I was informed that they did service my area and I would be placed at the top of the list for today to receive service. Later in the morning I was called by their office and a message left that they do not service my area. This was an inconvenience since I was told otherwise I planned to get this work done immediately. The sewer requires rodding.

Description of Work: A tree root was found in my drain tile that cracked it. After that was established the whole spiel (sp??) that followed was high pressure and high money. I would much rather have had a tell-it-like-it-is discussion and some different approaches, from high end low end alternatives. Or maybe at least not the big bucks that they assessed. I can't remember the cost right now but it was over 1K.

Description of Work: We were having backup in our basement bathroom every time we would flush the upstairs toilet. Engineer Jason came out and assessed the situation. Found that previous owners had done a shoddy job underneath the basement floor. Ended up replacing a pipe

Description of Work: Lined sewer from house to sidewalk. Done in one day. They performed very well in all respects except they were rather casual with the administrative side of the deal: I am still awaiting some of the paperwork.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal coupon for sewer rodding for $79.00. Perfect Home came out and assessed the problem. The problem was with the branch line and not the main line. The coupon was for the main sewer line not a branch line. The coupon was not able to be used as intended ($404.00 value for $79.00). The first person that came out did not have the correct size rodder(he had a main line rodder). He called the office and asked if someone was available with a branch line rodder. They would send someone out when they were finished with a job currently in process. That person suggested 5 different alternatives all of which would have been a substantial dollar amount ranging from $900.00 to $3,000.00. At this time I'm not considering any of the alternatives presented to me. I did not know the line which needed the rodding was a branch line and not the main line. As Perfect Home was not able to honor the coupon as presented without costing me additional funds, I'm requesting a refund be made. Order #756486 Coupon Code Sewer-756486-1.

Description of Work: I bought a camera of and rodding of my sewer line for $79 and scheduled it for Thursday 8/8/13. They called up on the day before they were scheduled to do the work and said that they were canceling all the work for this coupon in Downers Grove. They were canceling due to the Village of Downers Grove requirement that the Village witness their rodding and that the village might require different heads and root cutters and that Perfect Home Services could not do it . I called the Village and they did not require that the Village witness rodding and had no requirements for rodding. The guy from the the Village said that the contractor probable did not want to do the work because if he wanted to upsell a repair, that the Village would pay half as part of a program, but that you had to have 3 bids. The village also comes out and cameras your pipe and this would preclude them upselling. I told them I wanted them to honor the certificate, but they said they could do it for $200 plus. Be careful when contracting for a ridiculously low price, because there is probably a hook.
