Matrix Basement Finishing

Matrix did a great job on our basement. Everything was completed on time and very professional. Would recommended to anyone looking to finish their basement.

This is one of those companies that installs acrylic panels in the tub/shower area. Not a bad product, definitely saves time, and cost on labor and materials when compared to installing tile. Will see how it holds up after a year or so. The installers Walter and Marco were prompt, did great work. They were respectful of my property. I would’ve given 5 stars except the company did not inform me that the window trim kit that I selected and agreed to in the purchase order was swapped out with an alternative that I specifically did not want. The alternative works and I can live with it, but I don’t love it. After discussion with the two installers I understand the reason why the window trim was swapped, but I should’ve been contacted before the install and given a say - I am after all the one who’s paying.

Matrix has been great to deal with from the first meeting to the final inspections. Ben was our field manager and always kept us updated. One of the best things about working with Matrix is the Builder App that is used to communicate with them and to know every step of the way the progress being made and the calendar of when all the respective people (plumbers, carpenters, electricians, inspectors, etc) were coming out. Rudy came at the end finishing up all the final punch list items and did a great job too! Thanks Rudy!! They are extremely responsive! Thank you for doing such a great job on our basement remodel!!

We had a completely unfinished basement at the start of our conversations with Matrix. We started conversations in January 2023 and our project was fully completed by the beginning of May 2023. The contractors they used were extremely professional, courteous, and on time. I highly recommend using Matrix for any project as their communication is top notch and they make it incredibly easy on the homeowners.

We gave Matrix a deposit, and they opened a line of credit in my husband's name with the promise of a bathroom that would suit our wants/needs and did not deliver. The plans for the shower were amazing, but the plans for the rest of the bathroom were underwhelming. We did not like the materials offered, they do not install double sinks/vanities, and the tub was too shallow. Additionally, the electrical modifications involved were considered outside their scope of work. When we tried to cancel beyond the 72 hour window, they kept our deposit, the line of credit is still open, no goods or services have been exchanged, and they have not attempted to contact us regarding this issue.

They did a great job, everything was on time and on schedule. I would have them do any improvements to my house.

The job has been awesome from start to finish. The communication has been very clear and the field manager and team have been professional and awesome. The quality of work is very good. They have kept the working area clean as well as the surrounding area. They have been respectful of my home and my dog. I cannot believe how quickly the job has progressed. The Builder Trend site is perfect for someone like me who works outside of the home. Pictures are posted, the schedule is up to date and the bills are online. I highly recommend Matrix.

We had our basement finished by Matrix, and could not be more pleased. We can definitely say that, “our expectations were exceeded”! From initial contact to completion, the Matrix staff and various tradespeople were phenomenal. The quality of work is exceptional. There was an obvious pride of workmanship, something that is not so common these days. We would not hesitate to recommend Matrix.

Great experience overall. You get what you pay for with a service like Matrix. I am not in construction, and I paid for peace of mind for my basement project. I got more than I expected since Matrix coordinated the permit process, all of the materials procurement, all of the tradesmen that came through, the logistics of material delivery, material movement into the space from the delivery trucks, the city inspections, and likely a hundred other activities and decisions that must be made along the way. I didn't have to do any of that, which was a great weight off my shoulders. From the start. all the trades that came through were on time, with Matrix uniforms and tarps to protect flooring. It was clear that each trade was professional and adept at their work. I was impressed by each one, the attention to detail and the thoroughness. I liked the way the project was managed. I was provided access to a portal that contained a detailed schedule of work, a place to make payments, a place to send messages to the Matrix team and a place where the trades uploaded photos of the progress. The work was assigned a Project Manager that became my central contact, which was great. Any question or concern that came up, I took it up with him. If the trades had a question or concern, they took it up with him. That made for a very smooth process overall. I didn't have any issues throughout the work and that is because I received timely communication of any changes in the schedule or anything else that came up. From my part, I made an effort to do the same; to communicate my needs and questions. I am very happy with the final result, and I have peace of mind that it is done correctly and to code. I don't anticipate any problems with the work and I look forward to using the space for years to come.

We were originally going to have our basement finished by a “guy and his crew” but THANK GOODNESS we chose to go with Matrix instead. From the initial consultation (which was lengthy but super thorough and informative) until the final walkthrough, we had such an amazing experience. Victor was our project manager and he was so helpful - always there with an answer or solution. Miguel, our carpenter, was also remarkable. The app Matrix uses allowed us to stay informed on the entire schedule so we always knew what was happening and could plan around it. The quality and work is of the highest standards, and that includes a lot of wacky parts to our design, like hidden bookshelf doors and secret cubbies. The price tag WAS higher than the local guy would have charged, but the metal framing, spray foam insulation, and quality of work more than makes up for it. I cannot recommend Matrix enough. If you are considering them, go for it!!

I have nothing but great things to say about our experience working with Matrix Home Solutions. The process was smooth from the very beginning. It started off with Jeremy coming to look at floor plans and mapping out our vision. Jeremy was great to work with and very flexible especially with last minute decisions we had made. He was always willing to listen to what we were looking for while also offering his expertise. Matrix Homes Solutions provides an app on our phone that my husband and I relied heavily on to know what to expect, which worker was coming that day/ week, what project was going to be worked on next, along with pictures throughout the process. It was neat to see! Everything went up very quickly and we are very happy with the speediness and quality of the work. The framing guys were great by ensuring what went up met what we were looking for. They would come up with ideas and always run them by us to see our thoughts before pursing, which we highly respect. They were very flexible with a last-minute change that I saw and were more than willing to do it on the spot! Thank you! As far as the flooring, again great work by the flooring crew! They were quick and did a great job! Fred is amazing! He came to our house, was incredibly respectful, informed us of what we could expect, and gave advise using his experience and knowledge. Everyone that came to our house to work on this project has been amazing to work with. There are two individuals who I had the most contact with and feel these individuals deserve high praise! Gerardo was one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen not only with this project but in general. He came to do the walls, doors, trim, etc. He went above and beyond what we could have imagined. Gerardo was very clear on what his plans were for his work, gave me education on what looks best based on his experience, and always encouraged us not to be shy about pointing things out if they needed to be touched up because he truly wanted customer satisfaction (even if it created more work for him.) He was incredibly respectful coming into our home, very approachable, and professional. Thank you, Gerardo, for everything! Your hard work really made the whole thing come together at the very end! Finally, Rick the field manager! Rick was amazing to work with! He was always looking out for the best interest of the customers. Rick came frequently to check status of the project while ensuring everything was meeting our desires. Rick was always clear on communication and getting back to us with whatever questions we had. He was very dependable and always went above and beyond in his work. He was flexible with and changes we threw at him and always encouraging us to share our thoughts. Rick is incredibly professional, has a lot of knowledge, experience, and thought outside of the box. I also appreciate that he was able to look at things and catch the original plans and how it may impact our home life moving forward. For example, thinking about us and how we would move furniture back into the living space and offering to order a wider door to make our lives easier to do that. Rick was always looking to make things better and more efficient. There were things that Rick did not have to do for us but was more than willing and we truly could not have asked for a better filed manager to work with. Thank you to everyone who came to complete our dream basement! We are very glad we used Matrix Home Solutions to complete this project.

Daniel and his crew of contractors were superb! He brought our visions to life and transformed a blank slate into a one of a kind basement. Rick, our project manager, was fantastic for our basement project. He checked in frequently via visits to the site, texts & calls & responded to any questions we had quickly as well. We had things we didn’t think of until the project was going & he made adjustments with no complaints. The company that built our house messed up a lot when they were building & just about every subcontractor found something that wasn’t built or done correctly - they fixed all of them. Any hiccups in the schedule were resolved quickly. All the subcontractors cleaned up well after themselves. They also painted the walls coming out of the basement that got scratched/scuffed up during construction. We’re going to use matrix in the future for any remodeling needs upstairs!

Matrix was a great company to work with when we finished our basement. The selection process and financing were easy to navigate. Our project did take some twists and turns with some modifications needed to make everything work, and Matrix was clearly committed to making things right for us. Our project did run a little long, but Matrix was diligent to make sure we finished everything needed before our final walkthrough. We're very pleased with the finished project!

I called and talked with Mr Alex about some concerns I was having. He new exactly what I was referring too. He sent me the information I was requesting while I was on the phone with him. He made arrangements for the replacement of my Shower -Head and Hand-Bar to be installed on 1/13/23 I am very pleased with the results of my Bathroom project. Thank You .Matrix ,Mr Alex, Mr Marco

Matrix scheduled a consultation and canceled it 30 minutes before they were supposed to be here. I rescheduled for a second consultation and they called and canceled it 3 minutes before they were supposed to be here. I found them on Angi's list, because I thought that is where I could find professional and reliable contractors. In this case I was not impressed and obviously was not and would not of been any kind of priority to this company.

My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about our experience working with Matrix. We hired them to finish our basement and add a full bath. Everyone we worked with was polite, responsive and extremely professional. They have an amazing app that lets you see your schedule for each day and who will be on site. We started our project in September and they finished early December. Every week someone was working, which made us feel like our project was top priority. We will definitely be hiring them again for any future bathroom or basement projects!

I want to start by saying Daniel the Field manager is a Blessing. He was managing 13 other jobs and I felt like I was the only client. He is very thorough and responsive. Any adjustment was addressed immediately. He is honest and stayed on top of the crews. I would highly recommend Daniel as the Field manager. I am very happy with the outcome.

Good and the guy did a really good job i was pleased with the results but i was disappointed in the quality of the game rooms so i decided to go with the new build instead of the old build

Matrix finished my unfinished basement, Everything went very well. All the workers and co-ordinators on the project were professional and hard working. All the work was well done and looks beautiful. I'm extremely happy with the process and the completion of the project.

Matrix completed my basement and we are very pleased with the outcome! The Matrix team were all very personable and professional. Suzanna was always positive and quick with a resolution to any questions or concerns. David and Ron provided professional insight and were on site weekly to manage the trades that were working daily. The supplies were delivered promptly and put in the garage and each trade cleaned up daily before leaving. Mike W. & Brian K. were a pleasure to work with, always early and their excellent workmanship clearly shows. I would highly recommend Matrix for your basement or garage project.

Everything was smooth sailing from our initial interaction with the sales rep until finishing. Total time was about 3 months for our 1100 square foot basement and the schedule was adhered to. Everybody showed up and left on time from insulation to floor. Everything looks amazing and it added so much more value to our home compared to the cost

our site manager Scott with Matrix was extremely responsive, the work was completed by their contractors was excellent. Anytime there was a miscommunication it was remedied immediately and they gave us all the time we needed to make decisions and even gave us the space to make changes.

Everything went very well. We had a hiccup here and there, but no job is without a few hiccups. Daniel and his team were always conscientious about tracking debris in/out of our home. They were mostly there when they said they would be, and the work is absolutely fantastic. Our basement was raw space but when they were finished, we had a full bathroom, and plenty of space for watching movies, working out, shooting pool, and storage. Fantastic job!
