Arlington Porcelain Refinishing

They were fine. They did exactly what we asked them to do. There were some wrinkles along the way, they told us about it and it is holding up beautifully. We will use them in the future.

Excellent! Alan was punctual and willing to answer questions I had about the process. He taped and papered the area surrounding the tub (and papered over the doorway) and then made sure to ask if I approved of the color while he was able to still do another coat. Alan also told me how to put the tub stopper mechanism back "together" and was clear about how long to leave the paper/tape on and when it would be okay to use the tub again! Great service! It looks GREAT - like BRAND NEW!!

It went very well. Very professional workman who explained the process, how long it would take and when I could begin to use the tub Ther tub looks new.

They did a good job and we were very pleased with them. They did a good job on the bathtub and were capable and knowledgeable. I will use them again in the future.

Provider arrived on time and thoroughly removed the old coating. He was very careful to protect fixtures and walls from splatters. He then applied several coats of the new coating. The provider used a venting method to minimize any toxic smell in the house. In 24 hours the coating was dry. At that time I noticed some drip marks on the outside of the tub plus a small area where the paint had not been applied. I called Arlington Porcelain to repair the drips and to touch up the area lacking paint. Although willing to do the corrections, it took until September 19th to get the job corrected (the scheduler had booked appointments with me in August and early September but I kept getting bumped because prior jobs they were working on had not been completed on time). Now that the repairs are done, the bathtub looks quite nice. Had there not been so many scheduling issues I would have given the company higher marks.

There's not much to say -- trouble-free start to finish. Only one very small glitch: they replaced the drain plug (the old one had fallen apart from age) and the one they put in leaked slightly. We actually didn't notice it for quite awhile after the job was done (6 months, maybe more). We called them back and, even though some time had passed, they came right out and put it right with no trouble.

It was very good. I received an estimate over the phone. They came out a week later and performed the work that day.

Joe showed up exactly on time and assesed the job and gave me a price. He advised that I should get the faucet fixed before starting so it wouldn't interfere with the job. We scheduled another appointment, at which time, he reglazed the tub and shower tile, cleaned and polished the fixtures and cocked the entire area. All of his work was very professional, curtious and complete. The whole area looked like new when he was finished, which was quite an accomplishment since it was over 20 years since it was last done. He charged exactly what he said he would with the Angie's discount. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone. Great guy, great work and very professional.

The overall experience was great! It looks like I have a new tub (without the cost of a new tub)! They gave me an accurate estimate, came when they said they would, and did everything I expected.

They were great. They made the appointment and they were on time. There was one time, when I had to get the repair done. They came and did the repair quickly and didn’t charge me for the repair. Something had cracked in it because I dropped something accidently into the tub. They came and fixed that and didn’t charge me, and that happened within a week. I had a great experience with them and I will use them again. Their price was very competitive and that was what I was expecting to pay. They were very professional and friendly. At one point of time, they had to reschedule an appointment and they called me with enough time to reschedule it. Their service was very good. The quality of work has been very great so far; very good quality. I used someone before and it was a terrible. They actually had to come and re-stripe the tub and fix what the other people had done.

Great job! I'm very happy with the results and the price was very reasonable. Joe came and gave me an estimate and Chris did the job. Real nice guys and I felt they were both trustworthy. I had a little ding in the tile after I moved the shower rod and Chris came and fixed it. I would recommend them to friends.

After some lovely closing delays, we finally had access to our 1929 vintage fixer-upper condo. The bathtub was really in bad shape, so along with painters and electricians, we wanted to get it refinished as one of the top priorities. Arlington Porcelain sent someone out two days after we called them, which was unexpectedly quick-- they were in frequent contact so we knew right away when a job ran long and they were running late. I appreciated being kept up to speed. The man who came was very down-to-business, and even rigged up a funnel from plastic cups--the only thing I had in the apartment at the time--to keep the leaky faucet from ruining the refinishing job. As described in other reviews, the rest of our bathroom was carefully covered with painter's paper, and the fumes were pumped out of a window. Mostly, we're just ecstatic at how good our tub looks-- it's like new, and it was a lot less expensive and a lot easier than trying to rip out and replace anything. Very satisfied with the process, the product, and the price!

I'll keep it short: excellent job in every respect

Arlington Porcelain did a great job of matching the paint color to that of the toilet (linen white). Tub looks brand new. Worker was prompt, courteous, and very neat. Left good instructions. The price was as quoted and lower than I found elsewhere. Plumber who did the installation of the shower was impressed with the job Arlington Porcelain did and asked for name so that he could refer them. Thought that said a lot. Additionally, they were very accommodating on time. I had to change the time 3 times to work around other work being done on the house. Each time, they were patient and courteous. A real pleasure to deal with!

The job took most of the morning. Alan was on time and did a profrssional job, covering everything and taping. He had a huge exhaust fan that took most of the dust out. He did a great cleanup. There were a few runs in the tub bottom, so he came back, sanded the runs and put down a non-slip coating on the tub bottom and caulked. Except for the 5 days for the coating to finally harden enough for use, the outcome was worth it. The tub looks like new.

This process was great from start to finish. When I called with questions, they were very helpful and were able to schedule very quickly. The technician, Chris, came exactly when he said he would, explained what he would be doing, and covered everything else in the bath. When he was finished, it could not have looked better.

There was a small area on the side of our porcelain cast iron tub that was damaged from the vibration when the house next door was demolished to build a new house. The area got bigger and then started to rust. They came and fixed the area and you can barely see any difference. Very happy with the results. Only disappointing part was having to strongly request he vent the area because of fumes, due to the small area he didn't think it was necessary, yet when the job was first quoted the company owner said that would happen. We have a toddler, and wanted the area vented for that purpose.

It went very well. Chris was prompt, professional, personable and did and excellent job in covering and/or removing everything in the bathroom. The rest of the bathroom had recently been remodeled and I was concerned about material from this process damaging the new tile surround and/or floor. He explained the process and showed me what he was doing during the process. The job turned out excellent. Three days later, Al applied the non skid bottom and caulked the tub area. Both workers did an excellent job and were very professional. I would have them back to do other work

I was initially just going to have the tub refinished, but decided the day before they were scheduled to come to have them do all the tiles in the bathroom as well. Allen didn't bring quite enough material to do the whole room, so he came a second day to finish the room. There were a few drips dried into the tiles afterwards, and a few gaps in the caulk, so Allen came back to do the touch-ups. The tub looks brand new, and the tiles are s***-and-span. I love my "new" bathroom.

Allen rocks! He arrived during the scheduled time, called before he came, and completed both repairs in less than an hour. He is very knowledgeable and highly skilled. Both repairs are so expertly done that the repairs are invisible. You would never know that the flaws existed.

I was very apprehensive about the job being a mess and causing all sorts of fumes in the house. I was wrong. He covered the rest of the bathroom and sealed the door while he worked. The fumes were blown out a window using a fan and flexible venting. Joe was very efficient, cleaned up everything, and I most certainly would use him again.

When I contacted Arlington a few months back, I was given a price of $390 plus $70 for a non skid surface, but wasn't ready to have the work done. When I contacted them again they said they had a special of $50 off, plus the $20 Angie's discount, so the total price was $390 including the non skid. I was able to schedule it only 3 days in advance. I was expecting a problem with the smell after reading all the Angie's reports, but Allen did a great job of running a fan powered duct system from the bathroom and out my kitchen window and I thought the smell was very minimal. Allen came out 3 days later to apply the non skid coating and caulk around the tub edges.

They came on time, did the work perfectly and didn't charge an arm and a leg. It was great and I have recommended them to several people. I am going to have my other bathtub done this winter.
