We were actually referred to Andy through another new home builder that we were originally going to use for our home renovations. In the end, both my wife and I were very pleased that we ended up going with a renovator instead of a new home GC, as home renovation projects take on a much different life than ground up construction. Andy was very professional and timely in all aspects of his work. We obtained 3 bids in total for our project. While he did not come in the cheapest, he was also not the most expensive. In addition, throughout the entire project, there were various things that we noticed we’d wanted to add to the list and in most instances Andy was very good about just throwing these in for no cost. Our initial walkthrough during the bidding process was a very pleasant one, Andy clearly has a lot of experience in home renovations. There are quite a few suggestions that he provided about placing cabinets, fireplace design for wall mounted TV’s, etc. He approached each of these items from the point of resale value for the home. He’s very up to speed on current trends for today’s homes based on what he was seeing at some of his other projects. All of his venders from the granite to hardwood floor and plumbers were very prompt and extremely courteous. In fact, we actually learned of a mainline sewer pipe break a couple of days just before we moved into our home. While the break was in no way Andy’s fault, he was very quick to get a diagnosis from his plumber and they were scheduled and fully fixed the problem 2 days later at a price almost $1000 less than other’s I saw on Angie’s list. While we did not live in our home during the renovations… thank goodness, I would think that based on his attention to detail in the other areas of our renovation that he would make sure to keep a clean work environment around him. The job was finished on time and within budget. In fact, he actually ended up starting a full week earlier than expected and finished the job in 5 weeks rather than 6. I would highly recommend Andy to anyone looking for an honest, friendly and dependable contractor to complete their home renovations. His experience and wealth of tradesman in the industry were great!
