Fresh Tech Maid

I moved to the suburbs from downtown Chicago after living in the City for 15 years. I had the same housekeeper in the City for over 10 years, but she was unwilling to travel to the suburbs. I was very concerned about finding a new housekeeper. I saw Fresh Tech's website on the internet and was impressed with the description of the company and their philosophy. I contacted Fresh Tech, met with their owner in person and was quite impressed again with the overall philosophy of the organization. I retained their services to begin early January 2011. I was fortunate to have Fresh Tech assign Michelle to my home. Michelle has been cleaning my home weekly since early this year. She's fabulous! My home is immaculate each Friday. Michelle is always punctual and always leaves me notes of anything that she may need to bring to my attention. I highly recommend this company - their performance has been outstanding.

Very well. Staff on site and phone was friendly and hardworking. I found it annoying and amusing that I had to fill out all this paperwork and legal disclaimers to use cleaning services but I guess its necessary now. I am a lawyer so it wasn't too intimidating but I'd have the owner rethink this and streamline the paperwork. I thought the price was excellent but had a BIG DEAL quote. I'd use the service again depending on the quote using the actual fees.

Technicians provided a very detailed cleaning of every part of the home prior to moving in just after the completion of remodeling and construction throughout.

The owner came out on a Saturday and went over their company philosophy, training, hiring etc. I signed up after this meeting and they came out within a few weeks. The original cleaning was quite bit over the estimate but my house was sparkling when they left and they did ask my permission to continue. The bi-monthly cleaning is also going well. I have one person who does it each time and she does not mind putting up with a clingy dog and bothersome cats. One time she even swept away the leaves from the back door because the dogs were dragging them into the house. Sue, the person in the office, is always a pleasure to talk to and goes the extra mile to make sure I am satisfied with the cleaning and schedule. After the first regular cleaning I decided it was not convenient for the cleaning to be performed on a Monday. Instead of being bothered by fickle clients, she called the next day to let me know it was rescheduled and asking me if the new day was better for me. They are very concerned with feedback and always looking for ways to improve.

It went perfectly. The Techs both arrived right when they said they would and finished on time, too. They were friendly, knowledgeable, hard working and trustworthy.

They were very satisfactory. I was pleased with the cleaning service they provided for me. They were a little pricey, but the end result was good.

Really well. They have been cleaning my condo now for several years and after the 2nd time I just relaxed and let them do their job. Everything was clean, stuff on counter tops arranged to lend to the clean and organized look I like. Compared to the prior three cleaning services I had no one has cleaned my home longer or done a better job.

I went with this service because of the Angie's List Big Deal. I spoke with the owner and she went through the services they provide and the associated costs. Ultimately, she was suggesting a deep clean of my home at approximately $400. Since I decided to only use the Big Deal amount, I agreed to the kitchen and 2 1/2 baths. I had asked that the kitchen then the full baths upstairs be completed 1st and then if there was enough time to complete the 1/2 bath on the first floor. The cleaning lady spent 1 1/2 hours in my kitchen and quite frankly, I don't know what she did any differently that what I would have done in 1/2 that amount of time. The wood blinds were not wiped down, the cabinets were not scrubbed clean - so I don't know where so much time was spent. Then instead of working on the full baths, she did the 1/2 bath first. She then spent the last 2 hours in the full baths. she did mention that she did a lot of scrubbing in the bath area corners, but then she did everything else half-a**. I had to rescrub the inside of the toilets and the outside toilet area near the floor wasn't even touched. I would not use this service again - especially for the amount of money they charge. I understand that they are a green product company, but if that means the ladies need to spend that much more time scrubbing then its not worth the time. I will go back to doing it myself!

Fresh Tech Maid Services is a 'top shelf' company! Susan W. was my first contact via phone, and her professionalism and compassion was unbelievable!. She made me feel like my condo was the most important condo for her company to service! A meeting was set up with a field representative, Wells, to describe Fresh Tech's services and prices. He spent one hour with me and thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns leaving me completely satisfied in using their company for my housekeeping needs. Lacey was assigned to my housekeeping needs. She was punctual, friendly, professional, respectful, THOROUGH and, most of all, CARED about my condo. My condo and I are very fortunate and happy to have Lacey continue to complete my future housekeeping needs! Thank you Fresh Tech Maid Services for making my life less stressful and cleaner! -- UPDATE -- 6/5/2013 I continue to use FreshTech's services today and remain highly satisfied with this company. Though I have had a few different cleaners since my first appointment, each has been friendly and professional. I have yet to be disappointed with a cleaning from this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to family or friends.

They do a good job, but it is much more expensive than other companies.

They are very thorough and they come out and do a full evaluation of every little thing that I could imagine. They are very much into getting as much feedback as possible. They are a pretty good company. They are very punctual.

I have now used Fresh Tech twice. Wells (the owner) came out and inspected my home and gave me a quote. He was very professional While I feel the price is a bit more than other companies, I like the "green clean" and our technician has been completely on time and done a terrific job so far. I will continue to use them.

I have been using the company for over two years and would recommend it to anyone. The technicians are professional, efficient and thorough. They arrive on time and clean wonderfully. After they are done the house is always sparkling clean. The "green" cleaning supplies are the "icing on the cake".

Contacted Fresh Tech. Wells, the owner, came to the house. He asked questions about what I wanted done, what were the things that were most important to me. We walked from room to room to discuss what needed to be done in each room and to identify specific things I wanted done. Wells provided an estimate for the cleaning. He warned me several times that it can take several cleanings to rid the house of construction dust. I was contacted by scheduling to set up an appointment for cleaning. It took a couple of weeks since I wanted a day when I would be around to answer questions and review the work. On the scheduled day, four people came during the course of the day. I discussed my expectations with them. They did a wonderful job and were incredibly thorough. All of my key expectations were met. They gave me the opportunity to review their work to make sure that it met my expectations. I only had one or two areas where I requested that they redo them. They went back and redid the areas I pointed out. Every person who came was very professional. They were attentive to details. I was very impressed with the crew and was very pleased with the completed job.

It went very well. Stacey came on time (I moved the date & hence, got only one person - was expecting two people! - took some time!) & was very professional in her approach. She did her job and one thing I noticed about her was that she was meticulous in wiping dust of all nooks & corners (previous cleaning services were not as thorough!). In the end, she also pointed the things that would not come off. Suggestion for improvement - some of the chemicals they use were not able to remove certain problem areas - may be use a stronger chemical (the person in the office suggested later during my feedback call that I could have given chemicals from our home!).

I went to the website and requested an estimate. Michelle e-mailed me back within 24 hours. When I called and spoke with MIchelle, she gave me a complete rundown of the services provided and the costs associated with each. We secheduled an appointment to accomodate our calendar. Tara arrived right on time. I walked her through the house and she asked if we had any specific requests. Tara worked diligently for the next 6-1/2 hours, stopping only to have me check her work to make sure it was to my satisfaction. She was friendly and easy to work with and she did an awesome job!

We're new to Fresh Tech and have had 2 cleanings so far, but we are very pleased. Everyone with whom we have had contact has been friendly, polite and ON TIME. Plus, the cleaning crew supplies their own tools and supplies. What a relief -- no more complaints about out vacuum, no more trips to the store to fetch supplies at the last minute. We have hardwood floors and they look like new when the techs leave. Bathrooms and kitchen are always well done and everything smells clean, not chemically. The price is a little more than we used to pay for another service but the hassle is much less and the customer service is top notch.

I was very pleased with Fresh Tech. The workers were on-time, professional and did a great cleaning job. My floors and all appliances were gleaming when they finished. I highly recommend Fresh Tech especially if non-toxic products are important to you. I have a cat and do not want chemicals in my home (for him or me).

It was OK. I had a tremendous amount of dust due to new drywall, sanding and painting every wall and ceiling in the place. I also had a new hardwood floor put in on one floor, 2 new ceramic tile floors laid in different areas and 1 new room of carpeting. The two women worked really hard for the 3 contracted hours and then asked for another hour to do the basement. That bothered me since I had clearly communicated exactly how much space I had and how much dust there was. They marred my brand new floor in several places, left a few dusty footprints untouched and left some carpet debris. They were still cheaper than the one estimate I got. The owner of the company came out to look at the damage and 1) that inconvenienced me and 2) he didn't really offer to fix anything, just explained things away. So that wasn't a plus. So for a cheaper heavy-duty cleaning, it was OK.

I was moving into one house and moving out of another. The price I paid was for cleaning each house. I thought they did a great job. I just didn't have the money to keep hiring them. They did really well in both the houses. The crew consisted of three people. Everything was great.

From the beginning everything was done very professionally. The owner of the company comes out and goes through the residence and asks what you like and what you expect from the service. It was very important for him to know what areas are most important to you. From the size of the residence and the information he receives from the customer, he designs a customized routine depending on the frequency of how often you need the service and then lets you know the different price options. Payment methods are discussed and the customer is given different payment options. He explains about the cleaning products and about the philosophy of the company. After each cleaning the staff leaves a rating card to be filled out and make comments. The cards can be mailed in or you can leave them until the next time the staff comes to clean. This way they know what they are doing correctly and what to do better in areas that the customer feels needs more attention. There may be other companies out there that will do the job for less but the confidence and assurance of getting a quality and reliable service means a great deal to us. I am very impressed with the Fresh Tech company. Wells Ye, the owner, is passionate and committed to his new company. Honestly, my house hasn't been this clean in years. I have a large house, 3 kids and a dog. It is hard to keep it clean, but Fresh Tech really helps me keep up! Fresh Tech assigned one person to my house, so I'm getting to know her, and she is getting to know my house and needs quite well. We split my job into two phases. The first day is spent cleaning the main floor (4 hours), and the second day is spent cleaning the bedroom floor (another 4 hours). My technician is quick yet thorough. She strips my beds and makes them with clean sheets. I love that she arranges my daughters' beds with their favorite pillows and stuffed animals. It shows care, and attention to detail. I highly recommend Fresh Tech. The company is not part of a large chain. It is locally owned and operated very well.

The staff arrived on time and cleaned our home. Service was excellent and very professional.

I contracted Fresh Tech Maid to clean my house every 2 weeks where 2 women cleaned my home for 2 hours (i.e 4 hours of cleaning time). I was charged $128 per cleaning. They cleaned my home for about 1 year. At first the cleaning crews did an excellent job, but as the weeks went on, they became lazy with their tasks and missing big items. Fresh Tech Maids has a comment card that you can fill out each time and send in so the items can be addressed at the next cleaning. I usually had to follow up after submitting my comment card because the management did not follow through with their end of communicating the requests to the team. All items that were missed were recognized by the owner, Wells, that they should be done as part of a regular cleaning but were continually not performed. Such items that were consistently missed were as follows: Bathroom floors -- around the edges and where the floor meets the tub were not clean. Also, if I wiped my hand around/behind the toilets, tons of dust came up. Crumbs were consistently left behind in the corner of all floors. Baseboards were not dusted. The cleaning crew would not wipe down light switches that had my kids' dirty finger prints on them. The granite flooring in front of my fire place was never dusted/vacuumed or cleaned. The banister and molding along the stairs would never be dusted. Shelves would be left undusted. Underneath sofa cushions would not be vacuumed. Dusting furniture would be done sparingly, leaving lots of spots that needed follow up. All of these items were denoted on a list to the crew members to double check they were completed. The crew would check them off, but they actually never would get performed. After consistently communicating these issues with the owner, Wells, he would make comments about how his team couldn't meet my unrealistic expectations. I asked him to come out and look at my home and if he actually saw what was missed and could then tell me then my expectations were too high, I would agree that I am just too picky of a person. He made it out at the first complaint and agreed that things were done poorly. Other than the first complaint, Wells never could make it back out to my house. Instead he would just comment that he couldn't believe the crew would do such a terrible job because they were his "top crew" and only received glowing remarks (remember I used several of his "top crews"). On several occasions he would cancel or leave me a message with very little lead time saying he needed to change the meeting time. I felt this was very disrespectful seeing as I had arranged my schedule numerous times to match his. He never did come to my house to inspect the girls work after that first go around. I requested new cleaning teams twice. This usually ended up w/ the same result - great cleaning at first, but became lazy with details after the crew cleaned for several weeks. At one point he told me that the crew could not clean my house in time allotted so Wells decided they needed to bump up my time from 1hr 45 min to 2hrs. I couldn't believe that more time was needed since my house is not messy, I do not have a lot of knicknacks to clean, etc but agreed if it meant that my house would be cleaned. The extra time did not improve the cleaning but instead just drained my pocket of more money. I also caught the cleaning crew leaving 15 min early (i.e. - 2 girls therefore 30 min of cleaning time), even though things were not cleaned properly and I had paid for the full 2 hours. The owner, Wells, is very hands on and nice when things are going smoothly. But, if you have any sort of disagreement with him, he becomes very difficult. He talks over you (you can't even complete a sentence), won't listen to your concerns (even though he says he is ) and just is an overall bad communicator. One time I requested a new team. Almost 2 weeks later I called back to find out if I was getting a new crew because I had heard nothing from the company as to time /date/etc and my bi-weekly cleaning schedule was coming due. He proceeded to tell me they girls would be there w/i 30 min (no notice for me to get my house tidied up before they came). After running around trying to make sure the kids toys were picked up, Wells calls me back and tells me he was looking at the schedule wrong and that the girls would actually be there the following day. Someone should have called me the day they assigned a new time/day/crew to me, but instead I had to call and ask. Communication is definitely not his strong suit. I have had several other cleaning services clean my home in less time, and at a less hourly rate with no complaints. Therefore I do not feel that my expectations are too high. I'm not sure I understand how someone would not expect their bathroom floors to get wiped down each and every time. I wanted to switch to Fresh Tech Maid, even though they exceeded my previous cleaning teams rate by $40/ cleaning, because I liked the idea of green cleaning. At this point I would be better off going back to my old cleaning team and just buying the green products myself for them to use. Fresh Tech Maids is not worth the price or the hassle.
