UPDATE: After saying that he would NOT return our money, I wrote this review. Mr. Boldizsar gave us no choice but to use Social media as he refused to do the right thing after we told him we were unhappy with the water system he had sold to us. We had also made other purchases in excess of $6000 from Mr. Boldizsar during that same time period in which we were satisfied with ( sump pumps). The next day, after refusing to refund us and storming out of our home, he writes me a email offering us $2400 of the $2700 that we paid for the water system that was installed in NOVEMBER of 2013-NOT A YEAR AGO AS HE STATES. After he read the reviews, he then threatened to stop payment on the check if I didn't update my review! The check has now cleared my bank and so I have made my update. It has been an emotional roller coaster working with this company. BUYER BEWARE - Ridge Plumbing and owner Lance Boldizsar sells products that he knows nothing about and takes advantage of customers. He tells story after story about how he is such a honest businessman however, when pushed for the truth, he has no answers. Sold us a water treatment system that is inadequate for our home and for our needs. He set the expectations that his product would replace the system already in our home and that it would do a better job and be more cost effective. After having water pressure issues and other hard water issues, we invited Lance to meet with us and a water system specialist to hear why his system is inadequate. It was obvious during this meeting that he knows very little about well water and water treatment systems. We now have to replace his system and spend an additional amount of money on top of the ridiculous amount he charged us for his product that didn't do what he claimed it would be able to do. We originally wanted a credit from Lance for the $2700 we spent but he would not hear of it!! He got defensive and was yelling at us that in no way would he refund the full amount paid. He did offer us $400 for taking out the system that we paid $2700 from only 2 months ago. Doesn't seem like this is someone who backs his work 100% like he claims. Do your homework before buying ANY services from this provider.

I was having problems with both my toilets; and was told that they were not major repairs. Also, I was not knowledgeable regarding plumbing matters and so resorted to Angie's List. I was charged $800 for the repair of two toilets that could have been done by my brother, but he has contracted Macular Degeneration. From all accounts from friends and family members it was an outrageous price. And it was agreed by all that I could have purchased two new toilets for an even lesser price. Very disappointed in both Angie's List and Ridge Plumbing.

He was very friendly. Everything went well. He was a nice guy.

Work was done very well. There was a relatively minor hiccup during the installation due to poor plumbing from previous owners. The plumber fixed the issue and didn't charge me, which I very much appreciated.

They were nice, friendly and professional. I will be using them for all of my plumbing needs.

I had used Ridge plumbing prior to joining Angie's list, I had some faucets I wanted replaced and they came out and did that for me. Then later my toilet was stopped up, they came and removed the old toilet, went out to Menards and bought a new toilet and installed it in a very timely manner. Lance is very noce to work with and very trustworthy, I would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of plumbing services

Their service was fine. I think it was expensive. It was just a simple work and he inspected things. It's a family business; a father and son. I think the father knows how to do things, the son doesn't know how to do things.

My sister was home to greet the workers. They were prompt and worked an entire 3.5 hours running a snake down the drain to clear the clog. 3.5 HOURS!!!! They were great! Best of all, we weren't charged an additional cost for the more difficult drainage problem or time spent. Both men were courteous and cleaned up after themselves.

After finding Ridge on Angie's List, I gave them a call and they were able to schedule an appointment at my convenience. I scheduled them for Monday morning at 10:30 am. Lance and his son Mark arrived at 10:15 and were ready to get right to work. They did a great job installing the new toilet, explaining everything they needed to do as they went along. I got a special Angie's List price on the install for $350 which is far less than other companies charge. They suggested that I put in a new shutoff valve and the price was very reasonable at $95. When I mentioned that I had problems with clogging sinks, they suggested a bio-degradable solution that is easy to use. Lance and Mark are quite knowledgeable and answered any plumbing question I threw at them. The toilet looks great and it only took them a little more than an hour and a half to complete the install. I'm very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to call them again.

Ridge Plumbing came out to the house over the weekend. They arrived promptly at the time they said they would arrive to inspect the main sewage pipe. Mr. Boldizsar inspected the situation and quoted a price for the work that was needed to be done in order to solve the problem. He took the time to patiently explain what he had to do and how he planned to correct the problem. The plumbers placed drop cloths throughout the work areas to prevent any debris, stains, and/or damage to the basement carpet and tile floors. Mr. Boldizsar and his son worked very hard to open the main sewage line from the house. The work took longer than expected since the tree roots were entrenched in the sewage pipe. Even though the work took longer than expected, Mr. Boldizsar kept the price for his services at the original quoted amount. Everything was neatly picked-up and taken out to their truck. Mr. Boldizsar and his son were very polite as well as professional in their work. Again, I would highly recommend Ridge Plumbing. I intend to use them in the near future.

The plumbers came out right away to fix our clogged bathtub drain. They were very friendly and did a great job fixing the tub. They also discussed some other issues we were having and gave us a lot of great information. We will be calling them again.

I called Ridge when we had a small backup from our sewer line. He was able to come out soon, gave a very fair estimate to rod our line, and did the work quickly and completely. He was very pleasant and took time to explain what he was doing, as well as what he found (including a washcloth our 2-yr old dropped into the toilet!). He actually did more than what he expected was needed, but did not charge more than he had quoted. (Cost of job shown is from memory, so it may have been different. I know his bid was comparable to or lower than 2-3 others.) I was a very satisfied customer!

Our hot water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. I called Ridge Plumbing and spoke with Lance. He asked me a few questions about what type of heater it was and said he would pick one up and would be at my home in about an hour. One hour later, he and his son Mark showed up with the new heater. They were very professional and the work they did was neat. Took the old heater out - put the new one in - and were gone in a few hours. Lance explained the new heater and how to light it. This was my first experience using a service that I found on Angie's List. Lance and Mark were a pleasure to do business with and I highly recommend them.

Needed to move a washer and dryer to a different wall opposite a bathroom wall. Lance installed plumbing, including a nice wall box, and venting for the appliances on the new wall despite challenges due to the fact the wall wasn't of very modern build (50 yr old house). They protected the floor with a tarp, which was nice and made cleanup easy. He guaranteed the work on this job for 90 days, which was good because we later did need help clearing a blocked drain (those deeper pipes weren't use to the water flow from a washer). So that work didn't cost anything. They were easy to talk to whenever I had questions, which I really appreciated.

We called some local plumbers on Saturday and no one called back. So on Sunday we looked up Angie's list and found Ridge Plumbing. We called them a 9 am on Sunday and they said they would come down by 11 am. Lance and his son were spot on time and after diagnosing the problem indicated that there was a clog in the kitchen sewer line and the trap of the garbage disposal was also not installed correct, infact was not as per code as well and had broken open. Lance gave as an estimate and I agreed to it. Lance then rodded the kitchen line and also installed the correct trap in the garbage disposal. He also recommended another product that we could buy from him which would keep the drains clean but when I told him that I would call him later her did not push. I appreciated that very much. I did not have time to comparison shop over the weekend but I did tell my friends about this experience and they told me that this amount was very reasonable given the problem and also the fact that it was a weekend. So I will definitely recommend Ridge plumbing to others as well.

They were very helpful from my first phone call, to showing up right on time, explaining what they thought needed to be done after listening to the issues I was having and then giving a written estimate. I was happy with not only the results of the work done, but how it was done, and will definitely use them again if needed.

I called them for a plumbing emergency and they came out very fast. They are a father and son company. They are very n ice and I felt comfortable around them. They found the problem quickly and they didn't tear up my home making the repair. They just made a small little hole so that they wouldn't damage my wall. their pricing was very fair. I am very happy with their services. I wouldn't hesitate referring them to others or hiring them in the future.

The disruption to our household for this job was potentially very great, however, Lance and Mark made an effort to mitigate dust, cleaned up after each day on the job, kept holes in the walls/ceiling to a minimum, and made sure we had hot and cold water over night, every night. They used a higher grade of copper pipe than required by code (L instead of M). The water pressure upstairs is now fabulous. We were told up front that drywall and painting are not services offered by Ridge Plumbing, which was information we appreciated knowing. That allowed us to begin our search for a drywall guy while the plumbing repairs took place. Drywall estimates were scheduled as soon as the job was complete. The project did not originally include hot water heater replacement. We had requested a hot water return line be added. (It makes it so you don't have to wait for hot water to reach the shower. You turn on the faucet and hot water comes out.) The return line feature required interfacing with the hot water heater, which was still original from when we moved in 14 years ago (and was probably older than that), Lance suggested replacing it. All in, this was a positive experience.

My sump pump was starting to sound loud and when I looked at the date it was installed, decided I needed to replace it. I've been ripped off so many times by plumbing companies that I spent three weeks calling and talking to people at various companies. Rates were higher than I thought they should be, except for Ridge Plumbing. Lance, the owner, came out on a Saturday with no additional charge to me and installed a new sump pump. He installed a reputable brand, gave me additional information about the different brands, worked quickly, cleaned up and left. He is very polite and professional and doesn't rip you off with pricing. A few weeks later I called him with a concern about a retention pump and based on what I told him he stated he could come out and replace it, but it didn't sound like it needed replacing to him. He had me test it and said he believed it was fine, but he could come and take a look at it if I had concerns. It's still working almost a year later so he must know what he's talking about. I know a dozen other plumbers who would have happily come out to replace a retention pump that didn't need replacing. Lance is honest and won't do unnecessary work just to make money. I have recommended him in the past and will continue to do so, and I'll also use him in the future.

Lance came the same day that I called for the estimate. He was prompt, professional, honest, and just seemed experienced and dependable. I got about 5 quotes, and his was right in the middle, so price definitely seemed fair. I decided to go with concrete rather than pea gravel, otherwise I would've went with Lance for sure. I'm definitely hanging on to his card for future plumbing issues, and would recommend him based on my limited experience with him.

This is the 3rd time we've used Ridge Plumbing. Lance does a thoroughly professional job. He's always on time, careful, neat, and highly competent. In this call, he had recommended a water heater replacement the last time he was here and we finally got around to doing it. He and Mark installed it in about 1.5 hours with no problems, and he took the old one and packaging away so we didn't need to dispose of them. He investigated our problem with poor water pressure to one of our sinks and was able to clear some debris from the faucet's innards. That part of it was a little expensive ($135 service call) but I wouldn't have been able to do it myself so it was worth it. Lance does a great job and I highly recommend him.

Called Lance early afternoon. He was out by late afternoon. Had replaced by 7pm. Didn't charge overtime. Nice guy. Did good job.
