The company came out and was very punctual and professional. The tuckpointing was done professionally at a fair price. I would recommend Joseph James Construction for quality work at a reasonable price.

After the initial phone contact, I could not get them to respond to my email and phone requests for a quote.

Planning, scheduling and communication were excellent. I was able to communicate via email and received prompt replies. The workers appeared right on schedule and begin work. The completed project looks beautiful. This was a great experience, and I will use Joseph James again for future tuck pointing work.

I would not hire this company again. We had them back twice to complete things they missed, including items that were written out on the original quote. The last time they were out, instead of fixing the mortar around the bricks on our fireplace, they cut through the bricks creating a vertical line of new mortar. This was completely an eyesore and in my mind, very poor workmanship! They wanted extra money to fix this! I hired another company to fix this inferior work. Overall, I would never recommend.

Scheduling an estimate was quick and easy. Our work was a small job so they fit it into their workload when they had an opening and two workers spent most of a day inspecting and repairing masonry and tuckpointing on our house and garage. Their work was thorough and professional and completed as promised. They cleaned up after themselves and the work looks great.

The work crew was neat and the mason did a very good job. It took a while to get the job scheduled because masons are in high demand in this area. I had asked them to clean the stones of our fireplace inside, too, which they didn't do because the chimney rebuilding crew didn't ever do that task and wasn't sure what to use. I ended up cleaning the stones myself and renegotiated the contract price, and this was agreed to.

They did an excellent job. It took about 2.5 days. The wall was right in front of a koi pond and the crew did an excellent job to avoid disturbing the fish at all. They cleaned up exceptionally at the end of each day. My husband, who is a stickler about all things, even commented about how nicely they left the job at the end of the day.

Decided to go with Joseph James Construction as I felt their pricing was very competitive, they had good review on Angie's list, and came off the most competent during the bidding process. I am very pleased with my decision, as their work was done with high quality, and they were very punctual and professional. They also did a good job of cleaning up the job site when they were done. Overall I am very happy.

It turned out fine. They were quick, courteous and did good work. I chose them over other companies because of their price and reviews.

The work was done pretty well but it was not exactly when it was supposed to be. Some of the work has not been completed yet. Most of it went pretty well and the employees were very hard working. It was some pretty hard work but they did a god job but it was well done.

The tuckpointing and lintel work was done very well. They worked with me to get a color match that I am happy with. They communicated throughout the project to ensure I was happy with the way the work was being done. They compensated me fairly for a few plants that got damaged in the process of doing the tuckpointing work. I would definitely use this provider again.

I called this company on July 3rd 2014 to get a quote on concrete replacement. I had to leave a voice message to call me. They called me back on July 10th and I was not at home at the time. I returned the call one hour later and again only got an answering machine so I left a message to please call me back. They never have. In looking at other reviews on this provider I see this is an on going problem of theirs.

We highly recommend Joseph James to anyone who is looking to perform tuck-pointing or repair to their home!!!!! When you call them they do respond back in a timely manner (email or phone) We were fortunate to deal with Arthur one of their project managers and he was professional, knowledgeable and punctual. Our First project was properly aligning limestone bricks on top of our home and deck with proper flashing and ropes underneath. Then we tuck-pointed one wall and our deck in addition to spot tuck-pointing on another wall of our home. Finally we decided to seal some of the upper bricks of our home . More recently, they continued to spot tuck point one wall and do more sealing of our bricks (since they are very porous). We will continue to use them for future services, because they take pride in their work and it shows. We are pleased with all of our projects and they beat everyone's price, I know because I called at least 10 other masonry companies! When you are frustrated with your leaks or want to beautify your home, we highly recommend that you are reach out to them.

It went very well and quickly. We were in a hurry to complete this little job ahead of replacing windows and they were able to meet our time line and more importantly the finished result looks fantastic!

They gave me an estimate of the job and returned in three weeks to get started as promised. Even though they found some problems with the foundation under the wall and had to do some work not originally planned they did not even hint or complain that the estimate should be raised. The workmanship was excellent. I had similar work performed by another firm on the wall about three years ago, obviously it was not done properly. I was so pleased with James Joseph's work that when my son told me that he had a problem with his brick chimney I told him to contact james joseph and he did. I trust that he will be as happy as I am with the job they do.

Joseph James is pretty tough to get a hold of at times, and it took them a long time to get us an estimate, but when they commited to flashing the limestone caps on the roof of our building and sealing our roof they did an excellent job. We have had no problems with the work they did. And they were about $2,000 less expensive than other estimates for the same work.

Very courteous and prompt with quote for job, but estimate for job was way too high - more than twice what we ended up paying for a quality job. After getting estimates, we chose a different highly-rated Angie's List contractor to do the work.

They did excelled work. Everything was cleaned up well, very little debris left. They were always here on time and communicated well with me about all aspects of the project. Our chimney cap came off during some high winds over the winter and they just came back (March 2014) and replaced the chimney cap at no cost. I would definitely use Joseph James again in the future.

We talked about the house and what work was needed. We discussed a time and date and I said I would call back to confirm. Called and left 3 messages the next day. No response. 2nd day, the day of the appointment and 1 hour before the time we where to meet, Arthur called me and tells me he does not work on days that it is raining. I asked why he could not do an estimate in the rain and he said becuase it was too dangerous on the roof. I explained there was no roof work, only tuck pointing on the FIRST floor. He said no. Really poor service.

Ron and his team were very professional, responsive and easy to work with. The team removed the rotting posts and replaced them with new columns made from composite material, which they built by hand. I originally wasn't sold on going with composite, but once Ron showed me a sample of the material, that changed my mind. They also replaced the wooden ceiling in the carport area with vinyl material which gives it a beadboard appearance - very nice. And they replaced the ugly old light fixture. I was very impressed with the team's professionalism and the great care they took to do an outstanding job, and appreciated that they were able to fit in this job before the weather turned too cold. Everything was cleaned up afterwards - would never have known they were there, that's how clean it was. Even my father, who has a keen eye for construction work, was very impressed - and that says alot! While their prices are a bit high, based on other estimates, it was well worth the cost to have their high level of quallity and professionalism. They made it a no-hassle experience for me.
