I called for service at 4:30pm, they came out to repair at 7:00pm. They charged overtime (double time) and for 90mins of service (parts and labor) I was charged $800. Way Overpriced

It went very well, professional & fast service.

The plumber who showed up was very professional, nice and got the job done. However, extremely expensive!! $492 for an hour of labor. No parts purchased. When he arrived he told me the price and it sounded like a big job so I agreed to the price but when he was done in less than an hour I realized I just paid $492 for an hour of labor. No parts were needed. When I called around I found out this was twice the price I should have paid and when I called to explain this to the office they simply told me it was because I was in a suburb closer to the city and it's a city price.

We were real happy with him, but I was afraid I would have to have the water heater replaced. The cost was really minimal. As far as whether or not it was market value or that service I could not tell you. They could have easily taken me to the cleaners no knowing any better. I would be inclined to call them back when it needs the next service. I was not appalled at the price. I have had other people come to the house in my absence. I kind of picked his brain a little bit about a tankless water heater. He is not a fan of it and he told me why. It is the first answer I have ever gotten from anybody that makes any sense. Two guys came out in case they actually had to remove a water heater.

Plumber Dan was extremely professional and fast acting to assess our multiple problems, such as broken main water shut off valve and replacing old water supply valves, which stopped the water from flooding our 1st and 2nd floors. He then correctly installed our new water filter on refrig (husband was trying to do it backwards). Dan was also very respectful and understanding of our feelings as we were dealing with all of this. We will 100% call and ask for Dan again for all our plumbing needs.

Less than a year later, it's the same issue. At the time, I thought I paid a lot just to unclog (Angie's list puts a price range of 105-214 on it. They charged 500. Plus, it's been less than a year and the same thing is happening, We don't put anything but water down that drain anymore. It is frustrating.

My new wife was looking for plumber for her house for sale and I said that will take care of that sweetie. They did awesome job all in line and most important my wife is a happy wife now !

The crew arrived on time as scheduled. We appreciated they were already prepared with booties to keep our carpeting clean. Both Wally and Isac spent 45 minutes total trying to help us figure out the least destructive way of repairing the drain. (Proper access would require demolition of a downstairs ceiling below the tub.) They even gave a quick try using several tools they had in their arsenal to see of there was a quicker fix. They prepared a quote and timeframe for the repair when the easy way out was deemed high risk. They did advise me, and embolden me, to try the repair myself since at that point I had nothing to lose. Thankfully, with their advice I was successful - but was fully prepared to trust them and schedule their services. I had tried coordinating with three other plumbing companies on Angies List prior to this and became frustrated for a week as one by one other companies failed their appointments. I would not hesitate to use Quality - and will certainly coordinate with them when time comes for future repairs / remodeling involving plumbing needs.

The service was very good and all the prices were from a price list. Product installed seems to be working properly. Also was quoted for a battery backup system (Sumpro), but the pricing was outrageous. They wanted another $2,700 for a product you can get online for under $2,000 and really only needs to be plugged in to start working, very little labor involved.

My phone call was answered quickly and a service appointment was set up for a date and time convenient for me. They arrived on time, assessed what needed to be done and gave an estimate of the work for the water heater and toilet replacement. They have water heaters, toilets and parts needed on their truck so service was performed immediately. I think the work was done professionally, and the water heater and toilet were of good quality. They are not cheap, but you get a quality product in the end which is covered by warranty. Overall, I am very happy with the service from Quality Plumbing and would happily use them again for any plumbing needs.

We noticed the water heater leaking and started making telephone calls. Most plumbers were evasive about the model numbers available. Quality provided the information with no hesitation and a web check proved that it was indeed the model I wanted not the lower recovery unit quoted by others when they did provide a model which many refused to do. In the morning the heater was leaking badly so I shut it off and commenced draining while my wife called Quality. They were able to come in two hours and had the heater on the truck. I say "they" but it was one young man, very polite, very neat, very professional. He removed the old unit and cleaned the floor afterward. I have seen complaints about price in these reviews and it is true that their price was about $300 more than other plumbers, but it included their own company parts and labor warranty for ten years on all parts, not just the tank. I think $30 a year is very reasonable. Four months later we smelled gas in the area and called them. They said it was covered by the warranty if their unit was the cause but otherwise there would be a service charge. I agreed. they came promptly, two plumbers with a gas sniffing device. The fault was not the water heater but the neighboring furnace that another company had worked on in December (fall cleaning). They tightened the pipes leading into the furnace (which i remember the furnace guy taking off for access) which solved the problem. Although I owed them for the call, they said there would be no charge. They would list it as a customer courtesy. They probably saved us from a house fire. We are thinking of converting a bathtub to a shower. We will definitely contact them for the plumbing if we go ahead. I am very confident in their honesty, skill and professionalism. Getting the lowest bid gets you the cheapest work. It seldom is worth it.

We had the toilet drain clogged and overflowing in the basement. The worst I'd ever seen. Completely disgusting. And it was on a Sunday. Called Roto Rooter but they would show until the next day, which was completely unacceptable. Called Quality and they said they would arrive in 90 minutes. The guy walked me through the problem, explained the cost, and got to work. While the prices were high, it was a Sunday and an emergency call, so I expected it. They finished up faster than expected, and cleaned up the soiled area better than it was before. Can not recommend them enough!

Sunday early morning, had a water heater go out. Sump pump was ready to go as well. I called Quality for "emergency" service, since it was Sunday, and the associate on the phone was very knowledgeable and gave me basic pricing up front. She promised the crew would arrive in 1-1/2 hours, and they did! Dan and Isaac arrived when promised and they replaced the water heater and sump pump. Very courteous and professional. As long as Quality has people like Dan and Isaac working for them, I will be a forever grateful customer. I had hot water within the hour after the left! Great Job! Highly recommend!!

I'm Leaving For A Trip At 4 AM, My Showers And Sinks Backed Up. With The Timing Of My Trip(5 Hours From Now) I Felt That Constituted Emergency Plumbing. When I Called, The Gentleman On The Phone Asked Where I Lived, And When I Told Him Fox River Grove, He Said That I'm Not In The Service Area. I Looked On The Website, And They Have A Map, Which Clearly Showed My Location Inside Their Service Area. You Would Think They'd Want Money, But I Guess Not.

I heard a strange noise in my basement and realized that my sump pump was not working. I unplugged the unit and immediately called Quality Plumbing since I noticed they are available 24/7. The individual on the phone took down my story and took my service call payment of $159.95 over the phone. He indicated that someone would be at my home in 90 minutes maybe less. The guy showed up in about an hour and was done within one hour of his arrival. They were very professional and cleaned up the work area once they were finished. I was very pleased with the quality of their work and professionalism. I would definitely use them again.

The plumber was thorough and professional. He found some items that needed to be repaired in our toilet that we went ahead and fixed. That said, he found several thousand dollars of potential work. It felt a bit much when we hadn't noticed anything wrong. I was disappointed that the hot water heater wasn't flushed since I paid for that in the deal. The company was very professional and refunded me that portion of the cost once I contacted them about it.

Quality Plumbing Services, Inc. was terrific. Job well done by Quality Plumbing. Another firm had only offered to replace the battery, if I went out and purchased it (because they don't stock them) or sell me a totally new system for $1,800.00.

Office called in morning to give a 2 hour window for their arrival and called to update at start of expected time; it's nice not to be left wondering. Wally and Fil arrived on time, looked at leaking problem and gave me 2 options because water heater may have been damaged by leaks. Options were explained thoroughly; I chose the cheaper one and it worked out okay. Leaking pipes were replaced and the area cleaned up. Wally and Fil were very pleasant and trustworthy. Basement's dry again and I'm happy.

They came to unclog the toilet but during the time of service the tool that they were using got stuck. They had to remove the toilet in order to get the tool unstuck. They had to crack the toilet in half, and they ended up replacing my toilet.

Very professional, courteous. showed up on time. I forget the gentleman's name, a young guy, nerdy and knew his stuff inside out. He took a look at the water heater and said he wouldn't want to do a water heater flush because it was old but said he would walk around let me know if anything was wrong. About 20 mins later he came upstairs spoke to me, answered my questions and told me I should get a new water heater instead of getting the current one flushed. I thought he was very good with his stuff but I also felt that charging me 89.99 for simply walking around and giving me advice was not worth the money. so I wrote to AL asking if they could do a partial refund. The company contacted me and offered to do a $25 refund to which I said I was surprised because I could see many other deals here that were offering water heater flushes for 60 bucks so charging me $65 (90 - 25) for simply walking around for 20 mins wasn't really fair. I asked them to talk to their management and reconsider. The lady I was corresponding with came back in a day or two and said their management had decided to refund the entire amount to me. I received a check in the mail in the next two weeks. I thought that was extremely professional and very considerate. They did not need to refund the entire amount but they did and it goes to show how much they care for their customers and see it from their customer's point of view. If I do end up investing in a new water heater I will most likely get in touch with them.

The man is very intelligent about boilers. Very organized, friendly and efficient. They are too expensive for me for determining what is wrong with discoloration in new floor tile. Thought it might be too much water under slab. PLEASE DO NOT PUBLISH MY NAME OR COMMENTS. THEY ARE FOR YOUR INFORMATION ONLY.

Service people arrived at the time of the appointment and quickly assessed the situation and rodded the line. They then did a video inspection.

Upon returning home from the hospital with our first born, we had the unfortunate surprise of a flooded basement. We called Quality and they were out to assess the problem within a few short hours on a Saturday afternoon. We appreciated that. The repairman quickly assessed that our sump pump failed and a new one would need to be installed. Luckily, he had one in his truck. Brand? -- he did not offer that information. Warranty on the part? -- he could not say for certain. Oh, but he flipped through his handy book and told us it would cost $1400 to perform the work. While we wanted to puke, since even good quality sump pumps cost a few hundred dollars at most, what could we do? We were in a desperate situation. So, we agreed and he set to work. He replaced the pump in our outdoor flood control system within 2 hours and came back into the house to assess the water in the basement. He confirmed that the new pump was working, but informed us that the flood water had broken our hot water heater. Could he fix it? He said he could try to take the heater pan apart and dry it, but that would cost us another $400 and he would not guaranty his work. Could he replace it? Sure, but that would cost another $1200. We politely told him to leave. Around that time, I noticed he left muddy footprints on my hardwood floors. In short, we feel that this company took unfair advantage of us during circumstances in which we had few alternative choices. Even placing a premium on the actual value of the sump pump, the company charged us what amounted to over $500 per hour for labor. We will not be using them again -- unless this incredibly costly sump pump fails in the future. Then, they will be hearing from us.

Job was completed quickly and cleanly. Problem by all appearances was solved after a relatively small but stubborn blockage was removed. Service rep was courteous and very professional. Only complain was $492 is a significant fee for this service. My estimates, based on web research, was that it should cost around $300. But I needed it done, so I paid it.
