Worked with Dane Baird from Swistun who was great and kept me informed along every step of the job and made some additional suggestions to make sure I would be satisfied with the overall job which shows me they care about the work they do. Contract had every aspect of the job in writing with a ten year warranty on all work performed. They even issued me a check for $422.00 and if I was not satisfied with any part of the job I can keep the money and they would correct the problem. So they not only back up there work with the written word but also with cash. Per the contract put one third of the total down with the remainder due on completion again if not satisfied keep the check. Job was done in a timely fashion weather permitting and it looks great, very satisfied with the job. Will definitely use Swistun again.

The work was required to be completed prior to a trip and the upcoming winter. It was successfully completed with only a delay in the promised start time on the scheduled day. It was to have been a morning appointment, but they did not arrive until approximately 4:00 pm. They completed the task to my satisfaction late into the darkness. I appreciated them staying and completing the task as opposed to "coming back tomorrow".

In general, Chris and his team from Swistun did a great job. I had a lot of work done, including replacing the whole roof and gutters replaced. We had the roof brought up to code (ice and water shield) and decided to fix the poor roof ventilation. We also had an old skylight replaced and a new tube skylight installed. Chris is very helpful and prompt, in most cases, in returning calls. I had some issues a few times with communication via email, where Chris stated the email did not come through. I resent 10+ times before he saw it. He missed a few of my voicemails as well, but in the end, he performed the services requested at the price he said he would complete them at. Since the majority of the work was started to due hail damage, the insurance company was involved. Although we only were approved for the upper half of the roof, we decided to pay the rest ourselves. Chris worked with us to properly itemize the code upgrades, including the venting, which allowed us to claim more than we were expecting when we started the job. The only minor complaint I have is regarding the time it took to finish the job. The job was started on November 18th, 2011 and was not completed until November 29th. The crew was skilled, but small. The most that were on the job any day was four and some days only two were on the job. It was a big job, but it seemed to crawl too slow in my opinion. Work so far is top notch. They were not the cheapest by far and close to the most expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

They are very good. The work was excellent. All of my dealings with them and the communication were excellent. They write a check and if you are not satisfied with the work, you can have so much of it back. It is kind of like a guarantee. I didn't cash it because the work was so good. I've used them before and they were very good then too. I didn't compare their prices but it was good. I would absolutely use them again.

I had found Swistun on Angie's List and had them come out to quote on our gutter/downspout/heat cable project. Dane came out on time and talked about the options for our building and was going to send me a quote. A few days after that we had a leak detection inspection for several leaking problems were having in the building. One of the leak areas was around the siding and deck. The inspector, who knew nothing about our gutter project highly reco'd I contact Swistun about these issues. Said he used them on all of his buildings and couldn't reco them enough. So I contacted Dane again to come back out and he brought Casey (the owner) to look at our problems. A few days later Dane, Casey and our leak inspector were all at my building discussing how we could economically stop our problem. I to,d them a full siding replacement wasn't in our budget, so they came up with some good alternate solutions. Once our project was scheduled Dane was very communicative about how the work would be performed and when. He was easy to reach via email or phone. He was on-site with the installers at least once very day and work proceeded without a hitch. They had our new downspout installed and a few days later a neighbor asked if it could be repositioned and they did it without issue. We were pleased with their work and would hire them again.

Chris arrived on time for the quote. I explained the problem of ice dams in part of my gutters, he check the area and assessed the situation, he suspected there was no ventalation in the eaves, the gutter were not pitched properly and the gutters would need to be replaced due to damage from the ice dams. All the other contractors just wanted to replace the gutters. His assessment made the most sense, not only replace the damage gutters but also take steps to possibly correct the situation. His quote was higher then the others but his evaluation of the situation made me decide to go with his company. The workers arrived on time and as the work progress they confirmed that there was no vents in the eaves of the house. Chris arrived during the job to make sure I was happy with the progress of the work & to check on the crew. The crew cut the new vents, put in attic baffles for the air flow, made sure the insulation was pushed back, replaced the soffit & facia & installed new gutter properly pitched. They left the area clean and as it was that morning. I am extremely pleased with their professionalism and quality of the work and would use them again.

See above. They were literally perfect. They were timely, and when weather conditions wouldn't permit them to work, they followed up with us in a very timely manner to make sure the work could get done as quickly and safely as possible.

The Swistun rep initially did not know much about the diverters, but did research how they are used and installed an shared the recommendation of another customer who recently installed diverters. Thumbs up for inititiative and responsiveness. They also were punctual for every appointment and professional. The quality of the work seems good as well. It is holding up nicely so far through this winter.

The owner came to inspect it and when he found something wrong he had the workers come back the next day to make corrections.

Two workers arrived exactly on time. Notifies us when worker were to arrive. Satisfactorily completed.

Work was completed on time and without issues. Dane was helpful to understanding options for work and violet was very helpful in scheduling bill payment.

Basically it was painless and required very little from me once work plan was agreed. It took around 3 hours to complete. When all was done I validated that what was requested appeared to have been done (which it did) and that was it.

Two pieces of aluminum siding at the top of the second story blew off our house. The company was professional and courteous from start to finish. Making an initial appointment was easy. The company is comfortable using email when appropriate. Upon inspection they noted some of the wood had rotted so offered the option to replace that as well. The work was performed (by someone named Videt) on time and on budget, and all without needing me to take time off from work to be home (work was all outside). All in all, a good experience.

Violet is very pleasant to deal with in communications. Chris is great as a project manager. I have found their work very professional and of high quality.

Swistun looked at the old gutters and explained that we should redesign the layout so water does not spill over the gutters and soak the foundation. They explained I needed oversized downspouts and leaf covers on the second floor. Then they installed same and my drainage and wet foundation problems disappeared. They were punctual, professional and thorough. They even came back to fix a problem I created by not following their recommendation. They were equally professional and thorough installing a new Marvin picture window in our MBR.

The price was going to be more than another estimate that we received, so we went with the other company. We appreciated the time spent assessing our current gutters and the options offered, along with extensive discussion of improvements needed or that were not necessary. We will consider them for future projects.

It is always wonderful working with the people from Swistun! They installed the gutters on my home in 2007. Due to a disrespectful of my property lawn maintenance service, I needed to replace 3 downspout extensions. I called the office on November 8th and spoke with Violet. She was very professional and when setting up the appointment was very mindful of my work schedule. My appointment was scheduled for November 13th with Chris. Chris arrived on time and answered all of my questions concerning downspouts. We discussed various options that are available and I made my choice by listening to all the valuable information Chris gave to me. Chris performed the installation of the downspouts on November 19th. I highly recommend this company. I will definitely hire them again in the future.

Casey Spister is very thorough and attentive. The price was higher than others, but he attends to things others would not; did the job and we felt satisfied and comfortable.

Inspected all gutters at the second story level. Found the hole. Where required were entering and patched it with aluminum.

Their workmanship is stellar. When the owner, Casey, sat down with us, it was like a master class in roofing and was actually fascinating. He detailed everything and explained it to us so we understood what the problems were, how to fix it, and what the options were. He came every day and went over what the crew was to do that day. It turned out beautiful, they did a fabulous job. The quality of the work is worth the price.

Chris, came out to give us an estimate and he was very professional. Violet, called to schedule the work and she was very helpful with coordinating everything. There was a little mix up with the arrival time, but it worked out okay in the end. The bathroom vent was installed with no problem, he kept my daughter's room really clean (the attic access is through her closet). Then, he came back bright and early the next day to check all our soffit vents. As we had suspected most of them needed to be cut open, he even took pictures to document them. We did find out from an energy auditor, that the vent tube was too long and Chris, had the guy back out right away to shorten it.

We have used Swistun before -- for a new roof, and the installation of replacement windows in the upstairs of our home. They do excellent work, and did excellent work on this job. Chris came and measured the windows; and then, after the windows had been ordered and delivered, his workman spent approximately 2-3 days installing them. The windows look great. Swistun did a beautiful job.
