Steve visited us for the estimate within a few days after we contacted with him. His estimate was the most resonable out of three painters (Angies A ratings). After I ordered verbally over the phone Steve came back and wrote up the contract. Steve adjusted the 5 days work schedule to complete before my business trip. Steve and his crew(of 2) showed up the first day and Steve walked the guys through the job and they started. All 24 doors including closet doors and sliding doors were spray- painted at our grage by additional crew. Steve showed up every morning and the end of the day for checking up. The crew did good job and cleaned up each day. The paint job was done very well and we are very pleased. When we made a final payment, Steve charged the material cost net to his supplyer's invoice.

We made an appointment. It was set for 10:30 he was not here so , at 11.00 I called him and left a message. The message asked him to call me and let me know if he was still coming and approx., time. He never returned my call. That was a very rude and unprofessional thing to do. Even though he seemed to have all A.s for his reviews. After this experience I wonder how accurate angie' s reviews are.

We would definitely recommend Midwest Painting. We are new to IL, with no family or friends to ask for recommendations, but we made the decision after reading lots of reviews and contacting several companies. Steve scheduled an appointment right away, answered all of our questions, and gave us good advice. Once the project started, he also stopped by every day. John and Hector were professional and their work was perfect. We had several areas that needed to be repaired and they took the necessary time to prep everything. Plus, they were very polite and personable. Steve also sent over a carpenter because we needed new baseboards. We are extremely happy with Midwest Painting. Good prices, too!

Excellent - we originally hired Midwest to not only powerwash but seal our deck. The powerwashing went very well, all over the outside area. However, with the deck, it appears that someone before us had sealed the deck without cleaning the deck first - so the deck looks better, but there is dirt trapped under the seal. All of a sudden, this is a much bigger job than expected. And Midwest was honest - they told us that we should not proceed with sealing the deck. The deck needed to be stripped - work that they do not handle. So, Midwest may have cost themselves this job with their honesty, but long term, we will absolutely call them again when we need painting work in the future (which we will).

The weather did not cooperate. Many days were lost because of heavy rain that caused flooding in our area but they adjusted to the conditions and performed their work in a professional manner and did it promptly.

The job was completed as described and the siding looked clean and refreshed.

Steve (the owner of Midwest Painting) was punctual and professional through-out the whole process. The work was completed on time and he did an excellent job! We also feel his pricing was very fair and competitive with other painters we had talked to. We will definitely use Steve again and have already recommended him to some friends.

Our home's taupe exterior was looking drab and there was some woodpecker damage near the roof. We called Steve from Midwest Painting, who came over that day to look over the house. He was punctual, open to answering my many questions, and always respectful. He recommended a particular brand and type of tinted stain for our cedar siding and provided color options. We also looked at colors from other manufacturers and requested a number of samples before deciding on a color - which Steve happily provided! The job only took about a week, including all repairs to damaged/rotted boards and 2 coats of stain (2 colors - 1 for most of the house, 1 for trim). Steve is great about following up on requests and questions, even after the job is completed and the bill paid - the mark of a real professional who takes pride in his work! We've already highly recommended Midwest Painting to our neighbors.

I requested an estimate to help me with a warranty claim with my door entry system installation. The estimate was complete and just what I needed to submit the claim to the door company. When the Spring comes, I will likely use Midwest for the actual job.

Contractor said he had experience in pressure washing synthetic stucco (Dryvit). Washing done with too much pressure and careless technique. Significant damage to exterior.

Steve was responsive and came out to give me an estimate quickly. Work was done in a timely fashion. No mess left when they were done. Four weeks after the job was finished 2 shutters came down. The old anchors came out of the brick. Steve replaced the 2 shutters and checked that the remaining shutters were secure. No hassle. Felt I got what I wanted done at a fair price. Would be very comfortable recommending them to a friend and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

He says on Angie’s List that he works in my neighborhood, but he was not able to do the service for us. We were disappointed because he offered a senior discount we would have been glad to take advantage of.

Overall were pleased with the job. The workers were on time every morning at 8:30 and started with power washing and some scraping of area's. The next day was more scraping and detailing areas and preparing for recaulking and priming also removed all shutters from windows to paint. The next day one of workers came in a prepared the ceiling for prior to painting ( remove damaged plaster and replastered with first application) The next day they finished with the scraping and began the first coat of primer. Carpenter came and replaced damaged wood on garage and the the painters then painted with prime. The final day they applied the first coat of paint and and completed the ceiling in the house by repainting the ceiling in living room and hallway where the damage originated from. The whole job took about 41/2 days but I was very pleased it got done the right way. The owner was out at our job site everyday and made sure his workers were doing the job to his expectations which in my mind is good business. I definately will use them again for any future projects.

Steve and his crew did a fantastic job. We couldn't be happier. All services to be performed were discussed in detail prior to starting the job. Quote was very competitive and consistent with actual cost. We chose to go with Benjamin Moore's top of the line arbor coat stain. Steve delivered and and the results show on our brand new looking home in Arlington Heights.

My overall experience on this project was Excellent. Steve, the owner of the company, answered my initial call promptly and came out the same day to review the project and work up an estimate. As we reviewed the work to be done and inspected the house, I indicated several areas of rotted wood that I was aware of that would need to be repaired before prepping and staining. Steve recommended what would need to be done to do the job the right way and assured me that he had access to top notch carpenters capable of doing the work. Steve then provided an estimate for this substantial job on the following day. The price seemed very reasonable and Steve agreed to begin the work later that week. Steve and his team showed up to begin the project as they promised. A team of three painters began powerwashing and prepping the house while Steve and his carpenter performed a detailed inspection to determine if any other wood needed to be replaced. Numerous other areas were identified that I was not initially aware of, but which certainly needed to be repaired. Steve kept me informed of all of his findings all along the way and asked me how I would like to proceed before he began the repairs. Steve and his team of carpenters and painters were very professional and worked diligently for about 5 days on the house. Steve was there everyday, working along side his team and insuring a quality job. The final product looks outstanding and I am very satisfied with both the outcome and the professionalism of Steve and his team. I would definitely recommend Midwest Painting and would certainly use them again.

Prior to having our siding replaced we were looking for someone to stain our exterior trim. We phoned Midwest and left a voice mail requesting a quote around noon on Tuesday. An hour later, Midwest phoned and arranged to come out the same day at 6:30 p.m. Steve arrived on time and gave us a quote on the spot that was lower than the two other bids we received. Since we were coordinating the painting with siding replacement timing was important. Steve worked with our schedule and came out to do the job that same Saturday.The work was done quickly and prefessionally with good clean up. All around a very trouble free experience.

Extremely responsive to initial request for quote. Patient with us while we worked out timing around our work and travel schedule. Quote was reasonable and within our budget. Once we signed contract, painters were on site within a few days. Steve (owner) checked in on paint crew regularly, checked on progress and asked about our satisfaction every day. Although he said he would correct any missed spots that we found right away, we found none. Painters, Chuck & Placido, worked tirelessly every day. Walls where wallpaper was removed were cleaned to be smooth as butter before new paint applied. Paint crew also asked us about our satisfaction with their progress to make sure we were happy before they left job site every day. We highly recommend Midwest Painting and Decorating, and will likely use them again for future work planned.

Steve and Midwest answered phone calls adjusted bids at my request and communicated every step of the way. They kept me informed when rain delayed the start and addressed and corrected my concerns during the job. They came back after job was done and they had been paid to apply a second coat of a stain to the deck when I pointed our some uneven spots and called back to ensure I was satisfied with the job. would use them again.

Midwest Painting did a great job with our projects. They were very neat, did a great job with the painting, and left no mess for us to clean up! Steve was great to work with and very responsive to calls.

My husband called on a Tuesday; Steve came on Wednesday to give us a quote. We called on Thursday to accept and they were able to come the following Thursday and Friday. Work started at 8:00. Steve was there both mornings to go over the days work with Chuck. Chuck worked until 4:00 on Thursday and was done by 3:00 on Friday.

Steve came out and for the estimate a week or so before the work started and called me the next day with a verbal estimate. After calling Steve back and letting him know we were going to go with Midwest he came back out and wrote up the contract and I ended up adding a couple things that added to the initial estimate but still under a couple other companies on Angies with A ratings + I had the Angies list 15% off labor coupon!. Steve let me know he could start pretty much right away (the next week) and would take 2 to 2.5 days. Steve and his crew (of 2) showed up the first day and Steve walked the guys though the job and they got started. The crew was nice and hard working. The guys did an excellent job and cleaned up each day. I really couldn't have asked for a better job....clean, efficient and the rooms look great!

It went great. Steve the owner was quick to respond and schedule an estimate appointment. He was on time, gave a fair estimate on the spot and seemed eager to help us fix our mess! The painting project started at 7:30am on the scheduled day and the crew of 2 was working on the project after Steve went over with them as to what needed to be done and where. I felt really comfortable with the two gentlement that were in our home. Actually I was upstairs the whole time sleeping as I just got off an overnite shift and I was able to sleep just fine - I could tell they were there working but it wasn't so loud that I couldn't sleep, which was a big relief to me because I was a bit worried about that scheduling it this way. Steve came back around noon or 1pm to check on the progress of the job which I found a nice thing to do as opposed to some other contractors I've dealt with. By 3:30pm everything was done and cleaned up and put back in its place. All our areas that needed help got great help! I know I'll be calling Steve in May when we have more paiting to be done - which this time we won't be doing ourselves!
