I had a problem with the keyboard in my laptop computer. I first called and quot;Best Buyand quot; and talked to someone in the and quot;Geek Squad.and quot; They said to bring in the laptop and then they'd have to send it out and in a week or two find out if it could be fixed and if so it would be ANOTHER week or two until they could get it back to me. Uh, this was crazy so I hung up and looked online for and quot;computer repairand quot; in Arlington Heights. Fortunately, I found Kand D and gave them a call. I told them my computer model number and Paul said he could order the keyboard for me and gave me the price. He called when it arrived and came to my house to pick up the laptop. The very next day he stopped by and returned it, just like new. I would use these guys again in an instant. Believe all the good reviews you see about them here.

Paul made an appointment to come out the day after I called K and D. He arrived right on schedule, and he listened to the issues from my computer-ignorant perspective. He was able to locate an update for our printer software, as the installation CD was out of date, and he got the printer back in working order quickly. He then saw to it that our new laptop and our desktop were working together. Finally, Paul set up a new external hard drive and showed me how to recover lost files. I will certainly use K and D in the future.

Dealing with Paul is an absolute pleasure. He is a WIZ-KID at anything computer-related. We found him in the Arlington Heights business directory. He is smart, honest, prompt, focused, and shows up when he says he will. Since our initial experience, we have hired him three additional times since we have multiple computers and offices in our home. He can do everything from setting up a home office, trouble-shoot hardware issues, to training you on new software. He actually bought and installed routers and memory boards without charging a handling fee for the items he purchased. He is young, but don't let his age fool you. He has been tinkering with computers since he was a tot...and it's evident in how well he performs his job and how mature he is. I had no prior knowledge of his business prior to my first call for help in my home office. I work out of my home and can't afford for anything to go wrong for more than a few hours. Paul showed up for an emergency and had me back up and running within an hour. Now that I know how great he is, I will not use anyone else. He is the next best thing to having your own IT group at home!
