Fresh Coat of Aurora

Was recommended to use Fresh Coat by a coworker (he had good luck with them). We, however, did not have the same results. Allan was terrible to deal with, having no tact, and a lack of common sense when dealing with customers (told my wife, "it's just paint" and "whatever" when she raised concerns). The work was done but had a ton of issues. He ended up sending two different crews over two weeks to try and resolve things. The first crew was the same that originally did the job and they left things still in terrible shape. The other crew was much better and resolved most of the issues. That said, we should not have needed two crews and three visits to finish the work properly. It should have been done right the first time. For what we paid for the work, his level of customer service and the workmanship from his (first) team was sub standard. Given how many good painters there are out there....I would stay away from Allan and Fresh Coat of Aurora.

The job was supposed to start on 11-8, but the painters did not show up until the 11th. There were supposed to be multiple painters however, only one painter showed up that day and only worked a few hours the first day. We had issues with scheduling throughout the week. They'd leave early or show up late each day. The job was originally quoted to take 2 days. After over a week, the job was not completed. The job is still not complete. Not only did they not finish the job, they did thousands of dollars of damage to our hardwood floors, paint on rugs and carpeting, excess paint on baseboard and door frames, paint extended into rooms not supposed to be painted as well as paint on the wall in our laundry room where they cleaned their brushes and pans. We found out at a later date that the first 2 painters do not paint as their profession, but rather as side jobs. Overall, this company could not show up on the date promised, could not show up on time, could not complete the project as quoted, and did thousands of dollars of damage to our home.
