Arlington Porcelain Refinishing

Other than having to live w/o the tub for 5 days the whole process was very painless. The guy (Al?) who performed the work was professional and cleaned up after himself, bundling all his waste into a small package that was easy to take out w/ the garbage. The masking he did was very effective in keeping paint out of the room. The finish isn't indistinguishable from new, but to the casual observer it looks fine, and is certainly better than the ugly, beat-up mustard yellow finish the tub and tile had before. I think the tile looks a bit better than the tub, but they paint over the caulk so it looks kind of like a "faux" tile surface now. Overall, if the finish holds up over time, I will be very satisfied.

The work is excellent. Not the cheapest but worth it. Very professional.

He refinished my bathtub and was the nicest sweetest guy. I couldn't say enough nice things about him. He fixed the work of another company and did a beautiful job. I can just tell he did a great job, and he had a ventilation system so the fumes would leave the house. He was just wonderful.

The tub was in good shape it just had discoloration at the bottom. When he first came he didn't know what to do, but tried to fix the issue the cheapest way. They matched the color of the tub to the skid perfectly. They also were professional, prompt and did the work at a good price.

I had an appointment for re-glazing the day before Thanksgiving, confirmed the day before and 8am the day of. Everything is fine I was told. Rechecked at 11 because heard nothing, again at 1, everything is fine I am told. At 3 I again called and was told they would check with the tech. Oh no, we messed up on scheduling and cannot come out for a week. This cost me $200 for missed work and I had to reschedule with contractor which we all know is not fun. I found this whole situation handled very unprofessional. Thanks for nothing.

Great I couldn't be happier. My sink vanity is just 2 inches from the tub and would be difficult to move but it didn't matter because some how they were able to mask the vanity and spray in that small area... I was very impressed. This type of work really pays to have a true craftsman that's good with sanding and excellent with a spray gun and masking.

I would definitely recommend Arlington Porcelain Refinishing to anyone who needs to refinish their bathroom fixtures. They finished the job on time, and they cleaned up, leaving absolutely no mess. The crew was very polite and quite friendly.

They did a beautiful job in one day. They bathtub looks like new. They were very thorough. They worked in a very efficient way. The price was very reasonable. We had to wait five days to use the bathtub. They came in and in a few hours they were out.

Highly recommended. A piece of the glazing mysteriously fell off our 3 year old cast iron claw foot tub. This tub was brand new, not a rehabbed tub. The glazing fell off and left a 1 inch spot that went all the way down the iron. It was probably a manufacturing defect. The total area of damage was about 5". Because it was so unusual I emailed photos. He responded with a quote, then I called the office and scheduled. Two weeks later, Joe came over and repaired it. He came back in 5 days, as is necessary, to do the final buffing. He did excellent work and it's impossible to tell where the damage was. Without Angie's List I wouldn't have known who to call. I highly recommend Arlington Porcelain Refinishing. He also removed some marks on the porcelain and told me how to get rid of them in the future: car polish.

The tub was in somewhat bad shape, with marks and dings. They called ahead of time to confirm the time, showed up as promised, prepped very carefully, and was finished within four hours. We received extensive instructions on how to care for the refinished tub. It looks good as new.

Looked fabulous. The hard part was not using shower for a few days while it cured.

After a four hour refinishing process, the bathtub looks as good as new. We are very happy.

Joe was great from the word go. Prompt, courteous, professional. Price was competitive. Bath tub looks like brand new. I would use these guys again and already have referred them to others.

The overall experience was good. Joe responded fairly quickly and with enough details about the job for me to hire him to refinish our 60 year old tub. He was a bit harried because he did not allow enough time between jobs. January was busier than he expected. He worked very hard and fast to complete the job, because it is our only tub and it had to dry for five days and I didn't want him to come back to complete it. (I had arranged to go away for the weekend.) The tub is old and showed some imperfections after the refinishing was complete. I don't know if he could have done a better job or not. He charged less than he could have for the multiple strippings of the old finish. He gave a detailed brochure for maintaining the finish, which was great. He left the bathroom in great shape, not too dirty. He gave an incentive for paying in cash, I'm not sure why. We have received many compliments from our guests on the condition of the new finish.

Before I could call them, their name disappeared from Angie's list. I emailed Angie and was told their business closed. I called the contractor and reported this. He called Angie and got his company reinstated. The job date was changed once. Assistant Alan showed up on time for the second appointment. The job took the 3-4 hours predicted. In addition to resurfacing the inside of the tub, Alan sprayed the outside of the tub. It was a badly needed and much appreciated gesture. Directions on care was given. The tub looks great.

Can't comment on price, because we didn't get other bids. Joe did a good job. Our tub is 50 years old, but it looks new. We won't really know how good the job is, until a few years from now. To determine how well the finish holds up, but it's guaranteed for 5 years.

Excellent! I spoke with Joe, the owner, who answered my questions and set up an appointment. He confirmed the night before and Allen arrived exactly as scheduled. He was very professional and efficient. Finished in about 3 hours and except for a beautiful new tub, there was no sign he had been here.

I got wonderful results! It looks better than we ever thought it could, just like a new white bathtub. It was a great option at a reasonable price. The office staff was also polite and professional. Calls were returned promptly and schedule changes accommodated.

Joe was very easy to work with from setting up the initial estimate to finishing the job. There was a mix up in scheduling, but Joe was very responsive and made sure the work was done while we were on vacation, even having work done on the weekends to accommodate. The bathroom turned out great and everything was left clean and orderly.

The Bathtub looks great. They were very helpful and took care with the work. The radiator does not look as nice, maybe we did not communicate about how much prep work should be done beforehand.

We are very happy with the outcome. It gave us a new bathroom at fraction of what a total rehab would have cost. We have gotten many compliments.

Joe worked around my time constraints. He was neat while he worked and left my home in good order. The bathtub looks good and he left me with clear instructions about curing, cleaning, etc.

Arlington Porcelain did an excellent job. They took time to understand the scope of work to be done and recommended a less expensive solution than a complete bathtub refinish. The tech, Al, was great to call in advance of the appointment and even patiently waited as I was running late. He performed his work quickly and professionally. Paper was placed on the floor during the job and zero mess/trash was left behind!
