 + 0 moreI wasn't home when they planted it, but according to my spouse, they didn't make the hole bigger than the root ball, or loosen the roots which had been in the pot for years. I trusted them on the advice of a friend, but the tree was dead in less than two years. I sent pictures and asked questions over email, to which they responded, but wouldn't replace the tree because it was just barely under the value that would've gotten a two year warrantee. If you buy a tree from them, plant it yourself.
Description of Work: I bought a tree from them, and hired them to plant it.

 + 0 moreThey told me when they were going to come, and they were right on time. They planted an apple tree and 2 Pine trees. When they were finished, they cleaned up and there was no trace, except for the trees, that they were there. I will use them again in the future if I decide to add more trees.

Description of Work: In July 2015 I purchased two trees from Schwarz for my backyard. I also purchased their delivery and planting services. At the time of purchase they helped me select the type of trees that would "fit" the dimensions of my backyard. I purchased a Japanese Lilac and a Serviceberry. At the time of purchase I was given a brochure regarding the two types of trees and watering instructions. The planting was scheduled for the third week of August due to their lead-times which was satisfactory for me. The two trees were planted on August 20. When the two gentlemen arrived with the trees they asked me exactly where I wanted the trees planted in my backyard. They told me what they would be doing. They completed the project in less than two hours. They cleaned-up the area and placed mulch around the base of the trees.

 + -1 moreI couldn't be happier with them! When I bought the trees, they gave me a time frame for the planting. They were right on schedule, were neat and courteous. They were very efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and took their mess away with them. There's always someone to help me with any questions I might have. I would definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreAll the flowers are doing well. We have had experiences with other nurseries where plants died within a few weeks, so this definitely adds to the value Schwarz provides.
Description of Work: We needed to get some additional flowers for our flower gardens. The people at Schwarz had helpful suggestions on varieties that would do well in our environment, and they had a wide selection to choose from. From reading earlier reviews, I expected them to be pricey, but they were less expensive than I expected and we got good value for the money.

Description of Work: After going to many nursery's looking for bigger plant selections for a decent price, this is where I found what I needed. I was looking for in particular, Yews for a hedge, and they had what I needed. So far this is the only nursery that I've been to that actually sends out good informational newsletters and has different specials/sales.

 + 0 moreThe work went fine. They are a nursery center and not really a service provider. They have a good selection but are very expensive; I would like it to be a little bit cheaper. It is a good place to buy trees from. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. It takes a while to get them planted, but when they say they are going to be here, they show up. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

 + 1 moreMick is terrific. He has always been very helpful to us in all aspects of landscaping. We don't usually make an appointment for work to be done, Mick just tells us what week they will be there and no one is generally home when work is completed. We trust them! They use high grade mulch, plants, bushes and trees. Most everything is guaranteed. We have never had a problem getting a specimen that died replaced. When they recently did the mulch and planted the tree, I came home to a new tree, fresh mulch, and NO mess. Highly recommend them. Well worth the money.
