Ariel Remodeling

Provider, after several contacts, came to our house and gave us an estimate for our project. Ask several communications, finally emailed us a quote that was I signed and returned to the provider. When I didn't hear back from them, I contacted the provider and asked when we could get the project done only to learn they were no longer interested in performing it.

The project went great and we are so happy we used Vally and his team. We're thrilled with our new darkly stained wood floors. They were really beat up and scuffed beforehand from years of traffic and dogs, and I was worried about water damage around our dishwasher, fridge, and bathroom toilet .. was amazed at how they could look like new! Also the office staff was great at responding promptly to emails and giving me all the details I needed. Would definitely like to use these guys again when we replace upstairs carpet with hardwood.

They came and said that they could do all kinds of flooring. But it turned out that it was only wood flooring was what they could do and were capable of doing it very well. Though it turned out well, it was a big headache. The pricing was good. He also subcontracted carpet work. The bathroom flooring was not his strength. I just thought that he didn’t have enough experience for that. I would recommend him highly only for wood floors.

Set up estimate meeting on 1/13/14. Man came out on time, fairly pleasant and stated he would get me my quote either that night of next morning. Called Ariel the afternoon o 1/14/14 and was told they are busy and I should have it by end of the day. That is the last I heard from anyone. Never received the quote, a phone call or email. Guess my tile job wasn't important enough.

We had Ariel Remodeling install new hardwood flooring on all of our stairs/landings and add tile to our laundry room. The quality was excellent and the price was very reasonable - the project also came in on budget. I would use them again and recommend their services.

Ariel remodeling was recommended to me from a good friend that also recently moved and had remodeling work done. She had told me that of all the contractors she interviewed, Vally ( Ariel remodeling) was the only one that actually showed up on time and was very professional and trustworthy from the start. Vally showed up as scheduled and on time to give us a quote. He really listened to what I wanted done, then gave me his suggestions. He measured everything at the first visit. A quote was then emailed to us in a reasonable amount of time. It was a contract that was very detailed and complete. I then called to have a few questions answered and we agreed on a day to start. I thought his quote was very fair. Vally communicated with us via text, email and phone calls. Vally, and his wife Ella, were very professional, considerate and prompt with all their communications. Vally listened to our requests and concerns and really completed all the work up to our expectations. Our house is a Chicago 100 year old brick 2 flat converted into a single family home. Nothing in this house is a standard size or leveled. It would be a challenge for any contractor. I was very concerned that the tile in the basement would not turn out even and leveled because the basement floor was not. Vally removed the carpet, and placed the tile down amazingly straight. He did say he had to use a lot of product to even the floor out( no extra cost), but it really turned out nice. When the tile was first placed, I thought that there were 5 tiles that had a slightly different shade to them. I bought the tile. They were all the same design, but for some reason those 5 tiles looked a little off to me. When I asked Vally if he could replace them, he said no problem and it was done. I would highly recommend him for tile work. Our walk-in closet also turned out great. He actually ended up doing more demolition work then originally expected, but it was to our advantage and no extra cost. Vally always cleaned up after he left and respected the space around his work area. Vally always showed up as scheduled and completed the work as scheduled. A few times he was stuck in traffic on 90 but always called and text to let us know. Then, in the middle of his scheduled work, we had already hired a painter that disappeared on us and 50% of our money after only completing one of three floors of painting. I was so upset. I thought my husband and I could complete the painting ourselves since we did not want to spend more money that what we already lost. But, after painting one ceiling, I realized we were not capable and turned to Vally for help. He gave us a great quote for the remaining 2 floors and the work was done within that week. Vally was just a great help to us and would trust him to help us with any future work. I felt comfortable with Vally in the house whether we were there or not. Vally was very open to talk to and he had many great ideas that I had not thought of that were very helpful. It is really a great comfort to know that If ever I need any home remodeling in the future I have someone I can trust as a person and appreciate the quality of work.

.Ariel Remodeling was very professional and paid great attention to detail. Kept me up to date on what time they would be arriving and leaving everyday. Gave us great advice on how to maintain the wood floors and gave us helpful suggestions during the install. We had a party a few weeks after the hard wood floors were put in and received a lot of compliments. We will def. be hiring Ariel Remodeling when we have enough money saved to redo the second floor.

I contacted Ariel remodeling after my sister raved about the quality of his work. Needless to say Valley exceeded my expectations. We bought a 1964 colonial home which hadn't been updated since then! Once of the first things we had him do was take down the paneling in our family room and then drywall the walls. He did a great job making sure the bowed wall was corrected and paid special attention to all the details. He then took out the old floor in our laundry room all the way to the sub floor and reinforced it as needed. His tile work was done beautifully and we've received numerous compliments on the work. One of the biggest projects he has done for us so far was sanding and staining all of the hardwood floors that had been carpeted over. The floors were all mismatched and there were areas of the floor that needed to be replaced. The floors turned out better than my husband and I expected. He reinforced the areas that needed it and replaced an area that was full of nails. We decided to go with a dark stain and he mixed two colors so the outcome was just perfect. He also stained the stairs and the railing. Every time someone has come into our home they have commented on how beautiful our floors look. In addition to Vally's quality of work, his professionalism and work ethic stands out above all others. When we first purchased our home, we had several people come over to give me quotes, etc. Many times, I waited days for a returned phone call. But Valley was always easy to contact and his wife Ella, who runs the office, was always prompt to return a call, text, email and always got back to us in a quick and timely manner. Valley shows up on time and is reliable! I cannot recommend Ariel Remodeling enough. I am more than pleased with their work and I will definitely use them for future projects.

Family operation but very responsive will quality work. Our home contracted Ariel for basement drywall install, but was flexible with pricing / package as I ended up painting. He re-finished our wood floors - excellent quality. We closed off hallway door to prepare a nursery - no seem detectable. We have since referred Ariel to several family & friends.

Very nice, I was not home during the work but the end product was very attractive. I liked the shine that i picked and Vali did not spare any talent in applying it on my floors. Very very happy customer.

Work commenced as expected, Valy showed up with the right tools for the job and in time, he was very polite and never heard of him during the project, unless he had questions. Hard working lad. The end product was just fine, more than I have expected, as you don't run in good workers nowadays Valy was amazing. I would definitely work with him again. Price wise Ariel did a good job, it was not the lowest but for the work you get from them it's a bargain.

He was going to get back to me with a discounted price due to the communication problem but I can't get ahold of these people by phone, fax or email. He did not leave me samples of wood to matchup with the color of the wood or stain for me to match the doors or bars downstairs. He never brought it to my attention. Update 09/11/2010: Ariel remodeling refused to finish the job. The area to be finished was only about 52 linear feet, which is a small area. They left me high and dry and my responsibility to find someone that uses the exact lumber that they had used, along with finding someone that could install it for me. I feel as though this is incredibly unprofessional.

Ariel Remodeling was great to work with. They followed through on everything they committed to, from quality of work to quoted price, and completed all of the work on time. The floors look wonderful and we had absolutely no problems. Valy and his team are very responsive and trustworthy and have superior craftsmanship and made the floors look like they have always been a part of the house. They also did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Vally is a find, a person who really likes what he does and does a great job. He was recommended to me by someone on the ChicWIT list serve. I am about to hire him again because I have some loose and broken floor tiles in my kitchen - which means something's wrong with the floor UNDER the tiles. He'll have to replace the broken tiles and re-grout, too. I know he'll do a wonderful job.
