It was repaired and working fine....I was worried I was going to have to replace the system. All good now.

Terrible, I was totally ripped off by the sales person. I was never told that the heat would just go totally up the chimney. I was not told the log didn't come with a blower nor was I told it would not heat the room. I was not given other options to choose from. Response to my complaints was indifference.

Very quick and clean job. Cleaned out dust , cleaned glass, checked the pilot and replaced embers. I expected more things to be wrong, but was very happy with the job. Great job

The firm provided excellent service, was able to perform the service sooner than other firms I contracted, and didn't oversell once he arrived. Gave me thorough instruction, was friendly and competent. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough about the staff, service and quality of work from this provider. My new fireplace refacing has transformed the whole family room. Northwest Metalcraft was quick, convenient, and professional. They were promptly on time, converted our fireplace quickly, cleaned it up and brought in a new grate. We were impressed at the speed and quality of service. I called on Monday, and they were out at our house on Thursday in the midst of the holidays. Great service.

Chairs were recalled due to a potential hazard. Manufacturer could not produce a satisfactory redesign so they were replaced with a different model. Northwest Metalcraft did everything possible to make sure that we were satisfied. We are going back there to have our three fireplaces re-done.

The finished results exceeded my expectations. The new fireplace has become the focal point in the living room.

Very good experience. We've used them several times. We used them a year ago to put in the fireplace grate and to change our fireplace to a gas fireplace and actually put the gas lines in. They're a really terrific place. They've been in business for about 40 years. We went two other places and then we went to them. They had everything on display that we wanted to see, which we ultimately purchased the style they had on display. They came out and did an estimate to evaluate what they could actually put in the gas line. They measured everything. And then it took 2-4 weeks and then they came out and did the job. The installers are excellent. They know the product. They are very neat and conscientious. They are very good about explaining what the product is and how to use it. We've used them for a very long time. They are excellent. The price is pretty standard stuff. They are right on the ballpark. The quality of the product and the quality of the service is excellent. They call ahead and they're right there on-time. And if there's any issue where the guys tied up or they're going to be late, they call and let us know. The salesmen are very professional. The installers have been with them 20-30 years. They really know how to deal with people. They know the products and how to install them. They're really very good. We've had lots of house stuff done over the years. They're really the best. I'd absolutely use them again.

Met with Scott who gave us ideas and the latest trend in fireplace design. After the excellent quote I was given ,we went forward with the project .. I was visited by Three master craftsman Scott, Patrick and Tom who went to work creating our beautiful fireplace . I can't thank them enough for clean and professional job. . Would highly recommend.. Recently had a chimney fire that resulted in the complete loss of my original fireplace and chimney. Consequently I needed to design a complete new fireplace from the firebox and venting to the stonework and hearth. Worked with some fantastic people at Northwest Metalcraft. From Brian who originally walked me through the myriad choices of fireboxes and their many options, to Scott who helped get everything scheduled to Pat and his crew of installers and designers! Everyone was pleasant, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The result? One amazingly beautiful new fireplace. It's not only functional but a work of art. The crew that did the stonework was also just plain fun to have around for the day. They obviously work together well and the camaraderie was refreshing. I would HIGHLY recommend Northwest Metalcraft as your premiere choice for all things fireplace! They made what has been a very painful process (having your house catch fire) end on a positive note. They installed a gas insert fireplace, new mantel, new hearth, and new stone. They also mounted our tv above the mantel. Everything about this remodel was fantastic from start to finish. What a fantastic company! All of the employees are easy to work with and are thorough with explaining all of your design options. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company.

Workers arrived exactly on schedule. They replaced my gas-log unit and showed me how to operate it. They were in and out in less than an hour. They were careful not to get fireplace soot on anything. Very professional and efficient.

Salesperson was knowledgeable on products and guided us well in practical selection of stone and doors to meet our needs. Installers were very skilled and experienced, thorough and accommodating. Materials and work was very high quality. Work area in home was always neat and debris cleaned up. Work done timely and on schedule. We are extremely pleased with the results - the fireplace and room is beautifully updated.

Two workers came out to install and it was excellent. They were very willing to help you if you have any questions. It took them one day to finish the fireplace.

I thought it was a bit high just to light my pilot light.

We debated over the higher cost of an insert versus gas logs, but our family room is so cold and drafty, we bucked up and went for the insert. 5 weeks later we are thrilled with the decision. First, Scott from Northwest Metalcraft has provided the highest level of customer support anyone could ask for. I had several questions and issues that brought him back to the house 3 times for fine tuning etc., never once did he question my nit picky issues, some legitimate, some not as it turned out. Thirty days later, after having the gas insert fireplace on 3-6+ hours a day - yes it's hard to turn off because of the heat and aesthetic value - I feared getting the gas bill, but it was lower than the month before. Scott at NW Metalcraft said it would be but I thought he misunderstood my question, there was no way in my mind my gas bill would go down. Apparently, it heats the ground floor so well, it keeps the house heating system from going on and that saves energy. The upstairs did get a bit colder because of that but that never became a significant issue. I would recommend Northwest Metal Craft based on this experience, and I highly recommend the fireplace insert to anyone in our area with a similar family room on a cement pad, with two exterior walls and the third wall against the garage. This cold room just became an efficiently warm and aesthetically wonderful place for the whole family. We have the fireplace on all the time - there are 6 settings for heat, fan, light, etc so you can run it high or low and dial it up or back. we love it are happy as can be with the product and service.

I sent an Angie's List email to 3 vendors who had high ratings requesting an estimate on my project. One replied "We're too busy". Another replied "We will call" but it's been over 3 weeks and I haven't heard from them. The third was Northwest Metalcraft (for whom I also had a personal recommendation). Zac responded that he would call and did so the same day. We discussed what I wanted to do and he set up an appointment to come to our house. He came on time and brought brochures and gave us options after measuring our fireplace and looking at where our gas lines were. We agreed on a unit and set up a date and time for the install. Ryan and Miguel showed up on time, took a lot of care with our floors and furniture (pads, etc.), and began to work. They quickly determined that it would be better to bring the gas line in from outside (the meter is right next to the chimney) rather than through the basement ceiling. The whole process was done in under an hour. Ryan explained the proper way to start and stop the gas / fire. We have been using it every day since and it looks and works wonderful. The "logs" look so realistic. Plus we got the 5% Angie's List discount.

They arrived on time. They cleaned the fireplace and removed the old gas log starter. They installed a new gas log starter. They gave me a thorough explanation of how to use the new gas log starter. They were very polite and friendly.

Servicemen were courteous, hElpful and explained how the fireplace worked so I can do some things for myself going forward.

Ryan called and arrived ahead of schedule. He immediately diagnosed the problem and made the repair. He cleaned the glass and rebuilt the log assembly. The fireplace looks better than it did the day it was installed. I would highly recommend this company.

I visited their store to see what they had available, and Dan took me around and showed me my options. Once I knew what I wanted he sent someone to measure my fireplace to make sure the correct materials were installed. Again, the gentleman was very helpful, making sure I had exactly what I wanted. There was an old gas line leading to the fireplace, but we weren't sure it was good to use, so he sent someone out to look at it the same day. We decided to replace the gas line. The day of installation, the two men came and did everything exactly as we had planned, and it went very well. They cleaned up everything, and it looks great, and works great, too. It took less than one week from start to finish!
