Swistun does quality work, and their prices were reasonable. The job they did already went through the winter, and is working really well.

When the guy was finished he hadn't done what I had asked so I had to have them come back. I called them and they came back out and did what I asked. This the first time that I have had any problems with them. I had to pay them some more money to fix it again. The quality of the work was really good. I haven't had any problems since.

After buying the house and having an inspector predict another decade of life on the roof, I saw moisture over my bed. In the attic there was a 3" pile of snow under each mushroom vent and the attic fan was running constantly. We called a number of companies and Casey was the first to arrive. Casey explained what was happening and even told me I could replace the vents myself. After a year of procrastinating and saving money, Swistun was the right team for the job. They called the day before so we took the stuff off the wall and they got the job done without even needing to get into the attic. A quick inspection during the deep-freeze last week showed no more frosting and much healthier air exchange in the attic. Thanks Casey!

It was an excellent experience. They're here when they say they're going to be here. They're very punctual. They're very courteous on the phone, they return phone calls and I was very pleased with the quality of their work. I would use them again if I needed to.

Overall, the service went well. Two contractors came around 11am which was the time close to where whey estimated (they gave me about a half hour window), and started to perform the work. I really didn't have to be involved at all - as a courtesy, they rang the doorbell when they started, and they rang it again when they finished. They did not require any prep work from my part - which was to my surprise, since there was debris (miscellaneous wood cuttings) surrounding one of the downspouts. They took care of everything, which was such a bonus. I was happy overall with their work. During the last heavy rainfall, I checked the gutters and they worked great, and we no longer had water/moisture coming into our basement.

He was close to being the least expensive company. If you call him with a problem he comes out himself to fix what ever it is. They clean up after himself.

He was excellent on the estimate, presentation, paper work, etc. He was very good, but another company came out to be cheaper. The quality of the gutters and gutter guards was excellent as well. It was very hard to make the decision between the two.

It was really good. They were incredibly fast. They saw where I had some issues and they identified them and corrected them at no additional charge. They made some good recommendations. One of the gutters wasn't quite right, so they came back out promptly and fixed it.

I had used the company before for gutters and was extremely satisfied. They do what they say they are going to do and they do it when they say they are going to do it. They are very professional and respectful. They are outstanding when it comes to keeping the work area clean. Nobody has to pick up after them.

Great. They did the work we discussed and when I saw that one of the gutters would be poorly placed, they worked with me to find a better layout. I had a problem a few months later when one of the gutters became un-attached. I called them and they returned immediately to correct the problem at no charge, and called to let me know they had fixed it while I was out.

Their estimator was very professional and gave a more thorough inspection of the whole house drainage patterns more so than the other estimators we had. I wasn't here while the work was being done but so far so good. They did a good looking job and cleaned the site well and the person that initially gave us the estimate is scheduled to come back next week and do a final check to make sure the crew did the job to our and his satisfaction.

Casey came to my house 3 times (to make sure he understood exactly what was needed) before he gave me his bid. He personally delivered the bid and explained to me exactly what he was going to do. He also gave me photos to show me things I otherwise could not see. Casey reported back to me regularly during the entire job process.

Chris Ryba gave us the initial estimate and was patient with all our questions, going over and over the procedure and explaining everything he would do. After it was completed, he again returned to the building to examine the work and we discussed the job. The workers showed up when promised, cleaned up after themselves, Chris kept in daily contact about the progress of the job and then checked in when it was done to see if we were satisfied. The final cost was slightly higher than the estimate because of their having to repair a window frame.

We needed new gutters because the old ones had a lot of holes and would overflow. The overflow would go into our window wells and cause water to seep into the basement. They were excellent. We solicited bids from two companies. They were the only one that made an appointment to come out and provide a consultation before bidding. The other company was not willing to make an appointment - they just came, took measurements and provided a quote. Swistun's quote was not the lowest, but they were willing to come down a little on the price to match the other company's bid. They were able to come out within 2 weeks and completed the work within one day. They were very professional & cleaned up everything. The salesperson (Chris) was very detailed and answered all my questions. He also provided a thorough inspection about a week after the job was done. The new gutters work great and we no longer get water in the basement. I would highly recommend this company.

They came when they said they would and finished the job on time. The supervisor called to make sure we were happy with the work and gave us time to wait for the next rain to make sure everything was done correctly. I must say that even the torrential rains we had last weekend there have been no leaks or indication of any leak, so we are very happy with the work.

Chris Ryba was prompt, extremely knowledgeable, and professional when he came to do the initial visit. He answered all of my questions completely, and he literally explained every single step he would take to make sure the windows were properly installed. Although we went with another contractor, I will definitely keep Swistun in mind for future home improvement projects.

We are a small condo association in Chicago that sometimes moves slowly in getting things done. The old gutter/roof joint around our garage was leaking and rotting the wood below it. We chose Swistun after obtaining 5 estimates. Chris gave us the most comprehensive, honest, non-sales-pitch oriented info during the original inspection. Swistun was not the cheapest estimate for our gutter and roof edge repair, but the solution and method were more complete than that offered by others, which included replacing the lowest shingles over the gutter, and using a blowtorch to seal and melt the roofing tar around the lip of the roof into the gutter. FLASH FORWARD 3 years to this past summer. When we finally got motivated to get the work done, Chris honored the original 3-year old estimate, to our very pleasant surprise. They showed up on time, did great work, and cleaned up nicely. They were very easy to deal with. Chris and Martin (in the office) were both very professional, polite and responsive. I wish all of my dealings with contractors were this smooth. Unfortunately, I suspect this will not always be the case. Highly recommended!

They did the work in 2 days. They are extremely honest and I would recommend them enthusiastically. My only complaint is that the guy I spoke with kept interrupting me. I told him I wanted metal siding put on the fascia behind the gutters. I emphasized that I wanted metal and they put up new wood. I could not get through to him that I wanted metal. He told me there was already metal up there but there wasn't. But other than that, they did a beautiful job and I am happy.

What impressed me from the start was that from my first call, everything was handled exactly as promised. Additionally, Chris Ryba, who was our Project Manager, was most concerned with re-routing gutters and downspouts to avoid internal water damage which we had previously had (none of the other contractors I interviewed even suggested that). The workmen arrived on time, were polite and respectful, and Chris checked on the job daily. Their guarantee of satisfaction is superb and I would HIGHLY recommend Swistun! They are not the very least expensive but they most definitely are the BEST, and their pricing was "in line" with other contractors.

I thought they were great. They were probably one of the most expensive bids, but came down on price once they found out what the other bid's were. We had custom colors done. They got the colors exactly right, they almost did all of the work while we were out of the country, so they took photos and emailed them to us to show us the progress. Cris Reba was great also!

With such a small job, we thought it might be difficult to get a contractor to do this work. We called Swistun due to their reputation on Angie's List and they are a local contractor. We called on a Monday and briefly discussed the repair with Martin. We scheduled an appointment for a detailed estimate on Wednesday at 9:30 am. They had a small mixup and Chriis called a little after 9:30 to inform us that he would be late - no problem for us as Chris showed up about 35 minutes later. Chris was cheerful and professional. We immediately liked him when we met him. Chris could not give us an estimate as he needed to find out the smallest quantity of siding he could purchase from the manufacturer. He sent us a detail proposal within 48 hours. Because a full square of siding had to be purchased, I asked Chris to leave the leftovers for future disasters. We were told that this job would be completed within the next two weeks - and true to their word I received a call about 1 week later telling me they would be there the next day. A crew of two showed up and quickly completed the job. These two worked hard, cleaned up, and were very personable. Chris came back a week or so later to complete a final inspection.

When the crew came to do the work they were rained out in an hour or so. They came back early the next day (which was one of the hottest of the summer) and worked until late afternoon to complete the job. Chris stopped by several times to make sure that everything was going well, and again when the job was finished. He told us he would come again in a week after we had time to look over the job and make sure it was satisfactory. On that visit my husband asked him if he would take a look at the chimney to make sure everything was okay. He did, and filled in some grout that was missing. After the job was done, everything was cleaned up and all debris was removed. The garage was swept and left cleaner than when they started. We are very pleased with this company and would not hesitate to used them again and recommend them highly.

We were very happy with what they did. They had to replace a certain area that had been installed improperly and they were good with that and about getting the shingles to match. All in all we were pleased and I would recommend them.

I am really pleased with the results. The repairs were performed with high quality. My house looks like new. Dealing with this company was a pleasure. They returned calls, provided estimates timely, and performed the job when they said they would. I would recommend this firm to anyone looking to use their services.
