Mr. Swistun and his entire crew were very professional. His crew had to come over to the house twice to re-do some work, but the job was finally repaired to our and Mr. Swistun's satisfaction. He repaired the siding/roof/chimney issues we had for over 10 years. We would highly recommend Mr. Swistun and his company for roofing and siding repair.

They were professional - did the work on time and there were no surprises. The price was a bit steep - $650 for a half hour worth of work (and materials). But the work quality was high.

Chris did a great job of coordinating the whole job with us, the workers, and another company. Whenever we had a question or did not like how something was done, he made sure we were taken care of and happy with the work. We had contacted him a year prior to price the whole system, and decided to put the job off for a year, but this year we really needed the work done and after investigating alternative ways to bring our downspouts out of the sewer (rain barrel, French Drain), we decided to have the new gutters and downspouts empty into a pop-up system that drains into the earth with perforated pipes, grated drains, and a pop-up in the grass to drain any excess water. Swistun only dealt with the gutters, and downspouts, but they set up quickly, did the work in a few days, and Chris came back a couple of times to coordinate the downspouts being able to go into the drains. It was a bit hectic to work with two companies on one job that connected the two projects, but it worked out well in the end. The workmen did break off part of a hydrangea bush in the front, but that was where the new downspout was placed, and we got to keep the deposit Chris gave us in the beginning as payback. The gutters look great now and we are thankful for Chris' help!

Swistun sent Chris to inspect the roof and he climbed into the attic in search of the leak and followed up with a detailed estimate on the repair job. The work was scheduled some time in the future but we were regularly updated on the probable start date. The repair crew arrived as scheduled and were very professional and efficient. The job was completed in a day and a half. Chris made a follow-up visit to inspect the repair and to ensure we were happy with the work. First class operation.

Two men did an excellent job. They used ladders, cleaned all high gutters and did not walk on our slate roof.

This was the only company out of the 4 that I had quote the work that actually went into the attic to investigate where it was leaking. They were prompt in their response to my initial request for a quote. They kept in touch with me through out the project. There pricing was very competitive with the others that quoted the work. They did the work when they said they would. They cleaned up all the area well. Very professional in all my dealing with them. Great company to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

Due to scheduling we were unable to get on their appointment book for several weeks, but we were willing to wait. Professional and knowledgeable company; however, the estimate given was higher than what we would have preferred.

Chris, did an in-person estimate. Was on site at least part of each day of work. Workmen, were fast, professional, and thorough with clean up. Insurance certification provided and in order. Chris, returned to inspect job and gutter performance after the week of rain before invoicing.

Casey showed up on time as promised. He spent a good amount of time asking questions about the problem and then offered some suggestions on solutions for how to address the problems. He emailed a proposal a day or two later along with a bunch of informational material. His quote was by far the most detailed and flexible of the three companies I received estimates from. The team came out and did the work while I was at work. Everything looked great and clean when they were done. I had a question about one area of the gutters and emailed Casey a question. He came out the next day, looked at it, took pictures, and sent me a very detailed email discussing what the problem could be. I couldn't ask for anything more from a company and highly recommend them.

Swistun was prompt, knowledgeable, informative, and the price was fine. The person who came took it upon himself to stow the fallen downspout, rather than leave it where it fell, which I appreciated.I plan to have this company do the work, now that the insurance company has OKd the estimate and forwarded the funds. The other two companies were impossible: hard to get an appointment, endless phone tag, incomplete discussion of the work to be done, no estimate forwarded afterwards!

I am so happy with Swistun and their crew. Casey actually came out early this summer to quote skylight replacements on the home I just purchased, and noticed a major issue with the flat roof on my three-season room (an addition to the original structure). He noticed that the roofing material was buckled, and asked permission to take a look. He found that the roof was not tied into the house or properly flashed, letting water in; improperly installed roofing materials; and gutters that were not properly installed. He suggested holding off on the skylights, and repairing the roof first--a less expensive but much more critical fix. Since it was a very rainy summer, I got to see first hand that the roof was indeed dripping slightly all along the seam whenever the wind was strong enough to blow the rain horizontally. The crew was wonderful. They showed up right on time, did the work that was agreed on, and cleaned up so well that if you hadn't seen the roof before, you would never know they had been there. The roof looks wonderful, and even better--no leaks! The price seemed a little high in comparison to some of the other quotes I got, but those quotes were for repair and not replacement, and none of the other companies presented a plan of work that was as clear and comprehensive, and all the others were less responsive to questions and tried to push me to decide immediately. I am *extremely* pleased with everyone at Swistun. This is a very professionally run company, and that professionalism shines through at every level. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and will *definitely* be calling when my skylights and roof need replacing.

Fantastic, they removed the existing gutter and replaced the material that was damaged. Chris did a site survey and inspected the problem, then provided an estimate that was reasonable. The two workman arrived on time and finished the job in about 6 hours, including cleanup.

I had 3 leaks which were increasing in severity and had difficulty getting roofers to either show up or do give an estimate after the walk through. Casey was extremely thorough in his walk through and returned for a second walk through with his crew chief to ensure the logistics would be feasible on a 4th floor roof. His proposal was clear and delivered quickly. Casey's crews were very courteous and EXTREMELY hard working, working 12-14 hour days to get the work done (a flat roof can't be protected from rain once the roof is removed). Casey dealt quickly with the surprises: a need for venting the main roof and the complete replacement of the rotting joists in the lower roof. Through the whole process he was very communicative about the steps that were being taken. Overall the job was expensive but completely worth the peace of mind that it will bring. I wish I'd found Swistun earlier! I would highly recommend Casey for any roofing job, but particularly if it is difficult or unusual in any way.

I requested a quote through the Angieslist e-mail tool and Swistun contacted me very quickly to set up a time. Although they could not come out to my house right away they did set a date and assigned me a project manager. They delivered on everything they told me they would do and took extra steps like sending me an e-mail of my quote, to make sure I had all the information I needed. The work they did on my house even impressed my Father-in-law.

We've had several roofing companies who have come to our house to give us estimates on repair or replacing our cedar shake roof. The "repair" companies have told us they can repair the roof. The "replacement" companies have told us that the roof needs replacing. Swistun Roofing was the first company we were able to find that does repair and replacement so we thought this would give us a fair opinion of what actually needed to be done. Casey from Swistun was the first person that actually got up on our roof for an inspection! All of the other roofers merely looked around the perimeter of the house. As well, Casey spent about 1/2 hour inside our attic doing an inspection of the roof from the interior. He took his flashlight upstairs and got into all of the small crawl spaces throughout the attic. All in all, he probably spent an hour on the inspection. We were very impressed. While he was wrapping up his inspection, I needed to go to a meeting and when I returned I asked my husband what the verdict was...replace or repair. My husband said "neither". Casey told us we could possibly get another 10 years of life on the roof. He was realistic however and said that as with any roof, we could have a spot leak at any time. His advice was to wait and see on the roof. He felt that if we had some spot repairs done (which is what we were leaning toward with the other companies) it would do more harm than good. I was extremely impressed that here's a company that could potentially make tens of thousands of dollars off of us, telling us not to do a thing! When we do eventually have to repair or replace the roof, we'll definitely call Swistun Roofing.

Have used Swistun before. They are professional, punctual, and polite. Office staff, "Violet", is extremely efficient. Always a pleasure to work with Swistun. They are never the lowest bidder, but their quality of work, and dependability are worth the extra cost.

Mr. Chris Ryba was very professional. He responded to me request for a complete documentation. He reconfigured new gutters to flow better. His team was on time to do the work and they cleaned up after when we had hard down the following, my gutters worked nicely.

The person who came out to do the estimate was very skilled and helpful, and we agreed, after taking a tour of the perimeter of the house, on a plan of action. He emailed me an estimate the same day. We accepted, and they cut us a check for a few percent of the total job (as a rebate in case we weren't satisfied with the job) and then we hit a hitch. When they called back to make the appointment to do the work, we asked about the permit, and were told they normally don't do that for this kind of gutter adjustment work. We said we wanted one (our village is fussy about these things). They agreed and said they'd get the permit on the way in the day of the job (the next day). Got a call the next morning, and were told our village would not have the permit for a week. The job was performed the next week by two very hard-working guys who started at 8 am and finished at 2 pm, seemingly without a break (I couldn't even talk them into some ice-water! it was a very hot day.) They cleaned up so well I honestly couldn't tell anything had been done to the outside of the building (except for the shiny new downspouts). The work was as advertised, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I noticed a water leak spot in my bathroom ceiling and asked Swistun to come and check my roof for leaks. I had also asked him for an estimate on installing gutter guards on all of my gutter. Kazimierz Swistun, "Casey", the President of Swistun, came to my house shortly after my call and did a thorough inspection of my roof. The "leak" seemed to be caused by condensation in the "attic" due to a bathroom vent that was not connected to the outside of the house.. In addition, Casey did find other areas of the roof where the plywood was not securely fastened to the rafters causing the roof to have a "wavey" look to it. He also recommended the replacement of a 23 year old skylight. He provided me with an estimate and I agreed to have the work done. I thought I was going to have to wait several weeks to have the work doen because the replacement skylight had to be ordered, but within a week or so the work was scheduled. Casey's team arrived on schedule and performed all the repairs. Shortly after the repairs were completed, Casey stopped by to inspect the work that was done and we noticed that the roof was sagging at one end of the house. He went up on the roof and tried to determine the cause. It seemed that one of the rafters was higher than the others or the rafters were further apart so that the span between the rafts was allowing the plywood in the roof to sag.He did have his crew come back and try to correct the problem. The were 95% successful. I did not have the gutter guards install because the cost was higher than the funds I had to do the work. All in all, my experience with Casey, his team, and Swistun was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them highly.

They were great. The price was competitive, especially when we combined all the work into one order. The workmanship was outstanding. The city inspector complimented their work, saying it was clearly meticulous and one of the best he's every seen. We were impressed by the care and precision with which they did everything, including fixing underlying problems that surfaced once the old siding was removed. They were polite, cleaned up well and just a pleasure to work with. Marvin shipped a wrong size window and a damaged window and the Swistun guys handled it all as quickly as possible. Chris, the salesman and project manager, gave us sound advice about all the selections we had to make, and was there throughout the project. We found them through Angie's List and are very satisfied.

Chris did my mom's gutters last year and did a great job so I called him again. Great job and a wonderful guy!

Swistun is the best! The workers were so professional and did a great job. We added gutter guards and have no regrets. The guys were here finishing even when the sun went down. I am amazed. Thanks Swistun!
