They quoted me about $3200. Other than the price, everything else about them was great. I would definitely get a quote from them in the future.

Swistun was a pleasure to work with, both on the phone and in person. Despite the job being more than we planned, we felt comfortable that the quality of the service and the work performed was good. I have now recommended them to a neighbor.

Chris Ryba came to give us the estimate in early April. He impressed us from the start by taking nearly 2 hours to inspect the condition of our roof and attic. We liked everything he said and worked out a plan for what we wanted done. The crew was professional and willing to please. Chris came by every day (the job lasted 5 days; 2 for roof and 3 for siding/gutters) to answer our questions and to make sure everything was done right. When we said we wanted an area of soffit sided differently that what he suggested, it was no problem to do what we wanted. We had asked about installing diverters for the rain barrels, but he said they were expensive and would not match the dark brown color we had chosen. Instead, he came up with a plan to give us 2 sets of downspouts; one for summer and the rain barrels and one for winter. While the gutter installer was working on the gutters for the garage, he saw me taking pictures and offered to take pictures of how the gutters looked from his vantage point on the ladder. Chris also took picutures of the chimney and vents to show us how the ice and water shield was installed around them and the flashing on the chimney saddle that is not visible from ground level. A few days after the job was done, Chris came back to do a final inspection. We both had a look at the gutters on the house and Chris showed me how the ice and water shield overlapped the gutters to insure we wouldn't have to worry about our fascia ever rotting again. When I asked him if the corners of the gutters were caulked enough he said they were but then he got his caulk gun and gave all the corners a little extra to make sure there would be no leaks. Having a major job like this done to our home is very stressful. We were extremely impressed with Chris' determination to make sure we were happy.

They have it down pat. Excellent follow up. Great job working around the rotten weather and clean up. Keeping me appraised of exactly what they were doing. I would enthusiastically recommend these folks anytime.

He did a great job. He was timely in terms of returning my calls. He came out and gave a quote and then came out and did the job. His crew was clean and quick. He was not the cheapest, but I had talked to three companies and he gave me the most information and so I went with him. He did a quality job.

Everything has been good so far. It is up and appears to be running good. They did what they said they would do. They came when they said they would come. They did an extremely detailed follow up and they were very good. They cleaned up very well. The guy is supposed to be here after the final inspection and I will make the final payment.

We signed the contract in Nov. however with the winter snow the work could not be done until spring. As soon as the weather got better they were out.

The work was done on time with great attention to detail. The men worked 12 hour days, always leaving the property spotless at the end of the day. Chris kept in touch and answered my questions and concerns. We have had torrential downpours and, of course, the February blizzard since , and the house [ a 63 year - old duplex ] hasn't had a hint of a leak. I am very satisfied with the whole experience . Thanks to Angie's List I found a gem .

The men were on time! They did the roof but forgot the yard area and deck. Upon calling they turned around and came right back cleaning other areas. They were fast and thorough! My neighbor saw them and called right away for their services! They did her building also right then!

Everything was EXCELLENT from the first call to the finished project. This was a small project, late in the year...December. Not the month to be doing gutters. But they came out and did an appraisal, very promptly. We had a small section of diverters to be removed and new gutters installed. The work was done, as working conditions permitted. Swistun was in constant contact with us concerning when they could do the work, weather permitting. They were ALMOST TOO caring about getting things done and our being comfortable with what they were doing. HOORAY FOR THEM!!!! THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE THE MODEL FOR EVERY COMPANY THAT PROVIDES SERVICES TO HOMEOWNERS!!!!!!!!! A GREAT COMPANY, with WONDERFUL, CARING, COURTEOUS, and EFFICIENT employees. The work was first rate, in a difficult environment. I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!!

I have never worked with a company that demonstrated such kindness and concern. They were truly professional from the start of the job from the finish. I called the company one night in hysterics as water was pouring into my basement from the window wells. I called Swistun as a recommendation from my brother who swears by Angie's List. I was treated with such kindness and concern and the owner himself came out within days. He took his time, measured, diagrammed and gave me 3 different options with 3 different prices. I chose to redo everything with the gutter guards and have had no more problems for the last year. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone having any type of gutter or guard work done.

Chris from Swistun was very responsive from the beginning. He responded to phone calls and emails quickly and started the job soon after receiving the check. His team even fixed one of our outside gates for free. I would definitely recommend Swistun.

We had several areas of water damage - along the front of the house. Soffits pitched towards house and water ran down the holes on the middle of the bricks to the dining room/bedroom and into the basement. Gutters to small to handle the amout of water coming off the roof, flooding the yard in certain areas. Water damage on back wall of house in great room - either side of the chimney/vaulted ceilings. Water ran the pitch into the ceiling of the kitchen causing water stains and cracks at the seams. Front of the house - soffits pitched away from house, new gutters/downspouts. Water damage along the back of the house - found that the plywood sheating did not meet the roof rafters/framing on either side of the chimney - gap of approx. 1 - 2 inches the whole run of the wall - both sides. Water would get under the shingles and run the pitch. Also found over the kitchen that the Tyvek was installed behind the flashing, which allowed the water to run down the plywood and lay on the ceiling of the kitchen and help with drywall damage. Shingles, sheating and plywood removed. Installed all new plywood, sheating and shingles on either side of the chimney. Over the kitchen - removed the siding and replaced Tyvek and flashing. Re-roofed overhang of kitchen as well. Also on the front of the house it appeared that we had a similar situation on the front of the house - 2nd floor with the same problem. Removed siding and Tyvek and replaced Tyvek and repaired the flashing. Reinstalled the siding. Casey spent two hours here for his first visit and we called him back and stated I believe we have more areas that need to be looked at. He came again for two hours plus to find what was causing the additional damages within our home. Casey was very professional, courteous and knew what he was talking about. I've dealt with a ton of contractors over 20 plus years of owning homes - Casey is hands down the best!!! And the office, Violet (I believe) was so polite and messages had return phone calls within an hour. The crew was here for three days and you wouldn't know they were here during the day. All very polite and professional. The yard was picked up at the end of each day and they let us know what they had done and were leaving. Casey was here two times a day to check on us to make sure we were satisfied with progress and if we had any questions. Side note - we had a family pet (spider) on the outside of one of the windows by the chimney and asked if they could work around her and they did! Her web was covering the whole window 2' X 8' and had watched her all summer long get bigger and BIGGER - about 3 inches in diameter (legs and body). My kids were thrilled she was still there and they didn't attack her. I made a mistake - SHE didn't attack THEM!!!! . The price was more than I expected, but it sure was worth it. I know now that my home on the exterior is protected and now I need to do a lot of drywall repairs and painting (Angie's List). You will be very pleased with the work Swistun does!! Dan Z. It went very well. Chris walked me through the work that would need to be done and his crew did what was agreed. The cost was roughly what they'd estimated and much less than the other estimates. I plan to hire them for some siding work I need to have done in the Spring.

Everything went smoothly. They did an excellent job and we were thrilled with the work they did.

They did give me a quote before starting the work. The quote was almost the same as others and there was just a difference of about $20 or $30. It wasn?t really the quote that made me make the decision. The overall rating they had online was the only thing that differentiated them from others. When they replaced the skylight, there was some trim on the inside of the kitchen and they did a really good job of preserving as well as placing it back up there. It probably saved me a fair amount of work. So that was very nice of them. They were quick, clean and courteous. I would definitely use their services again.

Very on time with doing estimate and job. This is the 3rd time we have had Swistun. They have been excellent and professional.

I had used Swistun previously, to replace the windows and siding in the back of my house. I used them again because I had been extremely happy with their service, the quality of their workmanship, and the end result. I was not disappointed - Swistun is as excellent a company as I remembered! From the quotation process with Chris Ryba, they were on-time, thorough, and set my expectations as certain things needed to be changed. Chris looked high and low to find matching colors for my house, since my colors are no longer produced. He let me know that proper installation would mean I would lose the "inside mount" for my shades. Once we reached an agreement, Chris kept me informed about their progress in receiving the windows, and scheduled the work to begin on November 22nd at 7:30AM. And the work began on November 22nd and 7:30AM! They worked every day that week, except Thanksgiving, and finished the project the following Monday. The workers were neat, respectful of my house, polite, and did excellent quality work. I was so comfortable with them, that I didn't hesitate to leave my house to run errands. When they left, my garage (where I had them set up their tools) was cleaner than when they started. They swept the floor and made sure everything was s*** and span. It was as painless a process as you could imagine.

Everything went well. No surprises. They came around 7:30A each day and worked until after dark. They cleaned up every day. The windows look great and best of all never need painting again. The back porch window is now easy to open. The front door looks great and helps keep out cold air as does the new back storm door. My Mom is very happy with all the work.

This company provided excellent service. They completed the contract with professionalism, punctuality, and honesty about any actual and/or possible difficulties or gliches as they proceeded, including cost complications. The man in charge was always prompt with returning any calls; he explained in detail whatever had to be done and always fully answered any questions. He did everything he could to expedite the process and make it easier and as cost efficient as possible. He was on the job frequently to oversee the work and ask if there was anything that needed to be done differently or in addition to what had already been done. He was curteous, friendly, and respectful of our time.

Everything went well. I've used this company before and knew I was getting excellent service. The carpenters not only did a great job but offered creative solutions to some questions I had. They came on time every day and worked late. They cleaned up every night before they left. Chris Ryba came by each day to make sure things were going well and to see if I had any concerns. In the last year, I had gotten estimates from other companies for the back porch project. None of them could tell me how they were going go to do it. When I got the estimate from Swistun, I was given a plan on exactly how they were going to do the project. I was impressed by the detail and knowledge. I have no problem recommending this company.

They were professional. They finished the work in a timely fashion. We have used this company for various things before and are always pleased.
