The technician was professional and knowledgeable. He provided us with tips on how to keep our locks working properly since he found they they were a little difficult to turn. I was happy with the service.

We are return customers to Active Lock and Key. I made a last minute appointment on a Tuesday morning for later that afternoon and my request was accommodated - no problem. I have dogs in the house and asked that to receive a call before the locksmith arrived, which was done. The locksmith we personable and professional, He took care of the job quickly and efficiently.

Just purchased '05 Bounder 35E Motorhome. 3 different locks could not be opened. Called first, then drove over and parked in spacious lot (watch out, entrance eastbound on Central, only). All of this done whie I waited. All keys worked the first time. Courteous and professional service. There was a 20% A.L. coupon that was not applicable. It is for service calls only and should probably be labeled as such on the A.L. site. I will go back to them any time ai need any key made.

called Wednesday and Dennis was here Thursday. Quick and professional service and very helpful. Overall I think Dennis was here less than ten minutes. Price was also more than fair. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends.

I would recommend them. He was professional and responsive. I called him in the afternoon and he showed up a couple hours later; that was nice.

Dennis replaced the mailbox lock and gave us new keys since we broke the only mailbox key we had. It took all of 3min for him to replace it and give us the new keys. Couldn't ask for more. Even with out the coupon he was cheaper than all of the other options. Great service Great price Honest guy.

I closed on a house and wanted to change the locks immediately. I called them after the closing and they were able to make it to my new home within a couple of hours. They were on time and professional and changed the locks very quickly. I will use them again in the future.

The person who replaced door knob did a good job. Was done quickly. Thought it was pricey, especially with the 20% discount (service call) and after seeing how much everyone else paid for more services on their reports. Would only use them again if I shopped around for a price and it was in the ballpark with other companies. I should have shopped around more. The person on the phone was a bit snippy. I thought he said that the person would be at my house at 1 pm. When it was 1:53 pm and no one had showed up, I had called, and he said that he told me between 1-2 and that no one ever seems to hear the "2" part.

They came to our house to change them and we were pretty satisfied with their service. The price came right under $600. Their quote came in the cheapest, so that was the main reason we used them. They gave us a fair quote for the services that were provided given the other quotes that we got. We liked their availability. They were willing to come out fairly quickly. We would use them again in the future if necessary.

The locks were re-keyed and new keys were provided. I contacted the vendor prior to the service to make sure that the 20% Angie's List discount would be applied and was assured that it would since I would not be present at the time the service was provided. My Realtor met the technician at the house and paid for the service. When she reminded the tech that we were to receive the 20% Angie's list discount she was told that they never give a 20% discount, only a 10% discount. The tech was paid my Realtor called me to make me aware of what transpired with the technician. I contacted the business office for clarification. I was told by the person who answered the phone that the technicians don't always know what discounts are being offered, but he would check with the owner. I did receive a phone call later to tell me that an error was made and I would receive a check for the additional 10% which I did receive. All the technicians need to know what discounts are currently being offered by this vendor as they are the ones doing the work in the field. There is no excuse that is acceptable here. I would not use this company in the future.

My experience with Active Lock & Key Ltd. Company was good. The locksmith that came out was very friendly. He does good work. He was a very nice person. I would use his services again in the future.

They did an excellent job, just excellent. He had to mount everything with some difficulty. He took his time and did it, it was so close to the brick outside and it is on a slant so it can't be manipulated. He did a beautiful job. He's a very nice guy, did it in a timely fashion and couldn't have done a better job. I would recommend them.

The price was $95.00, just as had been quoted to me over the phone. They said they could come even when I was not home and I could come to their office Saturday to pick up the keys. I didn't want to pay the extra for emergency time on Saturday or Sunday. As I was going to the mail box to label mine, they arrived. They were very polite and professional, even delivering the mail in the mailbox to me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else. The $95 was the least I found while getting estimates. Most were in the $115-$125 range.

Early Saturday morning, (7-12-08) our newly constructed home (lived there less than a week) was broken into by a burglar kicking in our front door. Two other units were also broken into, but were unoccupied. When we contacted the association to inform them, they suggested Active Lock. Not having the luxury of time to "shop" for a locksmith, as our front door was damaged to the point of being unable to even temporarily secure it closed, we took the information for Active and called them. Mike was the technician they sent, and he arrived in about 1 hour from the time of the call. He was professional in appearance and manners. He went right to work. He showed us how the security plate under the decorative plate was not securely screwed into the door frame, in fact, there were only two-3/4" screws securing the plate. He replaced the plate, and secured it properly. He also cleaned up the broken wood off the frame and nailed back into place, I'm sure above and beyond the scope of what he was required to do. We were extremely grateful for his timely response and professionalism and the time he took to make sure we were secure. Before the break-in we had ordered new, more secure locks for our doors but they had not yet arrived. We canceled that order and went to the store front for Active Lock and will have them installed by Active when they arrive. We were very pleased with the help and professionalism they showed in the store as well. They showed us the options available to us and were extremely helpful in explaining the pros and cons of the different choices. We will certainly recommend them to others and will take future business there as well.

Arrived during stated time period. Was personable. Explained various options. Reasonably priced, clean uniforms and performed work well.
