Where to begin. Matrix just completed the remodel of our basement and we couldn't be happier with the fabulous result. They took a dank, almost unusable space and turned it into a beautiful, inviting place to be. Rudy and Armando, Matrix carpenters, worked magic and Ben, the Matrix field manager, was in constant communication an ensured that the process was on-track throughout. Matrix was exceptional over the course of the project management process. The project manager was professional, efficient, and flexible. The design phase was accomplished with professional designers who listened to my requirements and vision and produced design documents that didn’t change much over the course of the project. In instances where adjustments were needed, I was informed immediately and advised accordingly. It should be noted that very few unexpected costs were encountered. The project manager was receptive and accommodating to custom work needed on the project. For example, I needed a special access panel for my whirlpool. The Matrix team responded by consulting with experts and designing and implementing an effective and sleek solution that did not result in cost or time overrun for me. All sub teams were professional, timely, and effective. There were very few surprises, which is a testament to how well the project manager was organized and communicated effectively. I was very pleased with how each team protected my personal property over the course of the build. Overall, Matrix did an exceptional job and exceeded my expectations. I would go with them again without hesitation.

Fantastic job - really happy with my new bathtub. Installers were friendly and knowledgeable and left everything clean. New tub looks beautiful!

Matrix's contractor and subcontractors were great to work with. Everyone was punctual, kind, and efficient. When problems came up, we were notified right away. Our project manager was communicative and came through often to scope the work and ensure it was done correctly.

Overall a positive experience. Once the work started, there no delays until the project was completed. Rudy and Armando do awesome work!

This was my first time finishing my basement with Matrix. They did a great job with everything! For being a new customer, they explained everything in detail which was great for someone who is not familiar with construction. I really appreciate it! My family is very happy with the end result! We invited Matrix based on recommendations of others in our neighborhood and they worked with us to make a proposal that fit our needs and budget. Then they did everything as scheduled with crews of professionals specializing on each phase. We are very happy with the results!

There were a few bumps at the beginning of the project. It was not what we expected. But after it was cleared, then we went smoothly til the finish. The workers they sent over to our house were really knowledgeable on what they are assigned to do! I will certainly recommend them for basement works.

Found Matrix on Angi. Their sales proposal was far and away the most professionally done. The materials they used were superior and they were very easy to work with. Communication was easy and the final result is well worth the money.

The entire project was completed very quickly and on time. Sub contractors showed up when expected and build passed all inspections the first time.

My time with matrix was awful. The two managers, Kirk and Kyle, were untruthful, mean and all around blame-shifters. They couldn’t fulfill their promises, so they decided to lie and blame their progress on us. They made countless mistakes with the project. Never use Matrix for any projects.

From the sales meeting to the final inspection day, everything went smooth. The matrix team was great to work with and all of the subcontractors they used were professional, kind and responsive. Overall, the experience with Matrix was great. Special shout out to Oscar and his partner as they did fantastic carpentry work, Bobby and his partner were great with electrical & Jorge and his team were phenomenal with all the drywall. A few hiccups along the way as a potential code issue wasn’t identified nearly as early as it should have been, however, Jackie and Ben were able to put our mind at ease if anything arose from inspections. Ben and Jackie were great with communication throughout the process, never going more than 24 hours without a response. A carpet installation up charge was disappointing as it wasn’t known about ahead of time and didn’t appreciate the carpet installation owner insulting me after having just met me 10 minutes prior, but I can’t fault Matrix for that. It’s worth noting though that the carpet installation crew themselves were great - would certainly recommend Matrix to others but with any company improvements in certain areas are needed.

Our home was purchased as new construction and completing the unfinished basement seemed overwhelming. After a neighbor had a great experience with Matrix, we explored working with them, took the plunge and are grateful that we did. Matrix provided us with a “One-Stop-Shop” for a very complicated project. Their in-house design team started with our ideas and then came back with recommendations that improved the outcome. The project management team kept all of the trade teams moving like an orchestra conductor, kept us informed throughout the project and effectively dealt with the inevitable “curve-balls” that arose. Bottom-line, I would work with Matrix again and will recommend them to family and friends.

Great company to work with. Their contractors are professional, helpful, polite and competent. The matrix office is well organized and on top of everything. Ben has been a great project manager. Would recommend!

Our experience with Matrix was good. We had a basement that needed demo but was mostly bare concrete floor and walls. Construction went smoothly and each trade cleaned up the job site daily. Overall communication with this company was good. Any issues were handled thru email via the Builders app and were responded to within a reasonable timeframe. Ben G. our assigned project site manager was in communication the entire time and any question I had he was quick to respond. He kept us informed of any potential delays and was quick to respond to any questions I had. The Buildertrend App made it easy to communicate with the Matrix team and stay informed on the subcontractors’ schedules. Overall, just a great experience and I like our new basement.
