Mr Fix-It

Didn't do a good job all. So I did even call him back. He doesn't even tell when hes coming back.

I was so worried that I'd have to buy a new machine, but it was fixed in less than a week at a very reasonable price. I will send anyone who needs sewing machine cleaning or repair to Mr Fix-It!!

The owner showed up on time, installed the fan where a light fixture had been done. We talked about a few other jobs I have around the house. I will definitely hire Mr. Fixit again.

The price was far less than the sewing machine store I was considering and done in less than a week.

Very reasonable price to tune up, oil and fix tension on my 30+ year old sewing machine. Working like a brand new one. Bob knew exactly what to do.

My first call for repair for my 30 year old Kenmore sewing machine was to Sears. I was told that I had to bring in the machine to one of the nearest stores (Woodfield or Fox Valley) if I wanted to get it fixed. Apparently they don't accept them at Sears repair places. The cost was going to be $110, just to look at it! I was unhappy with that so I went to Angieslist to see who did sewing machine repairs. I found Bob, Mr. Fixit, and called him. He laughed when I told him how much Sears was going to charge me. I brought it to his shop; he said I'd have it back in about 4 days. It was a little longer than that, but not much. I asked what the repair bill would be and he said $39.95. I about fell over. Who fixes things that reasonably anymore?? His shop was loaded with vacuums, lamps and sewing machines. A real gem of a repair place, located just off of Route 31 in Aurora, behind the ACE Hardware on Route 31. It was a bit of a drive from my home, but well worth the trip. Thank you Bob!

The vacuum was repaired and cleaned up. He had the parts on hand and was able to do it in a few days.

He checked one machine in a few minutes because I wanted to take it with me. He had the other one ready within the week. He also gave me an old case for the machine

I think he is awesome and very kind, I have always liked him a lot. Also, his pricing has always been fair and he stands behind his work.

I was happy with the job that he did. They charged by the hour and he went right to work. I really liked that he didn't dolly around. He didn't even answer his cell phone while he was working. I think they are a very honest company.
