Art The Fix-It Guy

No work arranged because of not accepting credit cards, but communication was good. Except for lack of accepting credit cards I would use in future.

Art had creative and functional solution for each of our issues. He did an excellent job, was always on time, and was pleasant to have in the house. I'll definitely recommend him!

Art came to our house the same day we called him for an estimate. His suggestions to improve our damaged closet were reasonable and exactly what we were looking for. He came a few days later with all of the materials needed for the job which saved us a trip to the hardware store. We were very satisfied with the results. We plan on using Art for all future handyman projects.

I called Art because I had dropped the long handled lint brush I was using to clean out the dryer lint into the trap and could not retrieve it. I did not want to run the dryer until this item was removed. Art came out at a time that was convenient for me and was courteous and professional. He had to take off the back of the dryer to retrieve the brush and then carefully vacuumed out all the lint and did a thorough cleaning. I am really happy with the job. I was embarrassed by the stupid situation I found myself in but it was handled professionally and promptly. I will happily call Art again for future jobs.

We had an emergency and he came out immediately. We called and told him we had an emergency, he was out within 45 minutes. He is a really good guy, very honest. He is very courteous. We have always been very happy with him. We would very highly recommend him to others! He has done a lot of work for us, if it is something that he can't do he tells us! All of the work he has done for us has been really good!

We have always had a great experience with Art. He provides a great quality of service and charges a very fair rate for what he does for us. We shopped around before picking Art and have used him 7-10 times so far and have been very pleased. He calls back right away, comes when he says he will be there and gets the job done. He even remembers our son's name and feels like a handy family member when he comes over. I'm a tough critic and Art impresses me enough to actually write this review (I rarely post on Angie's List). Look no further and pick Art.

He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He is very through and explains everything. I've been using Art for years and he has always done a great job.

Art did a nice job and when the work was something he was uncomfortable doing, he let us know that maybe we needed to consult an electrician.

It went great. Art has all of the tools in his car and seems to have great handyman knowledge to do many various things. Yes, his hourly rate seemed expensive at first, but he keeps it in perspective to what he is able to get done. He was here for almost 3 hours, and only charged an hour and a half because of some things that slowed him down that he said was his fault. He seems like an honest good guy, which is hard to find. The door works and looks great. He said he's coming back tomorrow to do some touch-ups to the door for no cost. I will definitely be hiring him again for future house projects (which we have plenty of...).

Art returned my call promptly. I had a whole list of little things with which I needed help, so I asked him for his hourly rate. He advised it was $70 / hour, which is crazy for handyman services. When I acted shocked, he got defensive and told me he had many years of experience. NO ONE should pay more than $50 / hour, tops. I have since found 2 handymen (who also have years of experience, and are as picky as me!) for $35 / hour.

Art was great. My only complaint is that he didn't push the stove back into the spot properly, but that's a minor complaint. I thought his prices were fair, and appreciated his responsiveness.

If I could give Art A+'s for all categories I would. He confirmed the appointment, the night before, was very punctual, and clean. His work was very thorough and I would definitely use him again.

Removed the old unit, installed the new one. Was quick and thorough. He cleaned up after himself as well. I would use him again for small to medium jobs as needed.

I would definitely hire him in the future.

I am impressed with my experience with this company. There were several irregular issues with the house that required additional work and knowledge to install my new door. The contractor was very professional and knowledgeable about getting this done. He put in extra effort to make sure it was done right.

We hired Art to build a new window box to replace one that was falling apart. He came to the house, took the measurements, and returned to his shop to make the window box. When he finished he returned and installed the box with no issues. While he was at our house, he noticed that the front door was not closing properly and fixed it on the spot. Art is great for all of those projects you wish you had time to get to but life gets in the way. We will certainly call again when we have another job.

I was very happy with his work. There was nothing bad about my experience with him. He was there when he said he would be. He was very prompt and very courteous. He was very neat and very polite. My husband was there most of the time. If he ran into any problems, he consulted with my husband and decided the best way to complete the project. My husband handled the finances. His quality of work was very good. He came prepared and had everything in his car that he needed; he didn’t have to go back for something.

Art called the night before and found out what items he needed to bring. He came perpared with severa options for me to consider> he was very pleasant and worked efficiently. Everything went smoothly and the job was well done.

Art did exactly what he said within schedule and budget.

Art gave me specific information on the type of door knobs I needed, once I got them I called and he was at my house within 24 hours. My house is old and of coarse with any projects their were issues and more work involved. Art was professional, and very thorough. I will be using him in the future for all my handy man projects, he is defintely someone you can trust and depend on.

We have had Art twice. Both times he did a stellar job. He cleans up after himself. He is friendly, prompt, courteous and certainly efficient. Whenever we need anything in future we will consider Art first

Went very well. He came on a Sat. afternoon. Very accommodating. He was able to come earlier than the appt, as I got home from an appt earlier than expected. He looked at everything and gave me an estimated time it would take to fix things. He had all the parts and off to work he went. He even fixed a couple of things he saw needed to be fixed like my front door latch and toliet paper holder which came lose. Great job! Would call him again.

Art is wonderful to work with. He is a professional and never cuts corners to fix problems around the house. He has done so much work over the years that I am runnng out of problems for him to fix. Would heartily recommend him to anyone seeking a trusted handyman.
