Arun arrived when agreed to measure the area to be sodded. The estimate arrived promptly. We negotiated the work to be done and adjusted the cost to my satisfaction. He again came personally the morning the work was scheduled to mark the areas to be covered and to discuss the steps to be followed. His crew arrived later that day and completed the job in about four hours. They prepared the area with a tiller, laid the sod very professionally with a minimum of seams and cleaned up the area afterwards. They also reseeded and top dressed the parkway beyond my lawn so the entire front lot will have uniform quality grass. I am very pleased with the job and would recommend them to others.

Overall, the experience went very well. Their attention to detail was very good, and they were very clean. They worked quickly. I’m happy with their services and made sure I was satisfied before I left.

Everything went well. I left Arun a voicemail on a Sat night and he replied back via email the next day. They came out a few days later and gave me an estimate. I approved it and they were out a day or so later. They trimmed the bushes well, some were round and some were squared but all were trimmed evenly. They also did our Rose of Sharon bushes too. All the clippings were picked up and they even threw in weed wacking around the house and trees since I was too lazy to do it myself last weekend! Thanks Arun!

They do a good job. Based on my personal experience though, I think it is important to check on them to make sure they do what you expect them to.

Arun visited my home prior to the job; did a complete walk-thru of everything I was looking for. Provided me an estimate of job duration, cost, and potential start date days after (well within response time we discussed). Took about 1.5 days to complete the work. Arun and crew were onsite promptly each day; meeting all expectations Arun had clearly set with me prior to start. Arun and the crew were great, start to finish! They were very focused, hardworking, and obviously "passionate" about the results they were working to achieve for us. You'd think this was their home they were landscaping. There were several times throughout the job where Arun and/or the crew engaged with me to confirm things were going well and to my expectations. I really appreciated this. In the end, my wife and I were blown away by how beautiful our home landscaping was. Kudos to Arun and his team! We couldn't be more pleased.

The previous owners of our home installed an "English rock garden" in the back yard which consisted of several gravel paths bordering the property and winding through the yard. They were impossible to keep the weeds out of and with small kids those rocks were everywhere. They also had not mulched in three years according to the neighbors. When the weather finally got nice we were up to our eyeballs in weeds and lemon balm plants that had taken over three beds and were beginning to encroach on our grass. After trying to keep up with it and dig out the invasive plants we finally decided to get landscaping estimates. We consulted Angie's List and had three estimates. Rent-A-Gardener's was the least expensive by about $800. They were also able to get us on their schedule faster than anyone else. Arun and his crew were amazing. They arrived early, and did a thorough walk through of our yard. I was worried because the yard had become severely overgrown in the three weeks between when we received the estimate and when the work was performed but the estimate was still right on. Arun and Hector made suggestions for ways to make the beds more cohesive and add curb appeal to our yard while keeping it relatively low maintenance, per our request. The first day both of our neighbors commented on how hard working the crew was. They were able to remove the gravel (which took the previous owners six days to lay) in one day. On the second day of work we had to head out of town so it was another three days before we got to see the yard. It was like we had been on an HGTV show. It was a total makeover! The yard took my breath away. It was so clean and neat, not a stone or weed in sight. There were so many thoughtful touches that we had not requested but that made the yard more attractive - like evening out all the tree rings and using brick we had removed to trim the beds. The crew even planted a few flowers that I had bought but never found a home for! (Thanks Hector the Clematis is already thriving!) We have invested quite a bit of money on projects in our home since we moved in last fall but this is by far the best money we have spent. Our neighbors say this is the best the yard has looked in nine years. Even with the heat wave, I sit out in the back yard every morning enjoying the beauty of God's creation and Arun's handiwork! Great job once again!! We had Rent a Gardener do work for us last year, our yard was is such need of attention of which we were not creative enough or able to do ourselves. We did a walk-a-round with Rent a Gardener and we decided upon creating several beds, much planting and mulching and had them out again in the fall. We were very happy and satisfied with the outcome both times. This spring we had them out again to add more beds, more planting of which included a few trees. Once again the crew was friendly and foreman Pedro was outstanding!! We did run out of mulch (due to my request to add yet more beds) so they had to bring out more mulch a few days later but also planted a few more things at my request at the last minute and all with a smile. We so enjoy walking in our yard daily to see all the beautiful plants & flowers coming up so beautifully - you wouldn't even know it was the same yard! We highly recommend Rent a Gardner to anyone who wants a great looking yard. We look forward to having them out again in the fall and again next spring! Let me start out by saying that my experience with this company is the reason I informed Angie's List to cancel my membership. I think it's a joke that Angie's List would give this company a Super Service Award considering the way I was treated by them. My wife and I purchased our house last year that came with quite a bit of professionally landscaped flower beds. I took it upon myself last year (with zero previous landscaping experience) to do the spring cleanup and apply mulch. I ended up with a lot weeds growing in the beds and a lot of people recommended to me to hire a professional landscaper to clean it up and apply something to control the weeds. I knew it wouldn't be cheap but I thought it would be money well spent. After looking over reviews on Angie's List, I got a few quotes, and to my surprise the lowest quote came from Rent A Gardener, a Super Service Award winner. Well, I felt really confident about hiring them to do the work so I did. I was told by Arun that the work would be completed in a day. Well, the crew came and apparently he underestimated the size of the job because they did not finish the cleanup the first day. Also, they did not order enough mulch. So, they had to come back a second day, where again they didn't finish because they didn't order enough mulch. Finally on day three the work was finished. Looking at the work, comparing it to other professionally landscaped yards I see driving around I would have to say the quality of their work is below average at best. When I was invoiced for the work, I received a bill that was about 50% higher than the original estimate. After complaining I got him to stick to his original estimate on labor so he did lower the invoice a bit, but I still did end up paying more than the original estimate. I have owned a service business for 14 years and never in that time have I not honored a written estimate. In fact, if it was my business I wouldn't have even charged the customer for the additional mulch because it would have been my mistake for underestimating it. I was just going to move on with my life and not even bother posting a report until last week. After two months have passed, I have to say that my flower beds look exactly the same to me as they did last year. In fact in some of the beds there are clearly more weeds than last year. Keep in mind, last year I applied less than half the mulch and did not use any weed control product. Also, all the work was done by me, a complete amateur with no clue about landscaping or gardening, and to me it looks exactly the same or worse in most places. When I emailed Arun to ask him to make it right, he ignored me. I can't tell you how many people have come over, looked at my landscaping and said: "I can't believe you hired a professional landscaper, why didn't they do something about the weeds?" This is the type of service I got from Rent A Gardener.

Everything went very well. Arun was prompt in returning our call and setting up the initial appointment. He came out and spent time with my wife getting a feel for the entire project. The landscape designer also met with us both before the landscape plan was developed and after to explain the plan and get our approval. The work was scheduled promptly and the crew showed up on time on the appointed day. The crew worked hard and diligently. The work was completed ahead of schedule and to our satisfaction. Some additional plants were added to the plan on the fly based on the available space. This was handled quickly and efficiently. There was one glitch. During the initial meeting, my wife indicated that some landscaping along the side of our garage needed to be removed as part of the project. I think that Arun might have forgotten that. I reminded him on the first day, and it was taken care of with no problem. We originally wanted to save the Japanese Maple in our front landscape to transplant elsewhere in our back yard. Originally, we did not think this would be possible. The crew leader, Pedro, indicated that he could do it no problem. Arun and Melisa (the landscape designer) suggested several place in the back yard and we chose the best of those locations. We are so pleased to have saved that tree. Extra kudos to Pedro for that!! All in all, they did a super job. Ahead of time, on budget (except for the additional plants we needed) and well executed. The crew was hard-working and courteous, and Arun and Melisa were great to work with.

Arun was attentive in calling back, getting estimates and general follow up. This is what I expect in businesses today and hardly ever find this. It shows he cares about the work his staff is doing. It was a nice experience working with Arun.

Arun was extremely professional and prompt in returning phone calls and in his knowledge of landscaping. His crew worked from 9 to 5 and finished in one day. There was one snafu in the work that was done and Arun called me about 20 minutes after I e-mailed him about the problem. He came up with a solution and fixed it about a week later, free of charge. The yard looks beautiful and you could never tell there had been a problem. Although I thought he was a little pricey, I will definitely use Rent a Gardener again.

Arun and his crew were very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. Arun's two-person crew worked two full days to perform all the work on our yard - they worked tirelessly and very professionally. They made many good suggestions about moving plants and designing our new border. We would definitely call Arun again for our landscaping and big yard tasks. I feel like they gave us a whole new yard and garden!

Arun was very responsive and easy to work with. The estimate was done quickly. He seemed knowledgeable. Because of rain, the job was rescheduled. Arun initiated the phone calls and was very professional. They all were punctual. We enjoyed the experience.

One Saturday I got online and sent off requests for bids to about 6 differnt landscape companies. Arun from Rent A Gardener was the first person to me via email that weekend and also the very first person to call me on Monday to follow up. We aranged a time the following weekend for him to come to my house. When he came out we discusses my needs, he answered all my questions and made good suggestions. Later that week he provided an estimate. In the end my wife and I decided to go with a differnt company. We went with another company who was owned by a close family friend of a friend of ours, becuse they were able to give us close family friend of a friend prices. With that being said we found Arun to be very, very professional, prompt, and friendly. We also found that he seemed knowledgeable and his prices were fair. We plan on asking Arun to consider bidding on any furture work we have on yard.

Arun met with me to go over the extent of the project, offered advice and provided an estimate in the time he promised. We set a date, tweeked it to work around the weather forecast and Arun and his crew showed up exactly as scheduled. Arun reviewed the project with his crew and then the guys went about the task of giving our landscaping a much needed facelift. The guys were accommodating and professional. They cleaned up at the end of each day and made sure I was satisfied with what had been done. Our landscape beds look great.

They came when they promised. They cleaned up really well. The staff was really hard working. What I didn't like was that, part of my problem was the weeds. They didn't really solve that problem. I think they over charged me. I wouldn?t use them in the future.

Arun is very personable, friendly, polite, and professional. The guys do a great job! Arun will let you know what he thinks needs to be done but he never makes you feel pressured to do more than you want or can afford. I have not researched a lot of places but I do think he is competitive with his price. Especially for the service you receive. We will be looking to do some additional landscaping in the future and we will absolutely be talking to Arun about our plans!

I spoke to Arun twice (one late in the evening and once on a Sunday) and he answered the phone both times. Very professional, gave a prompt estimate of the work and scheduled his crew shortly thereafter. They did a very nice job and I would highly recommend them.

Mr. Aggawal was prompt in reply to my inquiry and came over to walk through my yard to give an estimate. He returned with his crew and we walked through the yard again to go over everything which needed to be done. He marked everything which needed to be removed and flagged other things according to how they were to be handled. His crew was very thorough and did a wonderful job. He called the following day to make sure I was satisfied. I will have them back in the spring for more landscape work.

Service provided was better than I expected, totally cleaned up, very professional and competitively priced. I will definitley use Rent A Gardener again!

Arun and I walked around the yard last week, and talked about the work that I wanted to have done. He was very professional and knew plants and trees well. Two of his men came yesterday, and pruned a large lilac, cut back the peonies, and did a large amount of weeding. They worked at a good pace, and did good work. I would use this company again. I'm not certain the price (worked out to $75/hour for two guys) was the best I could have gotten, but I was pleased with the outcome.

Part of it is still a work in progress but the rest looks beautiful. We are very happy with Arun and his team. Arun sincerely cares about customer service and is always readily available. He always comes by to check the work that's being done and wants to make sure everything is not only done to our satisfaction, but to his. Sometimes the quotes can take a while to receive, but quality like his is worth the wait. Would definitely recommend.

They were prompt, courteous and professional in all aspects from initial quote through job execution. The results were great and dramatically improved the appearance of the property.

Arun and his workers were fantastic. They were very punctual, and finished up when they said they would. The work done was excellent. Our house's exterior went from being one of the worst looking in the neighborhood, to one of the nicest. We've had many compliments, just because people have noticed such a difference. I would definitely recommend using Rent A Gardner for your landscaping needs.
