We have had a wonderful experience with Matrix. Our basement looks fantastic! It is finally cozy and livable. They completed the project efficiently and with quality. Communication with the project manager and contractors was great. They were thorough and graciously worked with us on any questions we had and adjustments we needed. Definitely recommend.

Matrix was very easy to work with. Very happy with the look of my basement. There were a lot of complicated molding cuts that are very precise. Extremely happy how it turned out. Even about a month after the project was officially closed they came back and did some additional paint touch ups after I decorated my basement.

We needed to update our existing basement and could not have been happier that we chose Matrix to do the work. They took the time to consult with us as to our needs and arrived with a plan that encompassed all of our needs. Our project was made all of the more difficult because our basement includes a fully functional model railroad layout that could not be moved and the workers could not have been better in working around this obstacle. Daniel and Victor were two of the most hardworking and meticulous individuals that you could ever ask for. Their attention to detail was outstanding. They handled those inevitable issues that arose very professionally and kept us informed every step of the way. We could not have been more pleased with Matrix Basements

Based on the recommendation of a neighbor, we contracted with Matrix Basement and we're so glad we did. Every person we met or spoke with was professional. Once given a timeline and the schedule, every professional showed up on time and completed their work on time. We really did not have to do anything other than watch them turn our vision into reality.

Awful. Do not recommend this company. We had problems with work and when contacted to fix the problems. We never received a call back or email back from the company. Awful experience and is not worth the money.

I couldn’t be happier with the amazing job Matrix did in transforming my unfinished basement into a 1,600 square foot in-law-suite for my mother. It does not look like a basement. It’s absolutely beautiful. But what is most important is the quality of work that was done. This living space was built to last. Matrix was by far not the cheapest, but they were definitely the best! You get what you pay for, and I have to say that this investment was worth every dollar spent. The people working for Matrix far exceeded our expectations. They were friendly, professional, and great at what they do. They were in our home morning until evening, weekdays and weekends. They were there working when we were home, and in our home when we were away. I never felt hesitant or uncomfortable for one moment with any of them. They respected us and our home. This was made possible by the excellent leadership of the project manager, Steve. He was our go to person, he made sure every detail was exactly how we wanted it. We had his personal cell phone number, and could contact him and any time with questions or concerns. He took everything to heart and treated this project as if it was for his own family. He was so kind and understanding with my mother while he worked to make my basement her dream home. Steve takes pride in the work he does, and the crew he leads. He was here every day checking on the progress, Making sure everything stayed in track, keeping us informed of the process and what to expect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matrix to anyone, with confidence that they will continue to do quality work. Many thanks to Steve, for making this a pleasant experience with amazing results.

Matrix Basement did my basement in Canton, MI. Here’s my reviews: Sales representative – Dan Davis 5 Stars. My first contact with Matrix Basement was Dan Davis. From the very start he was nothing but professional. A very nice person to work with. He did not try to hide the fact that Matrix Basement was on the pricy side, but guaranteed me I would be highly satisfied with the work. He was able to measure the basement and work up the pricing in one visit. He also made the meeting time convenient to me. In the end, Dan came through on the contract negotiations, which made it a win-win for both of us. I would highly recommend Dan Davis as your sales rep for Matrix Basement!!!!! Foreman – Shawn Sheedy 5 Stars. The basement work was outstanding by Matrix Basement. Shawn Sheedy was my foreman and did an outstanding job. There is a lot of coordination that goes on for his job, from the scheduling of the frame, electrical, plumbing, inspections, dry walling, painting, trim work and finish work. A lot of coordination that Shawn has drawn up in the Giga-byte memory of his (according to Shawn). Nothing was missed and nothing was out of sequence. From step A to Z, everything was done perfect. The crew that did my basement was Jose and his family. Unreal how good they are and how much of a perfectionist they are. They have every attention to detail and nothing was missed. A very nice family as well. Anyone having their basements done by Matrix Basements please request Shawn and the crew of Jose. Both get five starts from me!!!!!

Been looking to build a basement for a long time. Had an old couch and a TV in a cement floor, cement walls, dumping ground of old junk and out- grown children clothes and toys. We decided to just do an internet search on companies who could assist us with turning this into a 3-TV sports betting ground. The biggest challenge was I literally have no imagination for how things should look. Enter Matrix. Matrix sent over Dan Davis who sat with us and was very patient and literally ignored the embarrassing disaster we could not even hope to have ready before he arrived...We had barely made a dent in cleaning it up but he acted as if it was no big deal and started getting measurements helping us make suggestions on what we could roughly do with the space with the basic goals we wanted for what price. Dan passed us off to Shawn Sheedy, our contractor who worked for Matrix, as all the employees do (not subbed out). Shawn is down to earth, a real person, ALWAYS willing to take your call (even when out of town) and willing to confidently offer his word on what he is going to do, and more importantly when, and he's even willing to shoot you straight when he can't. Shawn is experienced with a creative background in building Detroit Auto show displays, blunt in a hilarious way which makes you feel at ease, but really knows how to use his talents and they people's around him to get the job done. I literally had no idea what I wanted and he extracted broken thoughts of what I was looking for from my head to help me work with Best Buy's Geek Squad (who he happen to know from running into at other jobs) to accomplish something I am very proud to show off. I trusted strangers daily in my home and they really earned. I can't go without mentioning one guy named Tom that Shawn sent over who really reflects what any company would be proud to have. Tom is clearly passionate about his work. He does not rush to do things the most convenient way, he has a strong attention to detail and listening. You would be foolish not to hire this company. They will help you even get it financed. Im literally sitting on the floor of my new carpet really happy I made the call.

My experience with Matrix was nothing short of phenomenal. From Nicki Vitti, Design Consultant, to Shawn Sheedy, Project Mgr. These two gentlemen ensured the project started, proceeded and ended to our satisfaction. Shawn was very responsive and replied to EVERY call and text. I was equally impressed with each contractor that Matrix utilized for the project. They all work directly for Matrix so are accountable to the company. Matrix did not use any "Independent Contractors". We all have heard those horror stories. Bottom Line; Our basement was worth every penny we paid. Thanks Shawn!!! Thanks Matrix.

We waited a long time to do our basement as it was a big project. I received multiple quotes and proposals prior to making a contractor decision - I also did a lot of research around reputation, customer feedback, reviews, etc. We chose Matrix - they were competitive from a pricing perspective, and overall I just felt best about them. We couldn't happier with the decision. I had folks come through mid-project to provide third-party feedback on their quality - top-shelf across the board. They didn't try to nickel-dime us - overall I felt the process was fair and they worked hard to take care of us. The project manager Mark was awesome - would recommend him to anyone. Ultimately, I plan on recommending Matrix to anyone looking for a contractor to finish their basement.

We hired Matrix to finish our basement and we’re very happy with the results. Our project manager Steve was communicated with us the entire time and stuck to the timeline. Our man cave/bar/kids play area is amazing!

Matris was very professional to work with. Materials provided were quality. They were punctual. Kept in contact with us to finish the job on time and on budget. It was a pleasure to work with such a professional staff from the sales rep, to the project designer, to the general contractor and scheduler. The only hold up we had through the process was when we were waiting for the approved permit. I would definitely use Matrix again for a basement remodel.

Overall process was extremely smooth and easy. It was overwhelming to try to do this project but with Matrix I didn't have to worry about anything. Going over how I wanted the basement to look and getting the window seat I always wanted and a secret office room was an easy, hassle free process and once the work started things happened fast. I'm extremely grateful to my project manager Anthony who is very easy to get in touch with and quickly replies to any questions I had along the way. No need to worry about permits or inspections or scheduling electricians or plumbers, Matrix takes care of it all. It would have been impossible for me to do the basement on my own and sell my condo all at the same time but having the project managed for you from start to finish made all the difference. Jesus was a phenomenal contractor that always went about and beyond every time he showed up for work. Super grateful for Ben who was on site for my final day of inspection! Everyone that Matrix hired was friendly, professional, on time and always left the basement clean once they were completed. I would highly recommend anyone looking to get their basement done to use Matrix!

The finishing the basement went very smoothly. All of the workers are very professional and polite. The company has an app that you can look at to see the progress of the work being done. It is nice to look at because you will know who is coming and what they will be working on. You also get pictures along the way of the progress. I highly recommend Matrix Basement Systems, Inc.

A few hiccups along the way but that's expected with any major reno work and issues were resolved appropriately. In the end the final product looks great. No major complaints except end of job clean up left a bit to be desired.

We’re very pleased with our finished basement project and would definitely recommend the Matrix Basement System! The coordination of the various tradesmen required was done by Matrix, making our basement remodel a seamless process. After our design consultation, the delivery of materials was scheduled. The demo process was done efficiently and cleaned up quickly, and the HVAC and electrical technicians were brought in. Our carpenters were punctual, had a great professional work ethic and were very detail oriented. The whole project was completed in approximately 9 weeks and our final punch list of minor issues and touch ups was completed quickly and efficiently.

Matrix was excellent to work with. Dealing with the entire team was hassle free and overall enjoyable. Everyone was professional, courteous, and it is clear that they are experts at what they do. Our basement was unfinished and we decided to work with Matrix because of the high quality products they use, the fact that we only had to work with Matrix for plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc., and the excellent craftsmanship that the Matrix team provides. Jamie, the foreman for our project, answered all questions and handled all of the scheduling with ease. The Matrix team finished our basement for us and their service was excellent. From the first consultation to the final inspection, they were professional and timely. We were given advance notice of every step to the process, and it was clear that they value us as a customer. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to finish or remodel your basement!

I’d love to give a complete review but I can’t get the company to finish the job. We signed the contract well over a month ago, and we were told the materials were in stock. We were told the job would be done within 2 weeks. We called and called and could not get them to commit to a date. We finally got a date of June 27 to remove old granite and install quartz. We had to call again to find out when our plumbing would be reinstalled as they did not reinstall the 2 faucets, instant hot, garbage disposals or soap pump. The next day, June 28, a very very nice gentleman came to finish. However, other than the subway tile, he had no idea about all the plumbing and electrical work that had to be done. He had to go to the store three times for materials, and was unable to complete hooking up our main sink. Part of the problem is the new sink we bought is deeper than the old one, but matrix never said anything about buying a sink the exact same size as the old one. This one looked the same, and we aren’t plumbers. My husband hooked up one sink and garbage disposal over the week end so we had a working sink. It is now 11:00July 1 and we have not heard from matrix. We just called again to see when someone was going to come back. We were told today. We will wait and see.

Kyle was very nice. very patient awnsered all are questions. made us laugh also on time neat and clean. Amazing job Kyle would highly recommend !!
