Description of Work: My automatic garage door was operating fine from within the garage but the remote stopped working. After trying a number of things to get it operational; and being unsuccessful, I checked Angies List and honed in on Ken's Automatic Garage Door Company. I left a message and within 10 minutes I received a call from Ken. I shared with him my problem and he gave me a suggestion to try on re-programming the remote. It worked. Clearly he is a true testimonial to superb customer service. He said he didn't want to be charging for a house call if it was something simple. Needless to say this is so rare in todays work world. Many others would have showed up, charged a housecall and said I needed a new door opener. Without a doubt Ken is someone I will use when I need our doors serviced. But more significantly I will tell all my friends/ neighbors about this experience. To fellow Angie List people, call Ken for any door needs; you will be exceptionally pleased.

 + -1 moreKen called me back within 1 hour of my voice mail message and said he could be out the next morning. He arrived early (after he called to make sure that was ok) and had my garage door working again in about an hour. He even oiled the garage door and now it doesn't creak as much.
Description of Work: Replaced the drive gear assembly complete with new bearings, gear and new sprocket.

 + -1 moreI have a 2 car garage with separate units and one side was not working properly. Called Ken on Friday morning and he was willing to come out the same day. Due to my schedule, Friday did not work so we arranged Sat morning. Ken fixed the initial problem of the cables but then discovered another problem with the drive gear. I appreciate Ken taking the time and making all necessary repairs since it was a very cold Saturday morning. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Re-set and aligned cables and springs and replaced drive gear assembly on one unit.

He figured out what the problem was, than told us we had a couple of options- replace the entire unit (much more expensive and he did not recommended this) or just replace the worn part. He was professional, personable, and efficient. Would HIGHLY recommend.
Description of Work: Determined that garage door wasn't working because of a worn gear. Left for 45 minutes to get replacement part, then returned and installed it. Door is now working perfectly.
