Michael's Horticulture & Nursery

I first want to say that my husband and I truly do support small businesses. Michael Perrino left an advertisment on our door. We were still getting estimates so we decided to contact him. The first meeting went well. Michael walked us through the options and ideas. He then left an estimate the following Tuesday. After discussing the options, my husband and I decided to go with Michael's Horticulture and Nursery. We set up a follow up and final walk through before the work was to begin on 9/8 at 8am. Michael did not show up for his appointment. We waited an hour and then called the office. His wife answered the phone. Elizabeth was very polite and also shocked that he had missed his appointment. She assured us that she would let him know and have him contact us immediately. Saturday passed and Sunday Passed. One Monday 9/10 I called again. Elizabeth said that she would call him and let him know. I finally spoke to him an hour later. Right off the bat, he was irritated at my even being on the other end of the call. He said that he was not well and I said I was sorry and if he still was interested in taking on the job. He said he did not want the job becuase he felt that he had already dropped the ball and should just cut his losses. I told him that we were willing to look pass that infracture. He said that my husband and I got him yelled at by his wife and that he just would rather move on. He was yelling so loud I could barely understand him. I told him that the language and loud yelling was uncalled for and that I would be using the world wide web to air my grievances on his customer service. He then yelled on futher that he did care and would still get customers and our review meant nothing. When I say yell.....I could put the phone down and step back 2 feet and still hear him well. (REVIEWERS PLEASE SHOW HIM WHAT REVIEWS MEAN ON ANGIE'S LIST). I can understand if you have a truly rude customer being angry, but my husband and I were understanding up to the point where he disrespected us completely. We could have just moved on after the "NO SHOW" but we were #1 concerned and #2 trying to give him another chance. So if you are looking for a landscaper in the Bolingbrook, Naperville, Plainfield or Aurora area.....CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE. I would not want anyone else to deal with the lack of professionalism that I had to deal with......UNACCEPTABLE. We will continue to support small businesses...just not Michael Perrino's Horticulture & Nursery. Have a great day!
