JRS Concrete – Highly Recommend I’m a long-time homeowner, so I’ve had a lot of experience with contractors. Recently JRS Concrete (Joe Stehman) did a replacement of a section of our concrete driveway. I was very pleased with everything about the job. Joe was easy to work with, punctual, friendly, very capable and very knowledgeable of building codes. The finished product is excellent and it passed the final city inspection with no problem. And the price was very fair, particularly for the high quality of work. I recommend JRS concrete without reservation.

The owner off the company came to our house for the estimate. He explained to us what he would do and what our village required. He was very knowledgeable about the village requirements. His quote was mailed to us. It was typed and very professional looking. He asked for a 50% payment upfront. After we selected his company for the job we sent the requested upfront payment. We had to get the building permit, which was not very difficult. The owner kept us informed about when he planned to start our job. He started the job when expected, but rainy weather in August caused some delays. He kept us informed about the status of the job. Once the site was prepared, he called for the inspection, it passed the first time. The concrete pour was scheduled for September 2, 2014 and we were informed of the day and time. We were able to be there and watch the work. They did not care that we took photos of the work. We were informed on how long to stay off the concrete (no driving on it for 7 days) and on how to water it. The owner came and removed the forms, filled in dirt next to the driveway, and planted grass seed. He also sealed the concrete. We paid him the balance at that time. The new driveway looks great and we are very happy with the workmanship.
