I could not believe the amount of dead branches leaves and other debris they pulled out of my yard! There is no way I could have done that good of a job. The mulch under my back pine trees and a long the side of my house looks great. These two areas really needed the clean up, I can't believe the difference in appearance. The patio also came out great. Even though they do not provide the service they graciously moved all my patio furniture back for a small fee. Since I am widowed and live alone it was a huge service for me. Extremely polite and professional crew.

It did not go - I told him not interested in the design and the price.

It went very well. Lined the entrance and exit with stone. It took a half of day. Removed minimum soil and replaced in a professional manner. Workers were polite and willing to please. We could be happier. We will be thinking of hiring them in the future.

We were not happy with Selvin?s Landscaping. We used this company?s services as a result of purchasing the $349 Angie?s List Deal for 12 hours of fall yard cleanup. Selvin came out to the house in advance of scheduling the work, to view the job and to discuss additional work - not covered by the deal - that we wanted to have done. He told us at that time that he would be deducting 1.5 hours from the 12 hours for ?travel time? ? one-half hour for each of the three people who would be working on the job. We had to call him the following day and refer him to the Angie?s List description, which clearly specified 12 hours of labor. He backed off this point after being called out on it. However, when it came to the day of the job, he told us that bagging and bundling the waste would be an extra charge. Again, we had to print a copy of the Angie?s List description and show him that bagging and bundling was included in the services. (I will not even get into the ridiculous amount he wanted to charge for mulch ? a service we did not accept ? or the $150 for tilling, which we DID accept, based on the fact that he allegedly had to rent a tiller that he later admitted was owned by his company. There are only so many things we were willing to fight about.) As far as the work that they actually performed, it was done well, and they completed our highest priority tasks - clearing weeds and unwanted shrubs, moving a rose bush, tilling, and spreading mulch that we provided. But they definitely appeared to be slow-walking through some of the job, with the result that there was not enough time for them to perform some of the additional services covered by the deal that we would have liked them to do. Would not use them again and would not recommend them.

It went great. Selvin was on time and his crew did a great job! I took before and after pictures and wish I could share them here so you could see the amazing difference and understand how happy my neighbors are now that it's all cleaned up!

It took a while for them to set the appointment. I had hoped to have the work done before some guests came into town, but that didn't happen. They came out to look at the yard on Oct 13, asked questions, took notes and made some suggestions. I believe it was the owner of the company who was there. He was very friendly. The actual work didn't happen until October 30th. I'd definitely let my yard go - it was choked with weeds, especially the brick walkway and patio. When I got home, there was nothing but brick and dirt. It was a little shocking at first - but they'd definitely cleaned everything out. Even though they said they wouldn't bag, they filled 14 yard waste bags for me, they'd pulled up 3 randomly growing saplings, trimmed the lilac bushes out front and a stray bush from the neighbor out back. All of my perennials were cut back (I panicked at first because I thought they'd dug them up!) and there wasn't a single stray weed in the brickwork. They even bagged up the mountain of leaves I'd raked up the day before. They recommended some maintenance for my brickwork to help stop the weeds from coming through and I will most likely have them do it in the Spring. they do seem a little overwhelmed with jobs, but they did exactly what I'd asked them to and I was pretty happy with it.

They were great! They accomplished everything I asked them to do and were very professional about their work. Mr. Selvin first met with me before scheduling their work and we reviewed the jobs I wanted completed for this fall cleanup. At the appointed day, they arrived on time and Mr. Selvin and his crew cleared weeds and brush, cut down a small dead tree, pruned a tree, and completely cleaned out a very large flower bed that was covered with weeds and dead plants. They mixed in mulch that I provided and now my flower bed is ready for planting next spring! I will definitely use this company again!

I previously left a not so good review for this company as they didn't return my phone call or email. THAT BEING SAID......After they read my review one of the owners got in touch with me and came out that very same day to quote me on my patio. The owner explained they just got a new system and greatly apologized for what had happened., I was impressed by this and appreciated the honesty. I have to say from start to finish they were VERY professional and keep me informed as to any issues along the way. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone, they did an awesome job on our patio and I look forward to working with them in the spring to complete my front landscaping projects. They are a great company and I would recommend them to anyone looking for honest people who do great work! Thank you for the beautiful patio! We can't wait to get more use out of it!

Showed up as expected. Worked efficiently, professionally and completed the job exactly as we had discussed. A pleasant experience & I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Selvin has done an excellent job. His team is prompt, professional, and has consistently done good work. I will definitely use them again.

We were contacted by the owner and given a proposal for the work (last full week of September, 2014). We then issued a deposit and on 10/3 he and his crew began work on our yard. The first item was to get rid of the carriage walk on our parkway (between the public sidewalk and the curb). That has been replaced with sod. The crew then took to weeding the ground cover while we went with the owner to select some plants. He (Selvin, the owner) made good suggestions for the work we wanted to do. He then brought the selected plants back to the house and the planting work began. While we were on that errand, the remaining crew cleaned out the areas where the new plants were to go. All this, and on a cold, drizzly, gray day at that! We were given the option to add mulch to the cleaned-up areas, and we agreed to it. Besides, it would help make a cleanly finished "installation" as well as help to keep weeds at bay. Our apologies for this appearing under the "snow removal" category. It really belongs to the "Landscaping" category!

It was a little difficult to confirm the date, but the job looks great!

We called Selvin's for a second estimate after another landscaping firm's estimate was twice as much. They called us promptly, came within a day to give the estimate and did the work promptly within 5 days, instead of the 2 week window we were given. We were not home when the work was done and were extremely pleased to find it done. We will certainly call Selvin's for more work.

Everything went well. Got project done on time within budget.

I emailed back and forth with the provider about getting the service scheduled and was told I lived too far away to be serviced. He told me he would get a refund, but I never heard back from him.

They did an absolutely beautiful job and I would highly recommend them! The sod was very high quality and the work was very well done. The workers were polite, meticulous about their work, and overall a pleasure to work with. My yard looks beautiful - so clean and professional. After sodding, they power washed the remaining concrete in the backyard and also powerwashed the front walkway!. Selvin is very professional and easy to work with. He supplied a very detailed quote, lived up the start date and finished the job the same day as promised.. I can't say enough about pleased I am with their work.

Selvin Landscaping informed me when he was ready to do the work, was on time, took approx. 2 days, conversed with me on the disposition of the leftovers, the men did a professional type job on the stairs, cleaned up all of the debris the best I have seen and had good manners. I enjoyed our conversations. My wife and I are extremely happy with their work. I would have him again if needed. Our neighbor is considering having some work done by Selvin. .

Mr. Selvin promised to send me a price for the work and I never heard from him again.

We can't wait to have Selvin and his team back next year so that we can hopefully do completely new landscaping, concrete removal of our old patio and sidewalks and have them put in a new, quality patio and seating walls in for us. I would recommend his work 1000X over.

I spent about $500. That was my first time using them. They were prompt, they were very nice and they did a good job.

We call them and they answer right away. The owner answers. He's pretty good. They've been here four times so far, for mowing and fertilizing, so we don't have a lot of experience with them. But what we can see, so far, they're doing good. They're pretty nice.

I contacted Selvin's because of their reviews and based on their location to my parents home. I hired this service to handle snow removal for my parents. Based on my dad's updates, the snow removal was done on time. The owner was responsive and easy to work with when I explained that I was hiring the service for a different address but I wanted the bills to come to me. It was handled correctly from the beginning and I will continue to use them. Because I originally contacted them shortly after one of the early snowstorms of this past season, they went out right away to remove snow from the driveway and sidewalks and then continued to do so based on the parameters they have set for the number of inches etc. I am glad I called early on in the season because it was a brutal winter and I felt better knowing my dad was not out there trying to remove the snow himself.

He's on time, fast and efficient. I think his prices are very reasonable and he is a most pleasant person to do business with. He did a spring clean-up for me and now is mowing my front and back yards weekly. I just contacted him to kill the dandelions growing so well this year. So far, I am extremely pleased with his services.

Overall it is a communication issue, since on the deal page and through the entire purchase, there was no indication that the deal or service did't cover my residential area. Service provider did call me after the purchase was placed to explain and indicated he has contacted Angie's list to refund. However, no refund activity was in place, therefore I have to call Angie's list again and go through this process to get my refund. I will rate my entire experience B due to the added hassle I have to go through caused by communication breakdown.

I was stranded out of town when we were hit with a lot of cold and snow. My neighbor called and said that it was too much for her son to shovel. I called Selivns from Angies List. He came and plowed my driveway even though he doesn't usually work in the area where I live. It was such a relief to arrive home and be able to get to the house! They did a great job too!
