Good Service

We noticed a small water leak on the floor below the toilet when it was flushed, so we drained the toilet and called two plumbers. Quality Plumbing could see us first, 4 days later, so we went with them. We described the leak on the phone and were told it could be "too many things to provide an estimate for." At our appointment, the plumber was prompt and professional. I showed him the toilet and described the same leak, verbally. He didn't need to see anything else to provide us an estimate of $357 to replace the seal and reattach the toilet the base. I am not a plumber but I found the price to be way above my expectations. Having waited already, I accepted the proposed price because I was missing work for this repair. The repair took about 25 minutes. Although the toilet is no longer leaking, I felt misled over the phone. After all, I would not have gone with QPS had I known their price, and it seemed like the gentleman on the phone could have provided the same exact estimate that the plumber provided at the appointment.

It went extremely well. The person who came was completely professional, even to cleaning up afterward. We would definitely use this company again.

I arrived home late after an out of town trip, to find water running down the walls of my basement. Thank goodness that someone at Quality Plumbing answered the phone after midnight! No other plumbing companies I called had a 24/7 answering service, only a recording. The calm voice on the other end assured my they would be out in the morning, just as soon as they could get here. When Scott arrived, he was professional, assess the problem, told me what he was going to do, and how much it would cost. He did exactly as he said he would, installed a new pipe and faucet, caulked the opening and cleaned up all debris. I was so impressed with the professional job, and knowledgeable service person. But most of all, knowing that I can count on Quality Plumbing any time of the day or night gave me peace of mind, and I know I will be their customer for life!

This is my second time using this company. As always, the customer service on the phone (Diane) is excellent. I had to reschedule the visit a few times and she was very amenable. Our toilet had problems flushing and clogging, etc. They arrived a little late (but called before hand) and offered to auger the toilet or install a brand new one for about the same price. So my husband agreed to install a new one. They had brand new toilets in their truck ready to go so the install was done in one hour. No muss, no fuss. Upfront pricing with a price book and they accepted the $25 coupon. The $59 visit fee was waived because we decided to proceed with the services. Wally and his partner were friendly, professional, and courteous. We love our new toilet! We would've had them fix our leaky shower faucet too if we weren't scheduled to replace those bath fixtures in a month with another vendor. Yay Quality Plumbing!

Last July I got a panicked call around midnight from my mom and brother who live in a two story town house in Des Plaines. Our basement started "raining sewer water" due to a broken sewer pipe. The company my brother chose was Quality Plumbing. They arrived within one hour to start work. They repaired the broken sewer pipe and obtained all the necessary paperwork/permits to fix everything. They worked steadily for three days to ensure that everything was fixed. It was a major disaster and they came through. The damage was extensive; entire basement flooded along with sewage backing up into first floor bathroom. Wally and John were amazing. They were very professional and explained everything in detail for the estimate. They came through in the middle of the night to start the repairs. Diane the receptionist on the phone was pleasant, friendly, and very informative. The clean up was done by another company (due to insurance claims) but the plumbing repair was done by Quality Plumbing. Overall the damage that was incurred by the flooding reached over $60,000 NOT including the broken sewer pipe - this included the home theater basement, new first floor bathroom, and new kitchen. Since then they have fixed numerous leaks in my mom's house including a leaky toilet and bathroom sink in master bathroom, and a same-day install of a broken sump pump the day before a huge storm.They are my go-to plumber. I'm actually having them check my clogged toilet in my own home this weekend.

I placed a call to the 847 259-0200 number for service for a clogged drain that I was rodded the week before by a different company. I requested service that day or the following morning. I was quoted a small fee (I think $59.00) that was to be paid if I decided not to proceed with the service, otherwise it would be waived. They scheduled me for that same day actually 1-1/2 hour after my initial call. The ad stated:"uniformed, professional technician...drop cloths, booties placed over his shoes, full cleanup of the work area, state of the art equipment". I was pleasantly surprised to receive all they promised. The technician (Scott) was the most professional plumber I have ever encountered. He knew exactly what to do and brought equipment into my home that was so clean and sanitized it looked new. My toilet had to be removed for him to perform the service and he used a rodding device that was far superior to any I have seen before (not to mention CLEAN). He had clean drop cloths and after picking them up he sanitized the entire area. I would highly recommend this company and have to add that this was a dirty job that was handled with superior professionalism.

We contacted Quality after talking to several local companies who did not have much knowledge of Energy Star water heaters and tried to tell us what we should want or give huge estimates on more than we needed. John and Wally were happy to help us pick the best one for us and told us about cost trade-offs and technical details such as which ones had more reliable parts. They gave us a written estimate and were happy to go get the model we wanted from the warehouse even though they had other different ones on the truck. They worked very hard and took out the old 40 gal. tank and brought in the new 50 gallon one, on a two-wheel cart, down the basement stairs and into our small furnace room. They wore shoe covers, swept up bits of rust that fell off the old one, and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. John chatted pleasantly about his home beer-making pursuits while he worked and we learned some great tips. They were competent, efficient and experienced and we would recommend them to others. We have been very happy with the new water heater, especially our daughter who used to hate the early morning showers with tepid water.

Best service period!!! To sum up our experience I found that a small amount of sewage had backed up into our basement shower and another floor drain. I contacted a large nationally known rooter company thinking there was probably something clogging the main sewer line which was causing the backup into our basement floor drains. The rooter technician ran a camera down into the main waste line and came upon the obstruction and said it was a piece of pipe that had broken off and is now blocking the flow of waste out of the house. The rooter technician said they would need to break-up a section of concrete flooring in the basement and potentially my front concrete porch so they could gain access and replace that section of line. The rooter technician packed up his things, charged us almost $400 and left a quote for $4,000 (not including the cost to replace the section of concrete floor!). I contacted Quality Plumbing for another assessment. From the start they were extremely professional. Wally and John came to the home and fully assessed the situation in a friendly and skillful manner. They put a high quality camera in the line and came upon the same obstruction the rooter tech had found and immediately knew what they were looking at...it was a check valve that had failed. They went into our basement to the exact same location where the rooter tech said there was a broken line. At this same spot in our basement floor was a samll pit that for years we had no idea what it was (the rooter tech also had no idea!) Wally and John knew exactly what it was...it was the access pit to the houses main waste line check valve. They removed the years of crud and dust, unscrewed the cover, removed the check valve which immediately restored the waste flow out of the house. We cannot express how relieved we were knowing that this was not a more serious issue. But, also how upset we were at the rooter technician knowing that they almost tore up our concrete basement floor in addition to getting hooked into spending thousands of dollars on a supposed problem that did not even exist. So either the rooter technician was completely incompetent or we were getting scammed. This was a lesson learned. It pays to use quality professionals who are EXPERIENCED and HONEST. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Quality Plumbing. Do not hesitate to use Quality Plumbing...these guys are excellent!

This is a rental condo that I own and my tenant informed me first thing thursday morning that there was no hot water. I called the company I had used in the past and they couldn't come until the following morning, Friday morning. My tenant insisted that it get fixed that day because she has children and it's winter. So, I found Quality by Googling servicers in my area because for some reason, they did not show up on my search on Angie's List. I called them around 10am and they said they could be there in an hour. Then my tenant said she needed them to come at 4 when she got home from work. That was afterhours rates, but she refused to let me go to the condo and let them in myself. So, Diane at Quality, who is the epitome of what stellar customer service looks like, said that the techs said that they would come back at 4 and they wouldn't charge me the overtime rates because they wanted my tenant to have hot water and they also sympathized with the difficulty I was having with my tenant. Wow! They did go back at 4 and discovered that there were parts needed, but by that time, it was too late to get them from the store. So, my tenant's fiance said that he would be home all day the next day so that they could come back and complete the repair with the replacement parts. He was not there when they returned the next morning, and when they called him, he implied he would not be showing up to let them in as was agreed upon the evening before. So, I advised the techs to just go ahead and leave so that they could tend to other jobs. As they were about to leave, my tenant's fiance pulled up and let them in and the repair was completed. When I spoke to Wally, one of the techs, on the phone a couple times, he was nothing but professional, friendly and compassionate. This absolutely went above and beyond in the face of the resistance by my tenants to be cooperative and reasonable. Which truly reflects the culture of this company. They will be my first call every time and I have informed the rest of the owners in the building of my recommendation as well as our management company.

The two men who showed up were very professional. Simply put I had sticker shock! Total estimated quote $3760 (includes all the above) If I wasn't underemployed I probably would have used them; but I simply don't have that kind of money. They quoted about $1600 for a 50g Bradford White Water Heater. I chose to go with a lesser quality water heater (Rheem contractor grade rather than consumer grade sold at big box stores; I discovered their is a difference) 50g installed for $875 from a licensed plumber working out of his home who was highly recommend by several neighbors. Putting off the rest of the work until such time as I have the money.

I woke up in the morning and had no hot water throughout the house. So I went into the basement and there was water everywhere. I called Quality Plumbing Services and the lady on the phone helped me safely turn off the water heater. She told me they were pretty busy that day but would do whatever they could to accommodate me. Within 1/2 hour she called me back and told me they rearranged their schedule due to my situation and would have someone out to me shortly. The plumber came in, had the water heater on the truck and everything he needed to complete the job. He was courteous and professional, clean and neat, and did an outstanding job. He even took the time to soak up my wet floor. From the moment I called to the time he walked out my door I was extremely pleased with Quality Plumbing Services. I will not hesitate to call them again.
