From salesperson, Janelle, to installers and plumber- great! Nice to work with and professional throughout. Would highly recommend and use again. Had 3 other estimates prior to Sporvieri. The prices were higher with me doing the demo and plumbing. Sporvieri provided all services and because of their price, allowed me to add the bathroom vanity which wasn't in my budget with the other providers. Installers had to problem solve on the spot due to non level cabinets due to the house settling since the original installation. They were great!
Description of Work: Remove: old kitchen laminate counter and marble bathroom vanity tops, 2 sinks, 2 faucets. Install new corian kitchen counter, granite vanity top and install accompanying plumbing.

Our contact at Sprovieri's, Janelle, met with us in our home and did preliminary measurements and directed us to their granite supplier. We selected our slab. Janelle provided the estimated cost (slab, fabrication, installation, sink, and plumber). Final measurements were completed using a computerized lazer measuring system which was spot on. Sprovieri is the fabricator and installer. We then went to Sprovieri's shop where we viewed the granite slab that we previously selected and showed them exactly how we wanted out 3 countertops positioned on the slab for cutting. They were very responsive and punctual. The installation crew removed and hauled away our old countertops and sink, installed our three granite countertops, drilled a hole for the faucet and attached the new sink. The time from selection of the granite slab to installation complete was less than 4 weeks. The estimate and final cost were the same. A very good job.
Description of Work: 40 sq ft of granite, three separate countertops with no seams, one 16 g SS double sink, installation and plumbing services to reconnect dishwasher, water supply, drains, faucet and garbage disposal in kitchen. 15yr sealer applied to the granite in their shop.

Had picked out a couple of different granite slabs and asked for prices. Took them 2 weeks to get back to me. Wouldn't answer emails or phone calls. Not responsive, so I went with someone else. They finally did get back to me with prices after I had already hired someone else. Their prices were higher than the other quote I got. Very disappointed since my contractor had recommended them.

The countertop was installed with great service, craftsmanship, timeliness and pricing. We met Chari at the show room where she was able to show us the various types of material and manufacturers. Others on staff helped to explain some of the technical differences to consider when choosing quartz versus granite. They also invited us to look at their cutting area to see if extra pieces left over from other jobs to see if they would fit our needs. Chari gave us samples to try out in our home before deciding. It helped that we came to the showroom with a sketch of the kitchen counter top with dimensions and pictures of the kitchen. Chari let us sit with the final samples in our kitchen for several days so that we could see how they would look. When we decided on the material, edging and cut-outs, then Chari delivered a quote. The pricing was in the middle of the pack of our quotes. One of the Sprovieri installers came out to our home to take precise measurements of the counter top and the new sink, cook-top and water filter. He was very efficient and polite. Installation team showed up on time, which was critical because we had plumbers and appliance techs scheduled after the countertop was done. The installation team was polite and took time to explain what they were doing with details on seams (our countertop required three sections) and caulking. They kindly saved the old molding around the counter top as I requested. When the cook-top and water filter were being installed, given their unusual design, they were a little too tight which is better than being too loose! I contacted Sprovieri and they quickly sent a crew over to make the small adjustments to the size of the cut-outs while the plumber and appliance techs were still on-site. The counter top looks great! This company gives great service at a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: The project was a kitchen countertop replacement. The old Avonite countertop was cracked (By the way, never use Avonite in a kitchen since it does not hold up to heat from things like a crock pot or scratches from kitchen knives.) and we were planning to replace it with a quartz or granite. We wanted to have the countertop color compliment an existing stone countertop on the kitchen island. Chari, our rep at Sprovieri Custom Counter, helped us to evaluate the best product to fit our daily needs in the kitchen. We selected a Silestone quartz product. She coordinated the precise measurement and ordering and installation of the countertop. We have an L shaped counter-top, about 40 sq feet with cut-outs for the kitchen sink and cook-top. We also upgraded the kitchen sink and cook-top, so we had to purchase those items and have them delivered to our home before the precise measurements could take place. Some of the other countertop installers had nicer show rooms (the company does a lot of commercial work so it's located an industrial area), but the combination of the service, expertise and the pricing caused us to go with Sprovieri.

The countertop and installation was ordered through Home Depot. Within 2 buisness days, an appointment was scheduled for measurement. I took the day off work to be home for the measurement. That morning, the measurer called and said he wasn't comming because his car broke down. After some protest, they sent someone else out to measure that afternoon. We have a very custom space to fit the counter into, so I verbally walked the guy through what we wanted. He measured the space, drew a picture and left. Two weeks later, the counter top arrived as scheduled, however it was not the right size at all. One end of it was 2 -3 inches too long and the backsplash was not the right length or size at all. After 2 hours of the team cutting, sanding and trying to make it work, it looked horrible! Also, they broke the wall mirror in the process. The team lead on the job said it looked horrible, and volunteered to get the backsplash rebuilt. He took new measurements, took pictures, volunteered also to replace the mirror. He also worked with someone at the shop to expedite the process. The next day, the company called me to appologize and tell me the timing of getting the new backsplash and having the mirror replaced. 3 days later (I again took the day off from work to be here), a new crew arrived with the new backsplash, but no mirror. They were never told of the mirror. So they called the office again, and the mirror will delivered and installed tomorrow, making it the 4th visit required to do this job! To their credit, they admitted their mistakes and made efforts to make things right. But, it took 4 visits and 3 days off from work to deal with this!

The measuring was done with the old counter top in place. When the guys came to install the new top, they discovered that the cabinet was not level and the walls in back of and along the side of the counter were not square. The installers went out of their way to install shims and trim the back and side splashes to get everything to line up and look good, despite the existing problems. While they were here, they also put in a new bead of caulk along the backsplash of of my Corian kitchen sink, that was deteriorated. I wasn't familiar with the overflow hose that came with the Staron sink. Sprovieri's repair tech was very helpful in explaining over the phone how to install the piece with the sink drain. The counter looks great; I love it!
Description of Work: At Home Depot, I ordered and paid for a 96 inch Staron solid surface counter top w/ integral sink for my bathroom, which included installation. From that point on, I dealt with Sprovieri, which was the firm that actually came out and measured for and later installed the counter top. I saved $175 by removing the old counter top and sink myself.

I obtained the initial price estimate by fax, after emailing Sean O'Mara the cabinet plans from my kitchen designer. As soon as my contractor had the base cabinets installed, Sean O'Mara came out and did the final measurements using CAD-CAM technology. He helped me pick the edge profile that would best match the 1930's, stainless steel commercial sink that I was retaining. Counters arrived on schedule, 9 days later. Unfortunately, the installers put them in with the standard 1-1/2" overhang instead of making them flush with the sink's 1-1/4" overhang. My kitchen contractor said he couldn't move the sink out from the wall to make it flush, so I called Sprovierie's. The next morning, two installers came out, removed the counters, cut off 1/4" from the backs and reinstalled them so that the fronts are flush with the sink. I am very happy with this fast service and the excellent results.
Description of Work: Install Corian(R) countertops in my kitchen and butler's pantry. Picked these for their sage-green color, which I couldn't get in manufactured stone. Didn't want the fuss of maintaining granite. Contracted through a wholesale store.
