The Swistun crew of 3 men was polite, very helpful, and efficient. Casey Swistun was careful to call for appointments and to work around our travel schedule, although it mean considerable trouble in scheduling for him. I was particularly pleased with Casey's volunteering to aluminum clad the interior wood surfaces, as well as to prime (paint) several interior surfaces. None of this was in our agreement. These two items saved me considerable effort and mean that I can use the cabinet immediately. After the window was opened, it was clear that a different kind of flashing was needed. Casey made a trip to Aurora (about 30 miles from Northfield) to get the RIGHT material. A VERY complicated job was done completely in a single day, as promised. I could not be more pleased. Conveniently, the night of the installation, we had severe thunderstorms and the skylights held and not a drop of water leaked!

Swistun has a $350 minimum for any work to be done. Chris Ryba gave us the initial quote and did the final inspection after work was completed. He was prompt in returning my call when I was concerned about the roof shingles sticking out after the work had been completed. The workers left without a word after they were done, even though they knew we were inside the house. However, during the final inspection, Chris himself adjusted the gutter guards so that the roof shingles sit nicely now.

Casey and his team were great! While we were hoping for an easy fix for our leaking skylight problem, Casey came in and told us what the big issues were. He worked with us to stay within a budget and he took us through every step of the process. His contract leaves no room for concern--you know exactly what will be done and what each part will cost. Their workers are professional and do a great job both in their work and their cleanup. We have had several storms come through since with no issues. Thanks!

We had a very good experience with Swistun, and found their employee to be professional, helpful and efficient. He checked out our roof and informed us it was in great condition. Swiston removed the existing gutter protectors, cleaned out all the leaves and debris, and washed the gutters out. We agreed not to put back the existing protectors as they were old, worn out and not working very well. This was evidenced by the amount of mess that he had to clean out! We removed all bags of debris and tided up after himself. Note: To wash the gutters the owner needs to have a hose pipe back and front that they can use. We were given information on other gutter protection systems and are looking into that.

What a pleasure it was working with Chris Ryba and his staff. They were very professional from the initial meeting to the very end. Although they were a little more expensive than other estimates, they made up for it in their professionalism and attentiveness to our questions. Whenever I called about something, they got back to me within a few minutes. If I didn't like the way something looked that they had done, they fixed it with no complaints. Chris came to check up on the progress of the job everyday and made sure we were happy with the work that had been done up to that time. After everything was completed, he came back and inspected everything to make sure we were happy with the work. And speaking about the work, it looks great. I have already gotten compliments from neighbors on how it looks. I would recommend Swistun to everyone.

This company is incredible! Excellent workmanship and look to the job. On time every day. Due to rain we had a 2 day job with the owner calling to advise and apologize for their inability to work! No ladder damage to the house or the yard. They are polite, honest and friendly. We definitely recommend Swistun!

I think they called me back the same day I left a message and had Chris come to my home within a couple days. Chris explained what needed to be done and further explained why solutions other contractors proposed would cause a problem. They had their guys come out as soon as possible and completed the work in 1/2 a day. The workers were very quiet and I did not even know when they left. Chris came out a couple days later to inspect their work.

Casey was very professional and provided a complete estimate for our work. We decided to use another reputable company that has a little more experience with the siding product that we will be using. The cost was also about $1800 more than what we paid.

Chris came out on time (10 minutes early actually) was pleasant, informative, and would not charge us for the small amount of work he did. We found a roof and gutter company to keep, for sure!

Chris came out to give me an estimate on the work I needed. He was very polite and got a quote back to me in a couple days. Once I committed to having Swistun do the work, a tentative time frame was given as to when work would begin. When the weather warmed up, Swistun set a date for the work to begin. I took time off from my job to be home on that date. Unfortunately Swistun called me the morning the work was to begin to say they wouldn't be there. It was frustrating trying to coordinate another date for the work to be done. All in all the work was done, and to my satisfaction. Before final payment, Chris called to find out if any changes were needed. I had a couple requests for changes, and he made sure they were taken care of immediately. I would use this company again.

From our first meeting with Chris Ryba (the project leader), we knew we had found an exceptional company. Unlike every one of the other companies we had requested estimates from, they had the experience and desire to do the detail work and use the custom materials we were interested in. They were as interested in doing a quality job and restoring the house's character as we were. The entire crew was professional, courteous and clean. Although they weren't the cheapest estimate, they were the best value when considering the level of craftsmanship and customer service. I am a very demanding customer, but Swistun was always accommodating and responsive to my concerns and changes. Our project turned out beautifully, and we have had many people comment on how great the house looks. In fact, several of our neighbors have contacted Swistun for estimates after seeing their work on our house.

Casey and his team were EXCELLENT. They were flexible in working with us, especially since we decided to change what we wanted to have done. They are very professional, courteous, and communicative.

The quote they sent in the mail was for someone else's house. There was no follow-up from them after they sent it, and I did not call back.

DURING THE FIRST LARGE RAIN IN OUR NEW HOME IT WAS OBVIOUS WE HAD A GUTTER PROBLEM! SWISTUN CAME OUT TO DETERMINE WHAT THE ISSUES WERE. CHRIS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HONEST! HE DID A THOROUGH INSPECTION OF THE GUTTER SYSTEM IN RELATIONSHIP TO OUR COMPLEX AND MULTI-LEVELED ROOF. IT TURNED OUT THAT SOME OF THE DOWNSPOUTS WERE OF INSUFFICIENT SIZE TO HANDLE THE WATER FLOW AND A COUPLE OF AREAS WERE NOT PITCHED CORRECTLY. CHRIS' RECOMMENDATIONS WERE ONLY TO FIX THE PROBLEMS (NOT REPLACE THE WHOLE SYSTEM- WHICH WOULD HAVE COST SUBSTANTIALLY MORE!). I APPRECIATED HIS HONESTY AND TRUSTED HIS ADVICE ON THE SOLUTION. THE WORK DONE WAS EXCELLENT AND EVERYONE ON THE PROJECT WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETE. DURING THE NEXT BIG RAIN IT WAS CLEAR THEY HAD FIXED THE PROBLEMS! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY HIGHLY. THEY ARE ABOVE AND BEYOND THE NORM OUT THERE!

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THAT SWISTUN DID, ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY COORDINATED THEIR CREWS (TIME-WISE) WITH OUTSIDE WORKERS WHO WERE TUCKPOINTING THE ENTIRE BRICK EXTERIOR (INCLUDING THE CHIMNEY). THE CREWS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES EVERY DAY - NO MESS ON OUR LAWN OR ON THE LAWNS OF OUR NEIGHBORS. CHRIS RYBA WORKED WITH US TO ENSURE THAT WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE WORK DURING THE ENTIRE PROCESS, FROM COLOR SELECTION TO DROPPING OFF SAMPLES AND FOLLOW-UP COMMUNICATION AFTER PAYMENT. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SWISTUN TO ANYONE WHO WANTS QUALITY WORK, DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
