RAUPP FENCE CO

I requested some specific parameters for the fence that were not followed. I would tell a friend to keep a close eye on them when they're putting the fence in.

Mr. Raupp came out to give us an estimate on a wood fence. He walked around the property and tehn sat down with my husband and I at our kitchen table. I thought he would provide us with some information about the type of wood, warranty, company background, etc. Instead, he just showed us some pictures of fence types and asked what we wanted. We felt rushed and he said he was very busy. He did not offer any information, but instead, just left and said he'd get back to us with a quote in the mail (snail mail - not email). After he left, we realized he didn't even provide us with a business card. We waited several days and finally, my husband called to get an estimate, as it never came in the mail. He gave my husband an approximate quote (close to $4,000) but said he'd be sending the actual proposal in the mail. This was about a month ago. We still have yet to receive the proposal. Not only was Mr. Raupp without personality or professionalism - his quote was the highest we received. We are going to proceed with Aspen Fence, which has been highly recommended and whose owner demonstrated more courtesy, concern for what we wanted and needed and much more professionalism than Raupp, who actually appeared to not even want our business. You wonder how these companies remain in business when the owner himself shows no interest in you as a potential customer and doesn't even get back to you in a timely manner with a reasonable quote.

I live in a townhouse community and we all have the same fences. He walked around outside and told me that my fence was ugly and terrible looking. He said that whoever built it did a bad job. He said that he would give me 2 different estimates, one for rebuilding the fence and the other to redo the fence. He showed me a picture of the design. He then took me to an additional area of the fence that needed repaired. I kept asking him what he was talking about on the additional area that needed to be fixed because I didn't understand what he was talking about. I asked to see a picture of the fence again and he said that he already told me. He told me it would be a few days before he got back to me because he had to get a couple of tests done. He was very irritable. I said okay to him and then I never heard back from him.

Good experience. Only complaint is the they gave us a timeframe of 4 - 5 weeks. They called the night before they were starting the job to say they were starting. We were having some landscaping done and we weren't ready. I would have been nice to get a little more notice. After some begging, they were able to start the job after a few days rather then putting our job back at the end of the list again.

They never called with a price quote so I called them again after waiting several days. The rep said, "Oh I thought I called you" and then gave me the price right away. It was more than I thought I could afford right now, so I asked him to break the quote into two separate prices, one for the gate one and for the fence. He said Ok, I'll call you back later with the breakdown. He never did so I hired someone else who was slightly more expensive but much more responsive.

I didn't.

The job hasn't been done she chose not to choose them because they never called her back. So they just did a service check. Total estimate and never followed through with everything.

This was a very positive experience, the workmanship was excellent. They built the fence one board at a time and really built a beautiful solid fence. After work began, we asked about another part of the yard and they gave us some ideas. We decided to go with the additional work and are thrill that we did. They removed the old fencing and cleaned up everything; this fencing finished off our yard, we are thrilled and so are our neighbors.

ARRIVED ON-TIME AND COMPLETED ON-TIME. WORKERS WERE POLITE, EFFICIENT, AND CLEANED UP EVERYTHING. I HAD TWO OTHER QUOTES FOR THE WORK AND ALL WERE WITHIN 2%. I PICKED THE LOCAL CONTRACTOR FOR THE JOB. THE ONLY PROBLEM..... NO ONE WAS IN THE OFFICE ON THE DAYS/TIMES I CALLED AND I ALWAYS HAD TO WAIT FOR A RETURN PHONE CALL.
