They were very contentious and had to come back a second time to do a full repair. The service did not work the first time, but they did come back a second time to do the job correctly at their expense. The service was a little pricey, but it was worth the quality of service. The roof has stopped leaking. I had no problems contacting the company or scheduling the service. The owner, Kasey, was very meticulous in his work. He worked with 1 other technician on the roof. They also did flashing for us and it was a very large job.

A different contractor replaced our roof in 2002, but over the years we still had a number of small leaks in addition to a couple of ice dams despite having the attic insulated in 2010. Also, some shingles blew off a couple of times in storms. Our roof is prone to problems because it is very low-slung over a split-level house, and it has several valleys that accumulate snow. If a windy snowstorm blows in, it is not uncommon for us to get drifts a foot or more high in at least two areas of the roof. I became aware of Swistun through Angie's List a while back and hired them to make minor repairs after some of these incidents. The last straw was in February 2014 when we had an ice dam following one of the innumerable snowstorms of our polar vortex winter, an ice dam that stained a large part of our living room ceiling. Despite the cost, I decided it was time for the big fix?replacement of the entire roof despite it being only 12 years old. Our previous contractor had retired, and I would not have gone back to him anyway. I got a somewhat less expensive bid from another local company that probably would have done a good job, but Swistun seemed like the natural choice. Owner Casey Swistun was always very responsive when I had called him for the earlier repair jobs, as was his secretary Claudia. Plus, his company specializes in difficult cases?which our house certainly is. Casey came up with a plan to seal up the most problem-prone area of the roof, and his crew cut about 40 vents into the eaves all around the house. Inadequate ventilation contributed to the ice damming by allowing warm air to stay in the attic, thereby enabling snow to melt on the roof. We've had several big rains since Swistun completed the job in late June, and I'm happy to report that we've been bone dry.

During the painting of our living/dining room, we noticed a water stain near the ceiling light. Swistun had installed the roof a few years ago and I had the email address of Chris, who was the salesman. I emailed Chris, who was on vacation at the time and he told me to contact Claudia. Claudia called me the next day and set up a date that they would come and look at it. She also kept me up to date. Casey, the owner came a few days later and did a complete roof inspection and recommend the repairs. On the scheduled day, two workers from Swistun, arrived on time and installed the vents, installed the cutter, and extended the stack. They replaced old shingles with new ones and cleaned up all material from the project. We have had a couple of good down pours of rain and the cutter solution did the trick.

They were there everyday and did everything they were supposed too.

This is the second time I've used Swiston. This time I contacted them on April 2nd because I had some leaks in my roof. Casey was here on April 4th to evaluate the problems. He actually went up into my attic to determine where the leaks were coming form before he provided me any estimate. Unlike others I've had estimate roofing work who only look at the job from the outside. He determine was was needed and made several additional suggestions that would protect my roof. I receive his written estimate on April 12th. Casey estimated he would be able to have the work started by June as they were very busy. I was contacted within a two weeks by Claudia from their office to schedule the work. They came out on May 8th and completed the work by the 10th. The crew was helpful, courteous and very professional. They cleaned up everything before they left. Casey was here several times supervising the work to insure it was done to his satisfaction. I would highly recommend Swistun to anyone for roofing or gutters as they have now done both at my house to my complete satisfaction.

The project started with one workman who finished his job in two days. About four workers came one morning and finished the roofing job the same day. All workers were polite and professional. I also want to commend Claudia in the office, who was always helpful, friendly, and polite. Dane Baird, the project manager, was informed, and professional and polite and helpful. I want to thank him for coordinating the job!

Estimate and initial process went great! Weather was a HUGE problem in getting the project done. They would not work w snow on the roof due to the possibility of a poor seal. Which took till mid March! Once a crew got to the house things went great and they work wonderful!

Very nice and informative over the phone. They came our on short notice and were punctual. They preformed the required services and gave us a copy of the work order.

Our outstanding experience with Swistun started with Claudiaand her handling of our request to break up snow pile ups on the roof in January. She then set up an estimate to replace our gutters (at our request). Dane arrived on schedule and did the estimate and turned it around into a proposal very quickly.We signed up to start the beginning of March but the weather prevented actually starting until 3/26. (We were out of town the month of Feb). He kept us informed as March progressed until we were able to start. Mike arrived to do the work on 3/26 and finished the job in 2 days. He was a pleasure to work with and was in and out very quickly, worked unobtrusively, and cleaned up when he was finished each day. We were extremely satisfied with Swistun and would recommend them highly.

I thought they were great. I like them a lot. I think they were great. They were really very good. They came on time and worked out fine.

We were out of town and I called Swistun to remove snow as we were having a leak at our home. They came the next day and took off the snow.

Casey arrived on time, replaced fascia and checked the rest of the house for loose fascia. Great to work with this company!
