Paragon Mechanical installed a tankless heater in a 2nd-floor space and corrected a number of previous installation issues. Matt & John were the Installation Specialists, spending 2 days on the install with piping (gas supply & condensate drain), fitting the tank into a confined space. Matt visited before the install to detail the work estimate, discuss challenges and solutions so when the install was done, piping location, holes required in walls & ceilings were minimized & noted in advance. This was a very successful installation, due to the prep and care - install carefully done with pads to protect walls & floors, where both Matt & John were very careful of doors, walls, fixtures & cleaned up on both days. They not only vacuumed the floors & installation areas, but also wiped down the floors removing most of the plaster dust. Both Matt & John must be commended - professional, tidy, checked with me as work progressed & cleaning up. The result is fantastic! Thanks Matt & John!

Everything was done exactly as mentioned in quote. Our technician Matt was clean and neat. He left the area he worked in more organized and clean then it was when he arrived.

i had a pretty bad experience my unit was not working, they said it was the mother board and some other sensor that was not working, and I they could order a new mother board, but it would take a while to get and cost about 2K or they could just install a new HVAC unit since mine was old (9 years) and was like 10K. I called someone else out he came out and in 40 minutes replaced a cord in the unit and it has worked great for several months, he charged me 300 bucks. He also said my unit can last a lot longer than 9 years. Paragon then after complaining to them charged me incorrectly for 2 invoices for coming out instead of 1. In the end they charged me 360 bucks for the visit because they said it took extra-long to understand the issue... Even though they clearly did not understand the issue.

Didn't go well. Spent over $2500 just to fix the ac unit and then had to completely replace it a couple weeks later for another $6500.

Great, prompt, efficient, and courteous. No complaints!

These guys are total pros. Did the work on time. Always responsive, coming out if we noticed anything off, and when another contractor puncture a hole in one of the lines they came out to repair it quickly. Felt well-taken care of with Paragon.

Replacement of a 60 gallon indirect water heater tank. With this replacement I requested that a new mixing valve be installed and re-pipe the hot water circulation line. When they arrived neither worker knew about the new mixing valve and re-route pipe. They did not have the parts required to the job, Even though they had a stocked work truck. After the one worker arrived back with the some parts, they left only one guy working (the other guy did not participate in the work as should have been expected). It was getting late in the day (way later than expected) when he needed additional parts, So I actually had to call around town and find the parts needed to complete the job and pick up. This should have been a simple and straight forward job that should have taken less than half the time. After that, dealing with Kevin was a very unsettling experience. After charging me an extensive amount of time at a high labor rate and over 50% mark up on materials, they only credited me one hour. The job definitely should not have taken 15 hours to complete if they were prepared for the job with with efficient workers. Also, the pipe routing of the recirculation line is not properly working through the mixing valve So I have to have additional piping and valves installed.

We needed to install a Nest, and we have an ancient heart pump system, and Nest said need a qualified installer. We also were told we need new capacitors from a prior service provider, but they would never commit to a time to come install. I called Paragon on Monday. They answered immediately, heard my requests, and asked that I email a few pictures of my system so that they could send the right serviceman and the right supplies. They schedule an appointment for the next day. Krzysztof (Chris) arrived on time and did a great job explaining everything that needed to be done and why. He completely the work efficiently, abd then explained step by step how to use the new equipment. He could not have been nicer, and he left no mess. We were delighted with the service from Paragon (and especially (Krzysztof) and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Don was my tech and did everything that was requested, but also provided direction and suggestion for the best course of action, not only for the product but also for my existing devices and appliances. Of note, Don brought to my attention potential issues that he could see elsewhere in the house. Without pressure sales tactics, he walked me through how he would fix and what to suggest if I, or someone else, should work a fix. I will be calling Paragon again for additional services.

I called and got a voicemail, but someone returned my call very promptly after the initial missed call. The representative took my information and said he'd have one of the project managers contact me as soon as possible for an estimate. I received a call from the estimator later that same day. It was intensely unpleasant to speak to him. He started lecturing me on the phone that he was trying to "have a conversation." Apparently, I wasn't conversant enough? He said "have a conversation" no less than 6 times. After I told him that I had done a small amount of research on what type of boiler I need, he then told me it sounded like I had done no research at all, and that he knows "everything" about boilers. My annoyance level, now peaked, I asked if I could be handed off to another estimator because we clearly had some communication issues. He said he was the only one, so I ended the call.

We have hired Paragon Mechanical for both installation of a Nest Thermostat and for service on our furnace. The Nest Installation: The first thing you will experience working with Paragon is how buttoned up they are before the visit. In the initial call, I was asked a number of questions about the thermostat we were replacing and it’s wiring in order to ensure the tech had everything he needed for the installation. A couple of days before we received a reminder call about the appointment. And, we were called when the tech was on his way and also sent an email so we knew what he looked like. The visit was within the window scheduled and the technician, Elliott arrived when promised. He was able to get the Nest up and running without any issues and took the time to explain its features and check how it worked with our furnace. We were impressed enough with him and Paragon to have them back when we needed our furnace serviced. Based on our positive experience, we scheduled a service call to make sure our furnace was in good shape for the winter and we had Paragon our to help with an issue we were experiencing with the humidifier on our furnace. It was backing up in the filter and the tech changed the filter and also replaced the igniter in the furnace. One issue I had noticed when the Nest was installed was that the furnace room was significantly warmer than the room next to it. I assumed that this was just due to the small size of the furnace room and didn’t think much of it. Soon after this, we began experiencing an issue with a leak from our building roof and we also noticed some warping in the floorboards in the kitchen next to the furnace room. We brought in service that identifies causes of leaks and for the floorboard issue, he felt the heat difference in the furnace room was causing the issue with the floorboards. He made a couple of suggestions about sealing up the furnace and switching the direction of the vents to prevent the warm air from blowing directly on the floor. I was able to switch the vent direction myself but I needed a furnace expert for the other repairs. I was able to get in touch with Paragon’s General Manager Steve to discuss the issue and see what suggestions he might have. I was concerned that the temperature difference I noticed from before the first visit might have missed a potential issue that needed to be addressed. Steve was great and scheduled one of his senior techs, Chris, to come out to check on the furnace and the temperature issue. Chris sealed up the furnace to minimize anywhere the air was escaping. He looked at the airflow in the room and made some suggestions to help address the issue with the room being warmer (we need to add an outtake vent) and also explained why we were experiencing the issues we had. Chris was extremely thorough and answered every question I had about the furnace, our water heater and the issues we might be having with the vent configuration based on how the building was built. The last point was discussing why the air flow was not as strong in the rooms furthest away and some ways to maximize the temperature better like running the fan every hour for a few minutes while we were awake. I have been very impressed with Paragon Mechanical and especially how the General Manager Steve addressed the concerns I had. Their focus was making sure we were satisfied with their work and that all of our issues and concerns were addressed. We definitely will be working with Paragon for all of our future HVAC needs and highly recommend them.

Paragon was great from start to finish. Great communication before their visit, and the Tech, Chris, was fantastic. Chris did some fast troubleshooting, rewiring, testing, and we were back in business pronto. It ended up being an issue with our boiler's electric components. Chris was extra-responsive to my persistent questions, explained everything carefully, and was still done within an hour. I hope we never need their services again, but if we do, I'll definitely call Paragon.

Elliott arrived as scheduled to assess the problems with our Bosch tankless water heater. He explained to us clearly what was wrong with our water heater and we determined it would be better to replace the water heater than to repair it. I was then contacted by Kevin Polka who explained the various options available to replace the water heater. Kevin answered all of my numerous questions and sent me a clear proposal after we chose to replace our Bosch tankless water heater with two Noritz tankless water heaters. Then, Don and Doug arrived yesterday as scheduled to complete the work. The water heaters and piping were installed without a problem. They look great and our basement was left cleaner than before they started the work. The water heaters are working great and for the first time in a long time I was able to shower without being burned or freezing!!! I was extremely impressed by all the Paragon team and am looking forward to hiring them for the maintenance of the water heaters. The whole contract and installation process went without a problem, unlike the installation of our original Bosch tankless water heater year ago.

We were building a new house. They installed the system prior to closing.

I hired Paragon Mechanical to install two Nest thermostats. Theybsent a technician named Elliott - he was prompt, courteous, super efficient with his time and most importantly, he is an expert at his craft. He installed the thermostats in about 90 minutes, including the time it took to vacuum up the drywall shavings left from the install. The cost came in way under what every other shop quoted me at a little over $240. I highly recommend using Paragon Mechanical for Nest installs.

Said what they'd do - Did what they said. Professional and straightforward, in the quotation, negotiation and installation of my new boiler. Price was competitive. The personal attention to detail commendable. I recommend them.

If you have or want a tankless heater call Paragon. Tankless heaters are wonderful but can be finicky and have to be installed correctly. Most plumbers have no or very little experience with tankless, and experience is crucial. We were told by two different plumbers that our Eternal water heater, only 3 yrs old, wouldn't be serviceable at all because the company went out of business and parts aren't available. Paragon found the problem (a clogged condensate trap) and checked the rest of our setup for $300 when other companies told us it would have to be replaced, costing us thousands. I won't call anyone but Paragon in the future. Chris was very nice, honest, and explained and showed me things as he went which I appreciated. There was no pressure to replace the current unit which we had from other plumbers.

I left a message regarding a problem I was having with my Nest thermostat. No one called back.

From Kevin doing the initial consultation, to Kris and Doug and the rest making multiple visits to get my system running and upgrade it at the same time: all I can say is WOW! It's rare that you can combine "emergency service" with "planning for the future" but Paragon was able to pull it off. I fully expect to get them back this summer to perform phase 2 of the upgrade with zoned heat to a controlled manifold and install new European radiators--before the weather can get a chance to get cold again ;-). All in all a great job and beyond expectations!

The job was performed on time and the process was quick. I needed a professional install to have a Nest thermostat work with a Bryant Evolution system, which is a proprietary set up and required a relay to be installed. I thought I had an issue with my humidifier not turning off, but Paragon came to take a look same day and verified how this feature functions. Amazing service.

I have a Buderus Boiler and have had several contractors out previously to service it. Since it's a European Boiler, each time they'd need to learn how the system works. Chris from Paragon came out and was already very familiar with the boiler. He opened it up and immediately saw one part that needed to be replaced (that previous HVAC contractors had missed). Better still, he had the part on his truck! It was fixed within minutes. He was also thorough. Before he left, he went through a checklist to make sure he was leaving everything in proper working order and realized he had not reset a particular valve. This is the kind of typical human error that happens all the time and usually results in needing to schedule another service call. I appreciated that he caught the problem before it became a problem.

Hands down they are the best company I've every had the pleasure to work with. Scott Mattison arrived promptly and was very professional and knowledgeable on the thermostat and my Trane furnace. I'd certainly use him again for any HVAC problems.

They were very thorough and they really knew about water heaters. They knew all the brands and how they work. They explained in detail how the process would go.
