Very well! Floorguard did an outstanding job! From the estimate by Jim, the scheduling by Julie and the installation by J.R. These wonderful people made this a very easy process. Our garage floor looks wonderful and we are very pleased with the service provided! Jim and J.D. answered any questions and were very knowledgeable. Communication, professionalism and a job well done! I highly recommend Floorguard!

HORRIBLE! Our floor bubbled. When I contacted the office I was told it happens 2-3 times a year. I was told it "occurs when the temperatures dramatically go up or down in a day'. We reviewed the weather for the three days of the project and there were no dramatic temperature changes. We had some concerns and emailed a very detailed list of questions we had before having the top coat sanded and redone. The questions weren't answered and we then received an email reading "we have no way of knowing when/if a floor will bubble. We have to deal with outdoor conditions such as temperature fluctuations, humidity, the way your house faces, etc". The weather for the redo was exactly the same as the first time. I called the office to have our questions answered to ease our concerns. I have NEVER been spoken to so rudely in my entire life! Everytime I asked a specific question, I was asked in a nasty tone, "were you there for the estimate?" I had told her yes the first time I was asked. However, she repeated that question to me no less than 15 times after. She spoke to me like a child and would not answer our questions. I was told that they are in the business and we are not. She just kept repeating the four steps they did and said there was no chance of any installation problem. I wasn't getting the information I needed from her. She scheduled someone to come out the next day to fix it. It was raining and humid so I was concerned about it bubbling again. The installer told me the bubbles had nothing to do with weather, but that the top coat had been applied too thick. He sanded off the top coat and put it on again. When we walked on the floor later in the week, we heard the exact same cracking/popping sound we did after the first installation. I called my salesperson this time and he scheduled someone to come out again. I emailed him with specific questions about our concerns once again. I asked for his response in writing. He never got back to me to answer any of my questions or concerns. The installer came out - very nice man- and said there were no air bubbles this time, that it was the sand material used to protect the floor from being slippery, that was making the noise. He gave me two choices, have the top coat sanded off and no anti slip material be used (he said the floor would be very slippery when wet) or he could sand off the top coat and apply a lot more of the sand to it (this would cause the floor to be very rough). I didn't like either option. Neither one was what I agreed to when hiring the company. He said the floor was fine and they would come back if we had any problems. We have loaded our items back into the garage and we will just wait and see. We hope never to deal with these people again.

Hired them based on reviews but regret it afterwards. They left a mess, left garbage by my neighbors garbage bin and epoxy was spilt around their garbage which I discovered the following day. When I tried to explain it to them, they were defensive and made it sound like it was my fault. I had to move the garbage bags near my garbage bin and was accused of dragging them over there and that is why the epoxy leaked all over. I had sent them pictures but they didn't make much of an effort try to resolve the issue. I believe I mainly spoke with Kathy who I believe is the office manager. During garage pickup, they didn't not take the garbage (I think due to the spilled epoxy) that was both outside of the garbage bin as well as inside. Kathy also told me that they didn't put the garage near my neighbors garbage bin. When repeatedly trying to explain this to her, she said she was done with this conversion and that I could dispute it with my CC charges. Someone did end up coming out to wipe off the excess epoxy but there is still traces of it outside. Also, when I went to open my garage door it was stuck to the floor and was told someone would be out to take a look at it but nobody ever stopped by for it. Long story short, terrible customer service, bad attitude, and would not recommend based on my experience. I image if everything would have gone perfectly, all would have been fine.

Response from Floorguard Inc
We are very sorry that this customer regrets having his beautiful floor installed. His claims about poor customer service are not true. Floorguard does not take the garbage bag with us, as stated in our customer contract. As much as we would like to take each garbage bag with us, we can't because of the space constraints of our trucks. Our installers are happy to put the garbage bags into a garbage can for our customers. The installation was in a narrow alley, and Floorguard placed the garbage bag to the right of the garage, on the outside. Unbeknowst to us, this customer wanted the garbage bags to the left of the garage. He then proceeded to drag the garbage bag across the driveway, horizontally, causing the bag to puncture and leak onto his driveway. We are aware of this because we take pictures of every job installation. This customer then called our office and stated that the material from the garbage bag that we left was leaking onto his driveway. We asked him to send in pictures of this issue. We take pictures of the preparation, the base coat, the top coat, and the overall job site before we leave each job. We immediately looked at our photos of his job. The photo showed that the garage door is down, there is caution tape over the garage door, and there is a neat garbage bag to the right of the garage. This customer's picture showed the garbage bag on the left side of the driveway. To provide excellent customer service, we immediately went to his home, took the garbage bag for him, placed it into his garbage container, and removed the stain from the driveway. This customer had also said that one corner of his garage door was slightly stuck to the floor. Our installer used a tool to loosen the garage door from the material; however, this customer refused to answer his door to allow the installer to make sure that he was satisfied with the remedy to his issues. Floorguard, Inc. has been in business for 30 years, and we always stand behind our work. We went out of our way for this customer cleaning up the leak that this customer created by dragging the garbage bag across his driveway. Again, there was never anything mentioned about a problem with his floor, we did a beautiful, Floorguard job. We fixed every issue for this customer, and he is refusing to pay for the work that was completed at his home. It is unfortunate that this customer was not satisfied; however, we have done everything in our power to create customer satisfaction through professional work and efficient customer service.

The price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay but it ended up being well worth it. This isn't just an epoxy floor with a few sprinkled chips on it. This is solid. It took 2 days. The first day the floor was prepped and covered with epoxy and chips. The next day they scraped off the excess chips and applied the top coat. It looks great. As others have reported there is a smell but it wasn't bad and in 2 days the smell was gone. If there was a problem it was that we had to wait to have it done.

I had the floor coated with a less expensive product that had application and sourcing problems. I called Floorguard after researching them on Angie's list. They came to the house the next day, with a large array of samples,an enormous amount of technical knowledge, appropriate recommendations and 2 hours of patience for my questions and color choosing. I was relieved to find out that Floorguard could prepare the floor for their product, without a lot of fuss and time. The installation started 2 days later and took 2 days. I'm thrilled with the result. The color is perfect, the clean up is even better. My neighbors agree, as do the passerby's and occasional guests......what a wonderful, clean garage you have.....is the standard comment. I strongly recommend Floorguard.

Salesperson arrived at my home on time and was very helpful, answering completely all of my questions. Efficiently measured and provided a quote, which included Angie's list discount. Went over all of the color options, pre-work, timing, etc. I was very impressed. I did receive two other quotes, both of which were about $$250-300 under Floorguard's price. But i really wanted to go with Floorguard, especially for their warranty. I called the salesperson, explained that i wanted to go through Floorguard but couldn't if the price variance was that much. He reduced their price by $100, which I was then comfortable with. Final cost was $1800. The two day process went well. First day was prep of the concrete floor, and putting down base coat. Next day the top coat was done. Installers were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. I'm very happy with the results.

Salesman Dave was prompt when I made the appointment. A little sales pitchy for my liking but he got his point across. An hour later a proposal was made. I got two other estimates from the top 3 on Angies list and this is where it got hard. Everyone had a different method of application and any other method was absolutely the wrong way to lay an epoxy floor. We went with Floorguard because the price was competitive and I felt their process was the best for my floor. It was a 3 day job and only a few hours each day. They showed up when I expected them, they were professional and friendly. They answered my questions without hesitation and called someone when they didn't know the answer. If all goes well I hope to have this floor looking brand new for many years to come.

I called FloorGuard to set an appointment. The salesperson was on time and very helpful. Upon measurement of the garage he quoted me a figure of $2,821 which I knew was list price. After I mentioned that I heard of them on Angie's List and that I was entertaining bids, he dropped the price to $2,300. I should say that I really wanted to use FloorGuard because of their reputation and probably would have gone with that price, which based on my research slightly below $2,000 would be, in my estimation, a reasonable deal. However since I wanted to really use them if they were competitive, I said "How about I write FloorGuard a check for $2,100 now and call it a deal". The salesman agreed. They got all their money up front and I got in my price range. The scheduling, timeliness and attention to customer care is exemplary; trust me I do not use that word for many contractors. The installation took two days, each day the installer was here for about 3-4 hours. The installer was an expert, as I can honestly say that the installation is almost if not perfect. FloorGuard has an excellent reputation. I may have paid a little more than others companies would have charged but the quality of workmanship, reputation of their product, and customer attention was worth it in my estimation.

Very prompt in scheduling estimate and installation. Estimator knew I had the competition coming out to also bid on the job - so went straight to his best price without a lot of haggling. The competition (another highly rated Angie's List vendor) didn't come within 20%. I have already recommended Floorguard to two friends.

Met with salesman who was very nice on 7/20. He was on time and spoke to me about the benefits of the epoxy (wear and tear) and the many different types granite chips vs metallic (more expensive). I went with Tan with granite chips. He gave me what I thought was a good price on my 700 square foot three car garage of $3700 and I went with it. First installer came on 7/23 and he used a hand grinder and large floor concrete sander to smooth out the floor. My floor was already in good shape being built in 2006 so he had less work than others. He showed up relatively on time and worked for 4-5 hours. Both installers spoke minimal english so I practiced my Spanish which was fun. Second installer was a different guy from first and his job was to spread the epoxy and throw the flakes everywhere. He worked also for 4-5 hours. I've attached photos of before and after. Overall i'm happy but there is small areas where they missed or epoxy didn't take. They also left all their chemical garbage in my trash can which is a no no for my city. I had to removed the cans and leftover trash and take it to a disposal center. I was told I should have called EPA but didn't (I'm no rat). They also dropped some sealer on my driveway which will not scrub off. So I give Floorguard a 8/10 rating. They did a somewhat decent job but communication was poor and they left trash with stains on my driveway. Not sure if worth the $3700, only time will tell.

We called Floorguard for an estimate, and the sales representative scheduled a visit on a Saturday to provide an estimate. David was very thorough with explaining the process and benefits of the Floorguard products. He also gave us advice on how we could further improve the appearance and maintenance of our garage based on our needs. Once we chose to go ahead, we scheduled Floorguard to install the new flooring during the week. The process itself takes three days to complete; each day was 2-3 hours of work for each stage of the installation process. Once this was complete, the floor takes an additional three days to dry completely. We are very happy with the quality of the work and the finished product. The installation team took care to prepare the garage floor first and helped us to remove some extra items under a half-wall in our storage room that we had not noticed as part of our initial clean-up. The installer for the second visit was late by 30 mins, and for the third visit by 90 mins. We believe that this was not the fault of the installer, as we were his last job of the day, and when he did arrive, he stayed past 9:00pm that evening to complete the work. What would have been helpful is if the administrative / scheduling staff were available by phone to verify any changes in the schedule - instead, we had to call David - the sales rep - to find out the status of the job. Overall, we were very satisfied with the quality of work and would still recommend Floorguard for any future work of this nature.

They had to prepare the floor and then came in and laid it with floor guard. It looks great. It seals the floor with stain system as it is very easy to clean it. If there is a stain from the bonnet or whatever you can just wash it and it also as a very nice look to it. The price was also fair and they were also very good in coming and doing it in a proper manner because we had to take everything out of the garage. I was very happy with them as I had done a lot of research on different people and different products. I was happy because they provided the same product with more reasonable price.

1. We were told there would be 2 men working, but the salesman later denied this. ... However the next day there were 2 men. 2. When the job was finished, we noticed some rough spots on the floor and the step entry was extremely rough and irregular. The samples shown to us were bumpy but not sharp. 3. The response was that he was not going to correct this issue and that this was normal. 4. My wife explained to him that in addition to young grandchildren, any adult who fell on the step would slice open their skin. It was that bad. He refused. 5. About a month later we received a letter asking us to sign a disclaimer. Then he would sand it but would not be responsible any more. 6. We hired another man at our expense who fixed the problem. 7. If you want to be treated nicely, as a good professional would do, don't hire this company.
