Herschberger Custom Fencing

Herschberger Custom Fencing seemed to be competent though somewhat expensive. It took a very long time before they did the work. There was a big windstorm which affected the fence. They removed a couple of sections of the old fence, and replaced it with some new boards and some they salvaged from the old fence. Then they painted it. They cleared up the mess too. The job seems to have been done right, as far as I can tell. They were very busy or something and it took many weeks before they were able to come and I had to pester them to get commitment to get going with the project. They would say they were going to come and they wouldn't turn up. I'd ring them and they would say "It rained last week," or something and so we were behind. I wouldn't know the fact that it had rained several days before they had to come, that I should know they weren't coming when they said they were going to come. That is the kind of conversation I had with them. So I would say responsiveness and punctuality weren't too great. We are talking about 20 foot of fence, or something like that. This seems a substantial price. I guess I would shop around for a fencing company if I needed this kind of work done again. Some companies will not fix a fence, they would only replace one. So, I would possibly use them again. Browse other companies first - there are many variables like time and size of job which would need to be taken into consideration.

We heard about them by word of mouth in the Amish community. They are cost effective and thorough in the job they do. They do not drink alcohol, which is a big issue with many of these companies. They are excellent.
