Extremely well!
Description of Work: We can't say enough about Envy Home Services! Top notch company from start to finish. Adam Kingen responded quickly to my request for a quote, scheduled an appointment and walked us through the process answered all of our questions and showed us all the different options. Our insulated 3 Season/Sunroom they built exceeded our expectations! The crew did an exceptional job of building this room from the trenched foundation to the finished product and always had the job site clean at the end of the day. Neighbors have stopped to look and one is in the process of having his built by Envy. Even our village building inspector was extremely impressed with the workmanship and detail in building our addition, he said they do everything the right way!

We are absolutely thrilled with our whole experience with Envy, from start to finish. We had gotten several quotes and theirs was very reasonable. Jed was very helpful with planning the bathroom remodel, and checked on the progress of the project. Sunny did excellent work, and it was completed on time. He was very respectful of our time and . We love our new bathroom and will be hiring them to do our next big project - the master bathroom/closet remodel. Can't say enough good things about Envy! Highly Recommended!!

I have suggestions for those who decide to do this. Basically, we love the new porch, however, if I were to do it again, here is what I would do differently: Do not be pressured by special offers. I never got my Angie's discount but I got discounts supposedly for 1) not financing, and 2) signing in the spring. The "sign in the spring" discount I would not fall for again because I think it is the same discount I would have received for going through Angie's list and the job wasn't started until after July 4 and was not completed until late August. I fell for the "sign now" pitch which means I did not get a second quote. I would feel a lot better had not let myself be rushed. The workers were good and worked under tough conditions. I have a small yard and they did all the digging of the foundation by hand and it was HOT. I really don't have any complaints about the workers. I wasn't happy with how the stairs were looking, I complained, the owner came out and assured me it would be fixed and it was. The owner (can't remember his name) was easy to deal with. He even did a few extra little things to make sure I was satisfied. I should have done more research about three season rooms. This room came with single pane windows and the room is too hot in the afternoons without air conditioning and a fan. It is too cold to use past Thanksgiving, but I expected this. I should have asked for double paned gas filled windows. The salesman will assure you that he will be with you all the way but he means by phone. Get a price on any changes, no matter how small, you make after signing the contract. Get specifics on the dimensions of the interior of the finished room. My room is 5 inches shorter than I was expecting. The electrical was sub-contracted but the electricians were easy to deal with. If you ask a lot of questions and get it all in writing and get a second estimate, you will be fine with this company. The salesman over sells the customer service though. It's good but not beyond the norm--from my experience. And I'm not sure they are the cheapest either if that is a consideration.

I posted this before 12/16/2014 Our existing porch was in bad shape, cracked floor and plastic torn"windows" . The whole process was an extremely educational process that I had not expected. I investigated many different options including concrete raising. The village of Homewood building inspectors were very helpful. Started research on contractors in May 2014. Interviewed 8 contractors (some from Angie's list) and others highly recommended by friends. Accepted one bid and made a down payment. They did not communicate with me and after a month with no update, I discovered the salesman was the problem. Long story short- received refund. I finally chose Envy, mainly due to the communications of Adam Kingen. In total, I had worked with almost 20 different contractors from multiple firms. Adam, was the ONLY person that communicated and delivered what and when he promised. If Adam said he or someone would call or visit, he was always on time and the once he was late he called and informed me. Other contractors after the first visit promised and never delivered. The entire activity was broken in phases. 1. Demolition. 2014/11/03 existing walls (Windows were not real, just plastic stapled (and shredded) This was performed by the concrete team in only a few hours 2. Concrete. 2014/11/03 Trench around the existing floor to meet village codes (72"deep) Pouring of concrete into trench and over pour of existing concrete Finishing of the floor. This was a fascinating activity to watch (and record). The concrete was sub contracted to Bell Concrete. Discovered that Bell does most of the concrete work in the Chicago land area. This team was good and worked hard all day and late into the night. The only issue was the delay in the building inspector approving the form work and trench, required before pouring. This is what caused the team to work late. 3. New construction (2014/11/17-2014/11/18) The entire addition included only two walls(Windows) and was accomplished in 2 days after waiting for the concrete to harden. This phase took two days but would have been finished in one day, if more daylight. There is not much to say about the construction except the team was great and the results were impressive. 4. Personal observations Adam informed me they were not the cheapest, but were the best. I must agree. Communication was key to making the customer (me) informed and happy. After the trench was dug, I discovered that I really did not need to have that much concrete work done. There was no way to know this. I could have saved thousands by using a different technique. Even the village inspector hinted that I could save money with no concrete work. Looking at the results, I am happy that we did what we did. The concrete work might have been expensive but the results are worth the cost. There is still work to be done on the inside of the room. That is work for next summer. The ONLY issue is the sliding door that opens to the outside. We love the door, but the track on the bottom prevents easy movement of anything over the track Looking for something temporary that can protect the track while I wheel the bar-b-que in or out of the room. Happy to say, use a few pieces of wood, wheeled the grills into the room and grilled our turkey for Thanksgiving. Opened a couple of the windows (great screening) so the smoke was vented. The whole objective of the room was to allow me to grill all year. Bottom line: Mission accomplished. Thank you Adam and Envy!

We contacted Envy Home Services about putting a sunroom on our house. We decided to sign the contract after their initial presentation and reading other good reviews regarding their services. The sunroom came out very well and we enjoy using it everyday. We are very happy with the room and feel it's added to our lives.

everything went fine but the cost was prohibitive with our income, value of our home, The representative gave us suggestions on what to do to our existing room. Since my wife and I are retired, we dicided to make do with what we have instead of building a new room. If the cost of a new room was within our income/budget, we probably would have done something with this company.

As in all construction jobs there are always communication or misunderstandings. These guys took all of this in stride and did their very best to understand and over come these things. We seemed to have to wait forever for the city to approve our permits. During the construction there was a rain storm overnight, the tarp they put on the roof to cover any spot that was not sealed was blown up and a large amount of water did get in. I cannot blame them for this as they did do their best to cover everything for the night. They came right away when I told them there was water damage, and took care of replacing everything that had to be replaced. The room went up without any problem except for having to wait for the custom glass, even they hinted that it took some time. The largest concern was the brick patio. Now it looks great, but during the construction it seemed to take a long time. The brick company was a sub-contractor for this company, and the job was "too small" for most other brick companies even though these guys would use them in the future and would most likely keep any brick sub-contractor busy even during the traditional slow season. The sub-contractor severely underestimated the amount of time and labor to do such a "small and easy" job. Thr contractor had to do extra work to make up for the sub-contractors mistakes. Over all if I had to do it again I would use these guys and I would do more research prior to starting and maybe I would push the city to get things done just a little faster.
Description of Work: Removed existing deck and trees that were next to the existing deck. Installed a very nice four season room, with a brick patio next to the room.

Adam was very courteous and professional. He understood our goals and very clearly described his product in relation to our goals. Unfortunately, we quickly determined that we would not be able to accomplish what we wanted with a sunroom due to size limitations, so we have decided not to build a sunroom addition at this time.
Description of Work: Adam came to our house to give us an estimate for a sunroom addition. He brought pictures and brochures to show us the different styles available. His product is a vinyl kit, rather than stick built, and he was able to give us an instant quote based on our desired features.

After going to several home shows, getting various quotes and proposals, we decided to go ahead with ENVY home services after meeting with their sales rep and the company owner.... Adam Kingen and Wayne Williams. We liked the product, which is maintenance free (unlike our screened porch which was wood...) and they were willing to reuse our roof in the project. Everything went along as planned, and the construction workers and electrician were excellent. We now have sliding windows all around, transoms above and below, a heating & a/c unit for comfort year-round, and incredible views of nature through four seasons of color and wildlife. We enjoy sitting out there watching the swans. We love to entertain and have celebrated holidays, birthdays and hosted family gatherings in our comfortable beautiful sunroom. We have a full dining table with a separate sectional seating area so having an extra room by the kitchen has been a dream! Relaxing and reading or having wine and cheese with the neighbors has been a wonderful experience. After living with the sunroom for a year, we decided to have ENVY come back to install there custom motorized window solar screens on the exterior and they installed beautifully! We highly recommend this company, their sunroom product and services.
Description of Work: We were looking to convert our screened in porch to a sunroom since the back of our home faces a lovely pond and golf course with views year round. We reviewed products on the market, had quotes and plans drawn up, and made our decision to hire ENVY. The project began in September 2011 and completed in the timeframe that was quoted, by the end of October. They set new pilings for support, removed the walls and decking, added floor insulation and new flooring (you can choose between a pergo type of flooring, which we used, or ceramic tiles), replaced the ceiling bead board with new, and stained it. The sliding window units installed beautifully, and are easy to use and clean. Views through the windows and transoms create full views to the outdoors all the way around.

Last year 2012 I looked up companies that built 3 season?s rooms. We had just purchased a small 2 bedroom ranch and needed just a little more space for family gatherings. I had found several companies on the internet but also checked Angie?s list. I received about 3 or 4 calls from different companies but the one that I was most impressed with was Envy Home Services. The person that called me was not a call center rep but the Co-founder, Wayne. He sent someone out to my home that week to give me an on-site estimate, along with sample?s of windows and video?s of material?s used for sunrooms. Jed was very professional and within a few days I decided to have Envy build our 3 season?s room. I met with Wayne, who did all the measurements so that they could draw up the plans and get things going. We worked with Adam, who kept us up-to-date on everything, when the contractor?s would be there, when the inspections would take place. Both Wayne and Adam made several visits during the construction to make sure everything was going well. Not only was I very happy with Envy but the contractor?s that built the room were professional and always made sure that everything was cleaned up by the end of the work day. They spent many hours building a very beautiful room to extend our home. I have to say that their website really shows you many finished additions, so it gives you just that added visual of what you could have on your home to enjoy the warm summer nights and even enjoy the room during the winter month?s, when the sun in out the room is bright and warm. I would recommend Envy to any of my friend?s that are looking to add some additional space to their homes. The room was finished just in time for Christmas. Jed stopped over during the weekend, to see the how everything turned out and take some pictures.

Everything considered the project went very well except for the time duration from start to finish because of the very stringent Village Codes and inspections. Envy Home had to make major revisions to the electrical work they had originally expected to do as well as change the foundation plan from using the existing concrete slab and sinking the footings to putting in 42 inch deep footings with a raised insulated deck. True to their commitment, they stayed with their original contract price and provided all the services required of them within budget.
Description of Work: Envy Home Services constructed a 16' x 20" All Seasons room where an old concrete patio slab had been for years. In order to do so they were required by Village Code to move our aerial electric and cable wires underground. Basically they had to rewire our home complete with smoke/carbon monoxide alarms to satisfy the village building department and its inspectors. Taking all this in stride, they accomplished the task and went on to build a great sunroom. All the workmen were professional, meticulously detailed and far exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend them for any home project needs.
