They came the next day and found the problem and fixed it. They were done inside an hour. It has been running great ever since.

Our refrigerator/freezer just stopped working. Jim and I were able to track down a replacement motor (hard, because the model had been discontinued) and he fixed it quickly for a very reasonable price. I would recommend Landwehr for any kind of appliance repair.

Called Landwehr because my 14 year old garbage disposal was making unusual sounds. Landwehrs repairman showed me what was wrong (blades had become loose over time) and discussed options for replacement/repair. I decided to have the unit replaced. Service was very professional, neat, and efficient. I could probably have purchased the unit cheaper, but no way could I have installed it without creating more problems - so I was very satisfied to pay for the expertise and having it done immediately and with no worries about leaks or malfunctions. I would definitely recommend Landwehrs for prompt, expert service.

There was an odour of burnt rubber in the room when I checked on the laundry. I called Landwehr that afternoon and got the answering machine. I called again the following morning and they send a technician out that afternoon. The gentleman discovered that the motor and the pump were not jammed. He was able to loosen the bearings with a little oil, and got the machine running again. He suggested that the pump be replaced along with the drive belts and the outlet hose. The machine (Maytag) is more than 20 years old and this is the first major rapair that has been performed on it. I was able to complete the load of laundry that had been started. They were able to obtain the parts and replace them the following day. The technician was very knowledgeable, and the source of a wealth of information on all types of appliances. He gave me some helpful tips on the use and care of the machines and tips on how to get better results with the laundry. He also gave me a few points to consider when I am in the market to replace these machines. Overall, I would say that I got a very good deal with this servce call.

The repair person was on time (at the end of the the three hour window they required). He had the part in hand and was able to replace. Took about one hour. Would have taken less if we had not had a general talk about new appliance reliability.

It was very good. He was very thorough.

The response to my call was immediate. I spoke with a very nice woman who said she would be able to service my dryer that very day. The serviceman came on time and explained what was involved in fixing the problem ( dryer only blew cool air) and replaced the igniter . I would call Landwehr again for any future problems.

The serviceman found a belt had slipped off its pulley. He reattached the belt and restarted the machine. The belt silpped off again. He inspected the pulley and found that it was broken. He also found that the lid switch that stops the machine from running when the lid is opened, was stuck. He did not have the parts with him. Since it is an old machine (25 years old), he had to order the parts. He told me he would let me know when the parts arrived. He required a check for $80.00 for the initial visit. That amount was applied to the final amount. I estimated it would be a week or more, but they called the next day. They were able to get the parts and wanted to send the technician out that day. The same technician came back, installed the parts, and tested the machine. The technician was very professional and courteous. He carries all his tools in a brief case, and they are neatly organized, like a surgeon's instruments. He did not make a mess. In fact, the only indication of his having been there was the machine running better than it had before the repair. He answered all my questions and gave me a few useful do's and don'ts to follow.

I called on 12/23 and was very pleased they were able to come out the next day. I was even more amazed that the repairman came out in the weather conditions on the 24th which was Christmas Eve. He was able to determine the problem pretty quickly but did not have the needed part. He warned me that, due to the holidays, he was short handed and had fewer technicians, less office personnel, etc. He tried to contact me the day after Christmas with an update, availability of the part, expected delivery date and his anticipated return to fix the problem. I did not hear back on Friday, so I tried all day Monday to reach him. I kept getting voice mail. Finally, in the late afternoon, I left a message to please call me. Tuesday morning he did return the call. The part was more expensive than he had originally quoted and he needed my approval to order it. I told him to go ahead and order it. He thought he would have it and said would be out on Friday (1/2/09) to repair the machine. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner but again blamed it on the holidays, short staff, etc. His 'responsiveness' score would have been lower if this had happened during a normal time of year. I believe his 'responsiveness' would have been better if it had happened during a normal time of year. Even thought UPS did not deliver the part when scheduled, he was able to find the part at another location, drive there, pick it up, and still be at my home to repair the machine on Friday, 1/2/09. He was pleasant to work with, explained what he was doing, and answered all my questions.

They were very polite over the phone and scheduled a meeting for the next day. The repair person arrived on time and was courteous. He took the ice dispsenser apart and found a rusted piston. He also determined that other parts were frozen because the ice dispenser door was not closing properly. He ordered the parts and instructed me to defrost certain parts of the ice maker. Even with the holidays, they were able to repair it in a week's time. It now works well. My only concern was that I missed the initial call in the morning and I called the number to find out what time he would arrive and only got a busy signal or no answer. He only called me back to say he was on the way over. Luckily, I was home for the day so I didn't need to have an exact time.

They found the problem right away when they were there. They were very prompt on both visits. The guy that was there working was very courteous. He found something wrong with the dishwasher when he was there too.

I was very pleased with the service. I didn't know what was causing my freezer to leak every several days. The technician determined the cause of the problem very quickly and took care of it. He also found out why my washing machine would not spin & rinse as needed. It would only agitate until I opened the top door. He needed to order a new timer for the washer. He came back a few days later and installed the new timer and ran a test to make sure it worked.

We called in the morning and they said he'd be at our house between 1:30 and 3:00pm. He arrived around 2:00pm that same day. Once he arrived, he diagnosed the problem within about 15 minutes and found out that it was an igniter sensor that was broken due to usage. He then provided an estimate of around $165.00 all inclusive. I OKed it and he ran out to his truck for the sensor, came back in and fixed it. It's now drying properly. He was clean, polite, accurate and quick.

It was fine. I called on Friday & they promised the repair person would be here on Saturday, between 9:00 am - 10:00 am. He showed up during this time, discovered the problem with clothes dryer, explained it to me, and fixed it.

Excellent. I've used Landwehr for the past 19 years and am always pleased with their responsiveness and Jim's (the tech) speed, efficiency and honesty. Also, they always seem to have the needed parts in the service van. Nice. The refrigerator is fixed. The range cannot be fixed. The gas pipe is rusted and cracked, the parts are no longer available, it isn't worth repairing. Jim was honest about that rather than run up a bill doing a short term fix. I appreciate that. Jim was punctual, prepared, got right down to work, did the job, got paid, and left. Time, less than one hour total. Nice. Never a problem with my German Shepherds being around, either.
