great! ken was professional and thorough. He found the entry point, and installed heavy wire screening to keep it from happening again. He also did a full inspection of the loft. On top of that , Ken saw a screw for the garage door on the floor, and put it back on so the door would function correctly. That was a real bonus!

Response time was great. They got back to me right away and came out as soon as everything dried out after weeks of rain. So far the treatment has worked. The cost was high so I hope it lasts the summer as I have had a problem with a different provider's treatment being ineffective. My only comment is being rather surprised how quickly I was being "reminded" about payment. 9 days after the service I got a letter about this. As so happens I had already sent payment. Most providers allow 30 days so I found this to be a bit aggressive.

No response last year. Tried again this year....no response. I'm not sure why they are still on Angie's list??

The technician Pete was extremely knowledgeable. He assessed our problem (mice coming in fro outside) and set up some test traps. When he returned the following week, he sealed up any pathways for the mice to get in based on the traffic he deduced from the test traps. We have yet to see any mice since; about 1 month time. I can't say enough about Pete and A-Action. The previous excellent reviews on Angie's list were 100% correct.

Very well. Everyone is incredibly responsive to our calls, very good at explaining all the details of treatments around the house. Enjoyed working with them and will continue to work with them for all our pest removal needs.

The work went really well. They explain that it would take two visits the first setting poison and determining where the mice are coming in in a second follow-up to ensure the mice were gone and to close any entry ways for them to come back. Both of the visits were done by the same technician he was on time courteous and professional. He completed the job in a timely manner and we would definitely hire them again.

My daughter heard little taps in the attic above her room. A-Action Pest control worked with me to find a time to come to my house. My technician Ken was great- he explained the process to me, was very respectful of my home, and educated me about the way mice can get in the home. Just had my follow up visit today and mice are gone! I'm definitely happy I found them and will continue to do business with them. I did end up getting the yearly plan but felt no pressure to do so. We have had a lot of spiders in our house (just moved to this house recently) and have seen less since A-Action has been out.

Serviceman was very nice. It worked short-term, as expected.

The came out and found where it was getting into the house. The installed a device which only lets the get out, but the squirrel couldn't get back in. After about 10 days, the came back out and removed the device and repaired the damage.

I just called about an animal issue and the woman on the phone gave me some very practical solutions that would not require them to come out to our house. I am so impressed with any company that tries to help its customers instead of looking to take advantage of people. I will definitely be calling them in the future.

I can't say enough about this company . They couldn't have been nicer or professional. Ken came twice now and I can't be happier with the service He spent a lot of time and effort for me and i finally can feel i am mouse free. The girl who answers the phone was also the greatest . I would give them 10 stars if there was that kind of rating .You won't go wrong

It was a true pleasure to deal with this company from start to finish! Starting with the person handling the phones to Joe, who did the actual work, it was nothing but courtesy and professionalism all the way. They were able to set up our initial visit quickly and to fit with my work schedule. After the initial inspection, an excluder device was installed over the area where the squirrels were coming in. Joe took pictures of the damage to the ouside of the house to show us, since we knew where they were coming in, but we couldn't actually see the area from the ground. After we were sure all the squirrels were out, I scheduled the follow up visit and Joe came back and removed the excluder and closed the hole. He explained what he did to close it, and also checked inside the attic for any damage they may have caused, which fortunately for us was okay. All this was done in a quick and efficient way. For both visits, Joe showed up promptly at the early end of the time window we were given. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing this kind of service, and I'll definitely be calling them again if I have problems in the future.

Quote was for 1,200 on light end and they charged 150.00 to come and give estimate. I had my concerns to pay 150.00 for them to drive 10 minutes down the street but though the estimate would have been 500.00 to 600.00 dollars but instead was 1,200.00. They went on to tell me they were backed up over 10 days and that would turn out being the time where the bats were protected for 2 months by law. I took a call from the owner -he was kind enough to call back after I gave them my 150.00 for them to spend 25 mins at my house for estimate. When I asked him how much it was going to be at house visit he said probably ball park 500-700 dollars so needless to say the 1,200 whopper estimate I thought was unreasonable. So when the owner called me he was very good at attempting to justify why it would be so expensive because he would need 3-4 people to do job and it would be comprehensive etc...bottom line he wouldn't budge on price and really thought he was justified. What I was most disappointed about beyond the whopper 1200 estimate and then them saying they were too booked to find time after taking my money for estimate was that I thought it was below the line....I don't do business like this and feel compelled to write this complaint. They are quick to answer the phone and kind lady hat fields most incoming calls very professional and captures a great number of inquiries but I was disappointed and felt that the pricing was completely unreasonable and they were too busy for me to complete project after estimate to be within window of the bats being protected. After all the talk about why the 1,200 was reasonable etc I made 2 other calls for assistance. I paid someone to come within 2 more days and they didn't charge to give an estimate and furthermore drove 1 1/2 hours to get to my house (not 10 mins from Antioch right down the street) to give me an estimate for FREE without any lengthy justifications about why they need to charge etc...when all was said and done the other company charges me 400.00 for the entire job ----not 1,200. I don't enjoy writing negative feedback but truly feel compelled to convey my disappointment with how I felt they overcharged me and were not straight forward about how the work would not have been able to fit in their window. I am sure they will write a long justification on why they were going to charge the 150 or why they were so backed up...bottom line, this should not have been complicated there is an issue when I get the same work done for 1/3 the pride all together with same guarantees on the work.

Initially talked with Karen on the phone regarding my immediate problem of wasp nest in wall next to second floor bathroom vent. Karen was very knowledgeable and helpful in describing what she recommended. She scheduled the field technician, Fred, to come out in two days which I thought was very responsive as this was not an emergency. Fred showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. He explained what he would be doing and answered all of my questions. Even helped with an ant situation in our basement and made recommendations on exhaust vent guards. Extremely well qualified and would definitely use A-Action's service in future or recommend to anyone. Thanks Fred!

Absolutely great company to work with. Called them out for a mice problem in my garage and the serviceman, Fred, spent a lot of time mouse proofing my garage. I'm talking about up in the attic, pulling down old insulation and checking drains. I felt like he had all the time in the world for me (did not get that with the other BIG pest company). He set lockable poison boxes that neither child nor dog could get at the poison (really neat!!). I also was pleasantly surprised to find out that their quarterly rates were MUCH lower than the BIG pest company I had employed before. Oh, and one more thing......Fred noticed a ground wasp nest immediately upon walking to the garage and dusted it......Fred was friendly, the office staff was warm and friendly......I'm sold!! A-Action has my business!!!!!

Travis, I believe his name was, came out and made quick work of spraying in and around the outside of the house. So far ants don't seem to be coming back. Friendly, fast, and affordable

After 4 years with another exterminator trying to get rid of paper wasps and yellow jackets coming into my home year-round, I decided to find someone new. I chose A-Action and am so happy I did. Joe came out for an initial inspection both inside and outside of the house, as others had done. As I told him of my experiences with another extermination company as well as with the wasps themselves, he promised he would find the nest for me. To be honest, I took his comment with a grain of salt as I'd heard that before from 7 other inspectors who hadn't been able to resolve the problem. But, while he still hadn't found the nest, I was optimistic because I thought he was sincere in his desire to help. When the weather was a little warmer and less rainy in early May, Joe came back and sprayed the whole house. After 3 weeks I saw a few more wasps in the house again so I called A-Action to take another look and/or spray the house again. Joe came out on 5/21 and walked around outside and then went to the basement again with me where the source of activity had always been. As we were talking, he pulled back the insulation in the ceiling and there it was. A huge nest that required more than the vacuum but also a big Hefty garbage bag to remove it all. Luckily, due to the time of year, the next was pretty dormant so there was no swarming of wasps or yellow jackets. Since they had already sprayed the house, the warranty was in effect and there was no extra charge for removing the nest. I was so thrilled that he found the nest because I'd been living with these pests flying inside my family room and kitchen for the past 4 years! As I look back on how simple it would've been to resolve this sooner - by moving the insulation - I'm surprised that none of the prior inspectors had thought to do so. The true test of the pests' departure will be this fall when it gets cold outside and they come inside to stay warm. That's when they've regularly swarmed in larger numbers inside the home. I highly recommend A-Action and Joe for their service both at my home and in the office. The office staff was always friendly and accommodating with my work schedule when I had to be at the house during office hours. Joe was great and I applaud his commitment to his job and his word.

The inspector didn't make it on time so I called to find out if he was still coming. They discovered a glitch in their system and for reasons no one could explain, I wasn't on their schedule. They were very professional and thoughtful to me needs. They pulled him from another job to come to my house, even though he was quite a distance from me. I was really impressed with how they handled the mistake which increased my respect for them inspite of the mistake. Mistakes do happen, but how they are handled means everything! When the inspector came, he was very friendly and efficient. I had questions relating to pest issues, not related to the attic and he gave some great advice. My experience with pest control outfits, I would definitely hire them in the future over any others I've used. I totally like their philosophy of keeping pests out of my house rather than catching them after they are already inside! The inspector told me I should consider submitting the attic work to my insurance - I would not have thought of that. Unfortunately the work was not covered and we cannot afford to do the work right now, so we are not going forward at this time. The inspector went above and beyond and asked me the name of my insurance agency and he called himself to verify the coverage. I thought that was very thoughtful to go that extra step. I will keep their name in my file for any future attic work or pest control.

They arrived on time. They covered the area, were very neat and cleaned up after. They installed the attic insulation. Peter and Hugo were very professional and personable. I am very satisfied with the job they did and would highly recommend A Action for insulation, and also for pest control that I used them for earlier in the month ( and posted a review on that.)

As a result of the many A ratings and location, I called A-Action on Thurs. The woman on the phone was very helpful and explained their procedure. They came out on Friday at the appointed time. Joe and Ken were friendly and professional. They performed a thorough inspection of my townhouse including outside, roof, attic and interior. They identified the problem and explained the solutions to get rid of and control the pests. I decided to have A-Action take care of my pest issues. In addition, A-Action also handles insulation. I have been meaning to have this done for a while so I also decided to have them add more insulation to my attic. (I will review that when it is completed). Based on my dealings with Joe and Ken for the inspection, I decided to use A-Action.

We back up to a forest preserve and have had a terrible issue with mice until we started using this service. Since using them we have no mice inside our house. In the summer months they also spray for spiders and ants. Excellent service, excellent price, excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company.

This was second time we have used their service. Prompt response.
