Would go for days at a time before he would be back to continue work. He asked us to stop payment on a check that he said he tried to cash and the check was taken. We were subsequently sued in court by the currency exchange where he had in fact cashed the check so we were out $1000 that we had given him a replacement check for plus court costs,

Bill Ross will come across like a very Christian like professional to earn your trust. He will quote you unbeatable prices with guaranteed results and deadline dates. BEWARE!!! Once any type of money transaction via check or cash is made his true character comes out in the form of excuses, sad personal stories and nothing but Lies. I paid him $3500 in cash upfront with a balance of $2490 in cash for him to do carpet replacement, refinish my hardwood floors, and Windows treatment which was the major project items I needed to get my home rented out. Four days later he called me and said he found little things around the house that needed to be repaired and needed an additional $2700 to take care of it. Two weeks later I ask when will the carpet and blinds be completed? Bill stated that hardwood floors would be better instead of carpet because it last longer. He also noticed the master bath had mold under the tile and needed to be replaced. He said he will complete every thing for $5000. And all work will be completed when I return from out of town in one week. He told me he needed at least $3500 to make that promise. I gave him $4500 cash. Returned from out of town and noticed nothing was completed, no hardwood floors, blinds, toilet, shower head, shower door, the list goes on. I asked Bill what's going and why wasn't any work completed, he stated he misquoted me prices and he needs an additional $3200. He also stated he spent the money on his truck for a new transmission. That's when I realized he was a professional con artist. I asked him to clean his mess he accumulated and leave. When I asked for my refund for the materials and services he failed to do, he got angry and shouted the he did $30,000. worth of work and don't have any money. To sum it all up, I had to hire other contractors to do and redo what Bill Ross which by the way is not his real name had done. His real name is William Abruscato who according to local authorities has been scamming people in the Lake County IL for years. I am writing this factual and unbiased review to warn and educate others about Bill Ross cleverly deceptive practices.
