+ -1 moreI thought I had an air conditioner but when it's in the attic you don't really know what it looks like and I actually had an air handler. With gas forced air, it's either an air handler or a space pack. I have an air handler. About 15 years ago they upgraded the system to run on a different kind of fuel and he got me up to date. Someone stole my air handler for about $20 worth of copper. The only complaint I had was that the end result on the outside near my roof line was not as cosmetically attractive as it could have been. I've used them 4 or 5 times at different properties.
Description of Work: They replaced an air handler which is kind of like an air conditioner and upgraded the system to the new technology.

Description of Work: This is the kind of man Steve is. I called him to service my furnace as he does every year. I also asked if he could do my neighbor's, who he has also cleaned for several years. She was quite ill. When he arrived,I told him I would pay for her cleaning as well as my own because she didn't have the money at that time. Instead, because she had been a loyal customer and realizing her circumstances, he did not charge her for the service. I recommend Steve to everyone.

+ -1 moreSteve came to our house, on time, and looked over our Air Conditioning System. Our old unit was unable to hold Freon and he went over several replacement options. He listened to our concerns and helped us find a great system that was within our budget. He didn't just recommend the most expensive unit, I felt very comfortable that we got a great deal. In talking with our neighbors, I know I did. He was able to get the new unit and install the unit the next day. We are VERY happy with the new unit and have found our HVAC company from here on out!

Description of Work: Air Mechanical is great. I have used them for years for a/c and furnace tune-ups. They are very responsive to emergency issues and have promptly and efficiently fixed problems through the years and will continue to use them for future needs.

+ -1 moreMy neighbor and I have used Air Mechanical Services located in Barrington for years. This year my neighbor has been ill. I knew she could not afford the service. I offered to pay Steve. Instead he cleaned and checked her furnace at no charge.
Description of Work: Cleaned and checked furnace and changed filter and cleaned for humidifier.

Description of Work: Steve came out because I had a problem with my furnace.He claimed he could fix it but, due to other concerns he recommended a new one. He was able to do so without having to put in a new a/c.
