Arun the owner is absolutely terrific. We had three companies bid on our landscaping and Arun had more experience and knowledge than any of the others. They were prompt and professional. Arun was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use them again.

I realized the day before we were leaving for an extended trip that I had not set up lawn mowing service for my yard. I found this contractor through Angie's List. The owner was extremely responsive, and mentioned that while their company does not do lawn mowing, he knows of a person that helps him with his own lawn mowing. He gave me the person's cell phone number. In the meanwhile, I got a call back from a company that I had used in the past for lawn mowing, so I did not use the person he recommended. However, I was very impressed with the owner's responsiveness and pro-activeness in helping to meet my needs.

Generally, it went well, but I was shocked by the price. They had previously done work installing new landscaping and, while that was not inexpensive, I was not prepared for the cost of the maintenance work.

The drain on our sump pump was not functioning, causing water to collect at the back of the house. Arun recreated the drain system, buried it and redirected it about 50 ft away from the house. Because this drain had to be buried where I had existing plants, Arun made sure that every plant was dug out and placed in pots for me to replant somewhere else. He even made sure the dirt was placed in spots that needed it. We were amazed at the outcome of the job, including how neatly it was done. From start to finish, Arun was such a gentleman, very polite and courteous. Arun was prompt with responding to my emails and telephone calls.

I emailed Arun one morning, and he called me within a couple of hours. He scheduled the work for the next week. Because our yard is very large, and the garden beds were in terrible shape, the men needed a second day to finish the job. I had used Rent a Gardener the previous fall for general cleanup, so I was confident that they would do a great job. Our landscape looks much better. Everything they removed from our yard was taken away in their truck at the end of the work day-excellent work.

Everything was great. The man that came out is the man that owns the company. He was very delightful, and gave us tons and tons of information, and I was very happy that I called them. He was very accommodating, and very easy to get along with.

The workers are very hard working. There were absolutely no surprises! They were very courteous and professional. I got my money's worth.

He absolutely respected that wish. Aside from the actual work they did, Arun himself is about as professional as they come - in any industry. He was extremely responsive, polite, considerate and he carried and presented himself well. Kind of reminded me of the Orkin man, but from the landscaping business. A class act. The billing was easy, the price was fair (not cheap / not pricey) and the whole experience just left me thrilled. We live in White Eagle in western Naperville...I would use Rent-a-Gardner again and again and again. A+ all around!

We had recently moved into a house that was nicely landscaped, but terribly in need of cleanup. Arun's group did a great job of cleanup.

They never called me back! I left two messages, and did not get a returned phone call. And their answering machine message says they'll call back within 24 hours; clearly not.

I called Arun for a quote on putting mulch in our beds. He was quite polite and relatively punctual. However, his price was approx. $900 more than other companies.

They were phenomenal. The three men that worked at my home were very helpful and went over everything with me several times before the install. He worked very hard to give me the work I wanted for the budget I needed to stick to. He was extremely honest. They were very artistic, and they seemed like they were treating my yard as their own. It couldn't have been a more positive experience.

I had been frustrated with several landscaping bids for design and maintenance at our new home, where the landscaping had been poorly managed by the previous owner. I gave up on the design portion as it was getting late in the year, and decided to just find someone to clean out the old plants and rock. Called Rent A Gardener, and talked to Arun. He suggested meeting with a contract designer Mike. I agreed and Mike came out and drew me a new design and gave expert recommendations on the trimming and cleanup. Arun's crew then came out and cleared everything away. I was most impressed with their professionalism, efficiency and especially their cleanup, when they left after all that work, my house, yard and driveway were company-ready. Mike himself came out to trim the crabapple tree, it looks great. I will use Rent A Gardener next spring to plant the design Mike provided us.

I can't say enough about the services Rent A Gardener provided to us! The fact this is our second year using them should speak volumes. The owner himself came to meet with us and was always on time and professional. The day prior to the work being done he met with us again to confirm our plan since my husband and I would not be home during the work. The quote they gave us the first year they worked for us was 40% less than other companies we had interviewed. The second year we didn't even bother with seeking other bids. Rent A Gardener did beautiful, high quality work and Arun was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Give yourself peace of mind and call Arun, you'll be glad you did.
