Precision Heating & Cooling

The team was great! i was without heat on a 20 degree day and i called they had someone come out same day were very upfront with pricing and talked me through the steps as work was being completed, i now have heat & couldnt be happier! i will definitely call again!

Horrible services Nothing but problems since day one with this guys. I have spent over 40K on the HVAC system and its piece of crap. First moment I confronted the high estimate immediately void the warranty from heir company eve do nobody work on the system Stay away

They are reliable and I would recommend going through them doing the no maintenance worry plan.

Because one week later it broke again I will not use them at all. It suppose to be an insurance work and also did sometime back 2014 and they did such a bad job it broke the air conditioning broke and they charge me fifteen hundred dollars then now their charging me thousand dollars for the repair. It was not fixed then and to fix it again I had to shell out thousand bucks. Not different company see I made them do it but they charge me thousand dollars anyway.

At first we just needed a new furnace but we ascertained that given the need to also replace the inner coil along with the furnace it would also make sense to replace the outdoor A/C condenser too. Precision was one of five I called. Rcvd their name from Munch Supply, the distributor in Chicago for Trane equipment. They were not the cheapest - TDK Mechanical was that. TDK's estimator seemed like a lost puppy, especially when I asked "what steps do you take to actually commission the new furnace, before calling the job complete". It was like I was speaking Greek to him. Precision was not priciest: GV Heating in Glenview was that (though they knew what they were doing, I must say.). Precision was very responsive and patient with all my questions. Their estimator/sales rep was Dan and their installer was also a different guy named Dan. Both were terrific. I will fault the estimator somewhat for using a 3rd party heat loss computation system that really was not up to snuff. I'm sure my furnace is a bit oversized now. We installed an 80K BTU system (80% efficiency, the max we were could here, by code) and yet could have been OK with a 60K BTU system, as observations on the coldest days of February later revealed. The new 80K BTU furnace was only running about 55% of the time on those days. So word for the wise: Be sure to have a proper heat loss calc done before buying a new furnace. One of the other bids we had rcvd made no attempt at this and simply wanted to install a 100K BTU furnace instead based on looking at the 18 yr old wrongly sized original furnace, so part of me is at least glad we didn't bite off on that dumb idea. 100K BTU furnace would have been way oversized. Best bet, as I've learned now, is to buy the smallest furnace you can which will bring your house to 70'F on 0'F outside days, and will run continuously in that weather (vs just part of the time). Anything much bigger than that will cost you cycling on/off headaches and more wear and tear on the furnace. That said, it seems to be me that the installation of the furnace and A/C were very well done. Getting the install done right is at least as important as buying the right equipment.

This was an emergency and I had them come do this. On the last service they had to install a new humidifier and filter and it took awhile for the parts place to send them a new one. I had asked them how to get heat to my back room office and they finally got it working this year by extending the duct work. They were very persistent in making this happen and very professional. They also send thank you cards for using them. I was not originally impressed with the install but I'm very impressed with the service at this point. They have a professional and knowledgeable crew.

Whenever I have an emergency kind of situation, I call him, he comes and everything is taken care of. He installed my heating and air conditioning system over the years. He’s been working for me over the years since he went into business. My husband knew him and he wanted to give him a chance since he was starting off new. So it didn’t bother me and I agreed to it. We started with them and we’ve been with him ever since. He’s honest. He knows what he’s doing. He has people that work for him who know what they are doing. If they are not sure they contact him and tell him that it doesn’t look right and they do not know what to do next. This happens very rare. I’ve never had any of his workers come over here and who do not know what they are doing. They clean up after themselves. They remove all the unwanted things. You’re not left with a whole bunch of junk. They are just thorough. I’ve never had any issues or problems with them ever. I would use their services again in the future.

It did not go well, not only are tbey overpriced, but they had to come back twice to fix the original job. When they first came out, they told me it was tested and all of the lines work. This was not the case, and I ended up having to pay an additional $500 to have the unit fix again. I tried to explain to the owner that this was not fair, but he did not seem to understand. He provided me with very poor customer service. Telling me if I did not want to pay a second time to send the person home without the job being completed(knowing that I could not since it was 95 degrees outside). I was very upset, but I paid it, and vowed to joins Angie's List to find better service providers.

THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH BUT IT WORKED. THEY CAME OUT AS THE COMPANY FROM MY HOME OWNERS WARRANTY, AND RATHER THAN BID OUT THE JOB, I JUST DECIDED TO USE THEM.

VERY FLEXIBLE IN SCHEDULING, PROMPT & VERY NEAT. OVERALL VERY PLEASED, AND I WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.

EXCELLENT, VERY RESPONSIVE AND COMPETENT. JOB WAS COMPLETED ON TIME AND ON BUDGET.
