Roof of old garage had collapsed due to snow, we called Johnco company and they responded within 24 hrs. After assessing the garage, they came out once weather was permitting and proceeded to removed the old garage. They built a new garage from the ground up. Mr. Johnco was very much on hand making sure that the job was done to his specifications. All the work was done in a timely manner.

Great, looks perfect, would never know there was any damage.

It was a good experience. They did what they said they were going to do and it looks good. The price was good. The staff was good.

Not too bad. John is very responsive, and despite the weather they completed the work in only a few days. We wanted a place for our dog and children to play. We have a very difficult yard to deal with because of easement areas and hills and such. John was great at helping plan and create, and they installed the fence quickly. The only drawbacks I have is that he did not call JULIE, I was expected to, and he did not obtain a permit from the Village. I was told by both places this is normally for the contractor to handle. The day of the installation I happened to be working from home and John asked when I scheduled for the village inspector to do the initial inspection. I was not told by anyone this had to be done, so I didn't do it. Luckily it worked out, but I would have preferred Johnco handle this portion of the job rather than relying on me since I do not do this for a living. Other than that minor inconvenience the fence looks great and it appears they used quality materials.

We chose them over several other companies due to their price. The quality of work was very good. He did a good job.

I'm really happy with Johnco Builders. They did everything i wanted to do. My new gutters fascia and trimming arournd the windows looks really really nice. I love the way they work. They're never late and John owner of the company was there every day to help me with any questions i had. I would really recommend Johnco Builders to any one that wants their job around the house done right. I give them 10 of 10. :)

After getting quotes from 3 different companies, Johnco offered by far the best price. During the time they were working, they were friendly and polite, and worked with us to identify the best options for our fence and garage. The work did take about 3 weeks longer than they had told us. The issue came when they had finished their work. They were getting paid through our mortgage company, and it took a while for the paperwork to get processed (which had nothing to do with us). The boss got extremely frustrated with us and threatened to take us to court at one point. Before we signed on to work with him he said he understood the terms of the payment structure (someone from the bank had to come inspect the work, the paperwork had to be processed through two separate banks, etc...), but when the time came to jump through the hoops he was became very unpleasant to work with. I don't think we would work with him again. Caveat--I was 9 months pregnant and was literally in labor when he called to threaten to take us to court, so I may be overreacting. The work they did was great, but the final interactions left us unhappy.

We are very pleased with their work. We will absolutely use them again for future projects. The company is very punctual, and their work is rock solid. Their pricing is very fair. We have already referred them to a friend of ours to do work. You can't go wrong with this company. A+ in our book!

It wasn't very thorough. The unit that I had him check did not have the gas turned on so he wasn't able to check the stove, hot water or fireplace. If everything had been turned on, it would have been a thorough inspection. I was satisfied with the inspection and all things considered, he did a fine job.

On July 9, 2012 I phoned John Sieminski and asked him if he would come to my home location and give me a final estimate on the garage repair. Last summer I had him look at the garage problem which consisted of rain water and dirt coming in the garage from one corner of the garage all the way to the large door. One thing he mentioned last year was that the dirt had to be lowered to be even with the sidewalk. Last week my husband was on vacation and worked all week on removing the square bricks from the side of the garage and lowering the dirt so that it would be even with the sidewalk. When I spoke with John Sieminski on Monday he said he would not come over to give me a final estimate for he is booked up until the end of the year. He said that if I would have had him complete the work last year he would have been available. He mentioned that I should call someone else. With the state of our economy so many providers are looking for work. Since he past up this job I did call two other providers from Angie's List and they are more than willing to give us estimates and complete the work. My husband and I are very disappointed that John Sieminski would not come out to look at the garage and give us a final estimate since my husband took the time to complete this dirt and brick project on his vacation last week, especially with the temperature in Illinois over 100 degrees. Well, there are always other providers out there and no one is indispensible.

Our 2 story back porch was starting to decay and was looking really bad. Some of the old windows were about to fall out. Parts of the old siding were peeling away and letting rain and snow in. Even the veneers of our old doors were peeling away and falling off. Johnco reversed it all and gave us a back porch to be proud of. It now looks like we live in a brand new home. They replaced all of our windows and doors with energy efficient windows and reinforced steel doors. They also included the aluminum capping, so that we don't have to worry about painting the window and door frames anymore. Our new windows were made with Low E glass to keep the sun's heat out in the summer and they were double glazed and argon filled, to help us save on our energy costs. And John went out of his way to find vinyl siding for the back porch that matches our garage's siding. It's a perfect match. They also installed a new gutter system with a new down spot and installed a brand new custom awning. Plus we had a new gate for our yard installed as well. It was a narrow entryway, so John was able to get a custom gate that fit perfectly. Mark and Carl, who were the installers, paid attention to every detail with their work and did an excellent job. Everything was installed perfectly. We are very happy with the outcome! Thank You Johnco!

They are very professional. We thought they gave a reasonable quote.

He was professional and courteous. We received his estimate when he promised. We did not choose this contractor for the project because we needed significant support in the design and product choices. However, we would ask for a bid from him again for projects where we have more experience with the type of work needed.

We would use John with Johnco again and recommend him to others. We are very pleased with results! He is professional, prompt and courteous. He answers the phone when you call and keeps his scheduled appointments almost to the minute. We initially requested an estimate on a roof repair, but after John arrived we were so impressed with his professionalism and his ratings on Angie's list, that we requested an estimate on a 2nd job and hired him for both. John wanted payment only after both jobs were done and did not want any $ beforehand. Also, he worked within our homeowners insurance claim payment. John and his crew removed all the debris. Please don't be put off by the sound of John's voice, his voice does not hamper does not hamper his skills and abilities.

We called Johnco regarding a damaged catch basin door. A previous service company had needed to open this door for work on our catch basin. The door had never securely been put in place and has warped since. John said he could come out to give us an estimate but due to many projects, they would not be able to do the work for a few weeks. That was fine with us and to my surprise he said he could come out right away. He showed up within 45 minutes, viewed the catch basin door and told us our options and cost of the project which would be over $1000. He was extremely helpful and informative and I was very appreciative of his honesty and ability to come out and see us so quickly. We decided to wait on the project for now but would definitely use Johnco in the future for this or other projects.

Very Well. This was a small job that Johnco fit into their schedule. It took several days for all of the work to be completed but the work happened for a limited time each day. The overall job probably was completed in a week or so. The result looks very good and the light fixture is operable.

We had some water leaks and needed to replace the veneer brick and siding on our house. I called 4 places to get quotes. Johnco Builders came first. All in all, he came to the house on 3 different occasions to answer our questions and educate us on what to look for. He was very patient with us and made several adjustments to his quote as we determined exactly what we wanted to do. In the end, we did not hire him to do the job.

John was right on-time and very nice. His estimate wasn't as detailed as others, but covered the basics. Price was about in line with others. One negative, although minor to some - his vehicle left a fairly large oil stain on our asphalt driveway which made me wonder a little about their standards. I would call him again on another project estimate probably.

I was very satisfied with the performance of the job and overall quality. I called in needing to remodel the entire property and Johnco Builders promptly responded.

We contacted John from a referral as they did some work for them. John did answer the phone the first time we called and when we mentioned to him what we wanted to do, he set up an appt to meet with us. Two days later, John was on time, we went over the house with our ideas, then John gave us suggestions, explain how things are done, wrote everything on the proposal and couple days later again, gave us a fair price. We started the work 3 weeks later.

Overall I was very satisfied with the quality of work performed by JohnCo. They not only did what I asked them to but worked with me in order to create a layout that suited my needs. I will definitely be using them in the future. Their work and professionalism was at a level that is hard to find among many contractors in the area.

Our roof was TRAGIC. It had 4 layers and was in need of complete tear off and replacement. Johnco completed the tear off, replaced fascia, gutters and installed 8 sklylights. It was great project and I was pleased with the outcomes.
