Description of Work: As the chosen contractor for Home Depot's Broadview, Illinois location, Kitchen Works took over after I had worked with a very good kitchen designer from Home Depot to design and purchase kitchen cabinets and other needed materials to remodel my kitchen. Kitchen Works then sent out their own staff to view the kitchen, review the measurements, and determine the electrical and plumbing upgrades needed as per various regulations and professional standards, as well as applying for village permits. I also chose to use the electrician and plumber who are contracted with Kitchen Works. Though it made things easier for me (didn't have to seek out qualified people), I believe my choice also meant that I paid a higher price for the work. I was pleased with the speed and quality of the work done, and I've been enjoying my kitchen a great deal over the past year.

The quote was for $9200.00. It just seemed pricey for the amount of work I was getting done. Their professionalism and responsiveness were fine. They showed up on time. They showed up at my convenience. They called back a couple of times wanting to meet to see if they could get the work. As far as that goes, they were okay. They are just pricey.
Description of Work: Kitchen Works came out last Monday to give me an estimate on doing some work in a bathroom.

I really liked Kitchen Works. I loved their carpenter. He did everything himself. He lugged all the cabinetry in himself. I don't know how he did it. He did drywall, plumbing and changed my gas line around. He was a really handy guy. I thought out of the whole experience the carpenter was the best for me. The electrician was good, too.
Description of Work: Kitchen Works was the contractor we used through Home Depot. They completed carpentry and electrical work, including new cabinets and new circuit breakers. We have yet to use the plumber.

First impressions are everything. I was forced to use them for a cabinet measure from a big box home improvement store. They did not call to setup an appointment. The kitchen designer had to hound them to call me. Then when they made the appointment they completely blew me off without a phone call. These guys do not know how to take care of customers - and based on the apathetic phone conversation I had, I don't think they care.
Description of Work: They were supposed to do a kitchen cabinet measure.
