I called this morning (3/14) around 6:30 & was told that he would be at my residence within an hour. When I returned home at noon, nothing had been done. Unfortunately, Selvin's irresponsibility is very consistent because I often had to call & ask Selvin's for snow removal this past December. Even when a crew did come, I had to call again because the service was very unprofessional. My neighbors' driveways & sidewalks were completely cleared while my driveway had many patches of snow. I will never hire them again.

Service was completed to our satisfaction in a very prompt and professional manner for each of the four snow removals so far this year. The crew is very polite and extremely careful around our landscaping. The price is a bit high, but the crew cannot use a snowplow on the pavers, so that is understandable. We are very pleased.

They plowed my residential driveway after this recent snowfall. Came out after we were in bed, worked around a car that was parked in the back but on the driveway, and cleared the whole driveway off. They also did the front sidewalk. They did not wake us up. We were very happy to wake up to a clear driveway. I have not been charged yet, but I am sure they will be fair in the pricing for the job that they did. I would recommend them to any homeowner looking for help with the snow this year.

It went very well. Selvin was very responsive, his team did a great job, and they even took care of some items that I overlooked (a deep divot in my front lawn)

The work was completed on schedule and looks great. There was a problem with clean up, in that my front yard was caked in a thick limestone dust after they left. When I called Selvin about it, he himself came out with a rake, blower, and hose the next morning to clean up. Professional and reliable service.

Selvin did a great job of drawing up a solution for the standing water and I am extremely pleased with the finished result. Water no longer floods in the back yard or seeps into my basement. I used to cringe when I heard rain was in the weather forecast but I no longer do.

Excellent, they started super early on a Saturday. Very punctual and professional. They did more work than the original bid and were great! The lawn has come in perfect. I'll have them back for my fall clean up.

Selvin did a fantastic job! While it was initially difficult to schedule a time for the job, once they did come out for the job they did masterful work. Everything was cleaned up and they followed our instructions and requirements to a 't.'

Selvin explained every step of the process before, during and after the work was done. He was very professional and on time with his crew. The second day they flattened the gravel and the Village came out to oversee it and make sure everything was done according to the Village Code. The third day very early in the morning the cement truck was out laying out the cement and Selvin and his crew were working together to smooth out the foundation. It was real team work!

Excellent! I communicated over emails with Selvin because of my hectic schedule at the time. And the job was done exactly how I wanted it.

Very well. Workers showed up on time, removed old stonework, excavated area and poured and smoothed new concrete. Total job took 2 days. Even did a little extra by filling in cracks in garage floor.

At our first meeting to discuss my sidewalk concerns, Mr. Selvin suggested what needed to be done, (compared to other "experts" who had own ideas on the project and provided very high prices) gave me a fair price, and I was quite pleased that project was completed within days of accepting his proposal. He's a man of his word, fair, punctual, and professional, all the while being quite pleasant to work with. He values your time! I am pleased to join the other reviewers who were fortunate to have used his service. Don't hesitate to call him, you won't be disappointed. I waited to see how the work holds up after winter and it looks great.

Fine. Because my driveway is stamped concrete, a regular steel bladed plow cannot be used and it has been difficult finding someone to agree to use snow blowers. Selvin agreed to do so and has done a good job with the few snows we've had so far. I also used them for my weekly lawn service & cleanup last year, as well as for a few other landscaping items. They were good and responsive to any concerns. Price is a little high, though.

Excellent work in October 2014. Selvin came out for an assessment and he was very professional, knowledgeable and offered great advice. Selvin's team did an amazing job with cleanup. Our yard was in complete disarray and the bushes, trees and weeds were out of control, but Selvin's team got down to business and made my front and back yard immaculate. I was extremely happy with the job they did. I also was negotiating another contract with Selvin to rebuild my front porch stoop. When I contacted him and Angelica several months later to move forward with that contract as well as hire them for regular lawn care, they stopped responding to me altogether. I reached out multiple times in May 2015 but no response, not even a "we're really busy, call you later" note. Just radio silence. I have no idea what happened. I was really happy with their previous work but it didn't feel too good being ignored like that. So for that, I have to rate their communication very low, which brings down the professionalism score a bit, too. But everything else was excellent. Selvin and Angelica are very nice people, so I am assuming that May 2015 was a tough month for them.

I was very pleased with the service I got. They were friendly, very prompt in returning my calls, coming out to look at the property to give me a quote and emailing me the paperwork. They were right on top of getting approved by the village to do the work and having JULIE come out to inspect the property. There was some tree roots that caused the destruction of the old concrete and during the quoting process they agreed to remove the roots for a small add on to the price. It turned out to be a lot of work for them and made hiring these guys all the more worth it. They finished the job within a week and it looks great. This is a project that I had been planning to have done for a while and I have no regrets with my choice of having Selvin's do the work. I will definitely keep them in mind for future projects.

The provider did a good job removing everything but there were hidden costs. I purchased a big deal for 12 hours of yard clean up but debris removal was not included so this added an unexpected almost $200 charge.

This was a pretty extensive project that ended up taking a month and a half.. The project was started in mid-June and the endless rain at that time was challenging. Selvin was there every step of the way, always explaining what was going on, and making suggestions for options to make the end result even better. Every member of his crew was always professional, knowledgeable and hard working. At the end of the work, everything was completely cleaned up and appropriate grass planted and sod installed. The end result is spectacular. I would not hesitate to call Selvin again for any landscaping work. We are also currently using his weekly lawn service and plan to use his snow clearing service this coming winter.
