Description of Work: I was so happy that the company contacted me and I did not have to search for their number to contact them. I asked that receptionist did they service the area in which my rental property was located and she did a double check and got back to me within minutes and said that the owner said that he do not service my area. She also instructed me no how I can go about getting a refund on my big deal. Which was great no hassle I would use them if they were in my area.

Description of Work: Plumber did come out and I wanted him to video a blocked sump drain to the outside. The pipe was too narrow for his camera. They did offer to do other services instead (check well pump wire), but they said they could not help me with that either. The employees were very courteous but could not do what I needed.

Description of Work: I bought the "deal" to have my very old, noisy furnace inspected and cleaned. I was surprised by what a thorough analysis the service man did of all the problems, giving me an itemized list of what needed fixing at what price. He did not try to push me to buy a new heater, agreeing with my analysis that it could probably limp along another year or so, but I did decide to go ahead and get a new one and Perfect Home Services installed it the same weekend.

Description of Work: The deal was for them to rod out my sewer line. They did not do that because their machine could not get to my clean-out sight. I feel that I was cheated.

Description of Work: They kept postponing our appointments for four days. The plumber finally called and said it would cost $385 to fix my dripping shower head. He didn't show up again today, so I fixed it myself with a $20 part.

Description of Work: Service man arrived in a acceptable time frame. Proceeded with more than I asked for. I expected an opinion - not a "take apart" of my furnace. When I found what he was doing I informed him that I would not proceed with any service until I conferred with my son. He then wrote up a huge estimate and could not leave me a copy but said he would send one. He wanted me to sign a release on the service call - which I refused - He had just taken my furnace apart! I did not get that copy. My furnace is still running - why did I need $6600. fix?? I found the service man to be very pleasant but felt he was under instructions to act as he did. This experience reminds me -If it is too good to be true, it is! Which further leads me to distrust an offer you have at present on labeling the cercuit breaker. Though I must say that I've had really good Angie's List experiences in the past.

Description of Work: My main line sewer from the house to the street had at least one tile broken, and I could smell sewer gas whenever I did laundry, ran the dishwasher, etc. Jason Kapus ran a closed circuit television line through the sewer line from my outside cleanout, and I was able to see that there were multiple tiles broken, tree roots running through areas, and a drop in tiles from pressure, creating "puddles" of sewage along the way. He never even had to go into my crawl to do this, but I had a clear picture of the problem, which was far worse than I thought. He thoroughly explained what he could do: coat the entire inside (after removing all the sewage and roots) with a permanent liner, which would seal the areas that were exposed from broken tiles, and no more leaking, gas smell or flooding in my crawl. I did not feel pressured in the least and actually felt more empowered to make choices. He answered my questions thoroughly and promised action within 5 days. His two man staff came out (disappointed that I was not phoned first so I could have someone at home, although that was not necessary for the work) at 10 AM and were still there when I arrived home from work, having done more than half the job already. These men were fantastic. They introduced themselves (Eric Trent), and offered to show me the work they had done so far via camera. This was extremely comforting as I was able to see the completed work that ran into my home (it actually looked like you could eat off the floor of the lining), and then the unfinished line to the street. Once everything was done, they both explained waiting times (2 hours) of curing before running any water in the house. They were still there to show me that all was done, and to see that it was working. One man flushed the toilet while I watched the camera, and the water flowed through quickly, without any puddling, to the street, almost like a waterslide. We ran water from the sink, same effect. I purposely did not fill out a comment form for Angie's List for 90 days, as I wanted to make sure that the work was, in fact, all it was supposed to be. It is, and I am extremely happy.

Description of Work: I contacted Perfect Home Service to try to arrange for a plumber and to get a price quote. Phone calls go to a phone bank. Took a while for plumber to call me back. After talking to him and requesting a price quote I never heard back again from him. It is a good thing I didn't have a plumbing emergency like a leak or a non-functioning toilet. There is no excuse for not calling a customer back and not scheduling an appointment. Perhaps they should hire a receptionist instead of relying on a call center for conducting business. I do not recommend using them. There are too many professional plumbers who want your business especially in this poor economy.

Description of Work: Job was never done. Waited first time and got a call at the end of the 2 hour window and was told it would be 3 hours later. Rescheduled for 8 am, got a call at 8:45 saying they would be there witin the hour. Cancelled, had to go to work. Last reschedule was for 8 am also, got a call at 7:45 saying they would be within the hour, cancelled at 9:15 as they had not yet shown up. No regard for the value of time of the customer.

Description of Work: Heater / AC service tech did an excellent job. Was very professional and did a great job and took his time. Also showed up on time. The water heater tech explained that he could do nothing with the units but flush them, since they were a new type of water heater that does not require service or any type of adjustments, only flushing. How do you adjust a carborator on a fuel injected engine. How do you adjust the timing and clean the points on an computer controled electronic ignition system. The heater / ac tech spent at least an half hour on each heater / AC. The hot water heater tech opened and closed the drain on the water heaters and basicly declared that the price was the price and too bad and left in no time. He was also hours late and did not advise me that he was running behind. I thought I found a great company to service and maintain the mechanicals in my home, but now I have my doubts.

Description of Work: Evaluated and diagnosed the sewer problem. Fixed the issue with the sewer the same day and was told the crew would be there in 40 minutes, and they were there in about 25-30 minutes. There was no time wasted starting the project and it was completed the same day a few hours later.

Description of Work: Jerry displayed the highest professionalism with the exception of introducing himself when he walked into my home. He performed the required work and then informed me that I needed a new water heater and other trouble areas, and gave me quotes on the work that needed to be done. I felt that the prices he quoted me were too high for me to handle at this time.

Description of Work: We have been having trouble with tree roots growing in our sewer pipes. They came out the day after I made the appointment. Very professional tech.

Description of Work: Service was clean, very well and timely explained with TV visuals. Eric and Trent were as neat and clean as could be expected after several days if rain. After they finished, it was as no one had been on the premises. Earlier inspections and sewer line cleaning by Jason and Ben were equally helpful and professional.

Description of Work: I bought a coupon for a water heater flush and water line check. The person did a minor flush, not what i expected and did walk around to check all toilets and sinks. He did not tag the cut off lines as I expected, per the coupon said. I had asked to please come prepared to check an outside faucet that was dripping. He did come prepared and did the replacement, which i pre approved, but I felt the price of $525.00 was very high.

Description of Work: My first encounter was an email I sent early Sunday morning to request service. Amazed that they called me within an hour! They were able to promptly schedule my appointment that week. They came on time, calling before to notify me so I didn't have to stay home all day. Everyone was very polite from initial phone call to completion of service. We had a $49 coupon and feel we received so much more in return. Very thorough and ultimately professional. Services were performed efficiently. The only disappointment was the fact that they did somewhat of a hard-sell to provide further services. This is understandable, given the fact that it's likely the reason that they offer the $49 deal in the first place. Specifically, they tested our water as being "hard" and strongly and repeatedly recommended we purchase a water softener, extolling the damage that hard water can do to fixtures and appliances. We have Lake Michigan water which, compared to other places I've lived, is not all that hard. Whether hard or not, I'm not crazy about water softeners. I could have done without the hard sell. Otherwise, they exceeded all expectations by far!
