Fast and easy!

Of the three companies we interviewed, they were by far the lowest cost and easiest to talk to. We were offered the winter rate at the time of the estimate, and told they would call us to schedule sometime between Dec and March. About a month later, they called and we made a date. George and his team were prompt, efficient, timely and polite. Everything was hauled away and they did a great cleanup. George kept us well informed thorough the day and the work was done with excellence. Before starting the owner made sure our neighbor was aware the crane would need to be on his property and that we had received our neighbor's permission. Plywood and plastic boards were used under the wheels of the crane to prevent damage to the lawn.

The team arrived a bit early and walked me through the entire job before starting. They also did a bit of additional trimming since they were in the area while they were cutting down the three trees that were needed. Overall, it was a great experience.

It turned out fine, very well. My husband was very pleased with their work. The price was fine too. They were very punctual, if I remember correctly. My husband really liked them.

Had 3 estimates and J.S had a fair cost, plus it included everything that needed to get done, e.g cutting and chipping and hauling away.

We used J & S to take down a tree in our backyard that developed dutch elm disease. Their responsiveness and pricing was top notch, and the team that spent the entire day here to take the tree down and to do some other trimming were professional, on-time, courteous and cleaned up everything after a full day. These guys did an amazing job! They had to deal with two neighbors, the tenant and removal of a car in the driveway to get their work done. They worked around the distractions and did an amazingly professional job. They were efficient, safe and offered advice as needed. The wife of the head guy - Stephanie- was great about keeping me informed of their timing. All of the work was in the back yard and one of the trees was dead and I was scared it might fall on a house in our crazy Fall rainy weather. J&S Tree Service removed the trees and trimmed extra trees/ vines that were around the yard and getting tangled in the power lines. They also cleaned the gutters while they were up on the roof. These guys have done two of my rental properties with dangerous tree situations. I really appreciate their attentiveness and professionalism.

George and his crew exceeded my expectations, and I am so very pleased with the work. George spent a significant amount time specifically discussing my needs and expectations with respect to each tree, bush, and hedge. He and his crew were extremely professional and pleasant, and they were well-equipped with several trucks of professional tree trimming and disposal equipment, as well as safety gear. The bushes were artistically trimmed and reshaped and clippings were cleaned up and removed. The Black Walnut was pruned to a perfect umbrella shape, and all dead branches were removed. But what I was most surprised by and pleased with was the work performed on the aging Oak tree. The roots of the Oak were damaged when my home was constructed 23 years ago, and the tree experienced a significant decline in the 10 years following construction. I had a large portion of the tree removed 18 years ago, and although another tree service told me the tree would be dead within the year, I had deep root fertilizing done, and amazingly, the tree grew new branches. It was and is fighting to live. The tree had an odd shape and people remarked it looked like a ghost tree. The top portion of the 5 foot wide trunk, and several large branches deteriorated and died in the past few years. I wanted those portions of the tree removed for safety, as well as aesthetic purposes. I advised George that whatever he could do would be acceptable, as I wasn't ready to give up on this tree which was trying so hard to survive. When I arrived home from work, I was stunned to see that not only was the requested work done, but the tree was pruned in such a way that it now looks balanced and almost attractive. George and his crew did not have much to work with re this Oak. Unlike the previous tree service, which chopped at the tree without regard to its appearance because it was in decline, George understood my desire to preserve the tree and went above and beyond and beautified it! I have come to expect mediocre work and lack of desire to please the customer from contractors. It seems that there is always something which is not done correctly or to be dissatisfied about, and a lack of concern to make it right. Which is why George and J & S are so very different! They not only did what they were supposed to do, they went above and beyond and actually made me happy that I had the work done. I highly recommend J & S.

Stephanie walked me through pros and cons of trimming vs removal. She was very consultative and professional during the entire process. Came out twice to provide experienced evaluation of what they thought should be done and helped us to make an informed decision on the services to be provided.

It went extremely well. They were courteous, fast, and efficient. They cleaned up so well, that if I was not at home, I am not sure I would know they were even there except that the trees looked so much better! They did a fantastic job. I was extremely happy with their work and would definitely hire them again.

GREAT! These guys were so great! J&S had all of the equipment and were reasonable in their pricing. While they were there they also removed debris from my gutters with their leaf blower and they cut down a small bush that I had planned to have another person do. They cleaned up everything beautifully! I will likely have them do another rental property that I manage. Finally, the neighbor came out and said she wanted a tree removed -- and they cut down her tree! They also gave an estimate for tree removal to another neighbor!

Everything went great. Someone came to estimate the work, then scheduled the work to be completed the following week. The team arrived on time, did the work, and left the yard clean of debris.

Called numerous times to find out the time they could get the work done and they never got back to me. Ended up cancelling, did not want to wait for who knows how long!

Everything went very well. Stephanie and Jorge came out the evening I contacted them and gave me a quote we agreed was reasonable. They were flexible scheduling around my work schedule. Jorge and his crew showed up right on time, did great work and spent time meticulously cleaning up. Jorge also had some good recommendations on landscape ideas.

Stephanie returned my call quickly and was able to come out with Jorge and give me an estimate within a day or two. We agreed to a very reasonable price ($400 less than the next closest bid) and scheduled the work around my schedule. The crew (7 total) was all very pleasant and worked meticulously to get everything cut down and cleaned up. I was worried about my neighbors fence but they were true pro's and would tie up and pulley certain pieces and then cut and guide them right where they wanted. They used a crane to support the birch, cut it at the bottom, and lifted it with precision out from between the houses and then cut it up. Jorge was easy to talk to during the day and clarified what I wanted and checked in as they went. I seriously couldn't have been any happier with the service.

J&S is highly recommended! From the initial inspection to the complete removal of our trees, this company is responsive and very professional. They arrived with an array of equipment and a large crew. After consulting with us, they skillfully and contentiously removed the trees and cleaned up both areas completely. They are a pleasure to deal with and we would happily use them again.

AMAZING - Hands down one of the best service providers we have worked with and with a 100+ year old house I feel like we have used many. J&S was professional and responsive all around from obtaining a quote, to scheduling, to completing the work. Our job incurred extreme unforseen events (a prior owner had filled the tree with cement) significantly complicating the removal. J&S found a solution and worked endlessly to work around the cement to complete the job. All work was done within tight confines of our house and neighbors with no damage to our driveways, fences or yards each of which were obstacles. And the full work site was cleaned so that other than the missing tree you can not tell that they were ever here. Without any hesitation, they will be our first call for any other issues as well as an easy reference for friends and neighbors.

I called to get an estimate to plant some trees and 2 weeks later I have still not received a time for them to come out for an estimate.

Everything turn out well. They did a great job. The truck did leave a large tread mark on the dirt driveway. We would hire their service in the future.

These guys were great! They were very responsive and scheduled around my work so that I could be here. They did research on what appeared to be a disease on my favorite trees (did I mention that I love my trees?) and suggested steps I could take to stop it from spreading to the rest of the tree. They were also considerate of my tears at losing several trees due to over-crowding in the yard. A difficult experience was made so much easier by this team! I will have some additional pruning in the upcoming year and will certainly use them again!

This is a husband & wife team. They are both very knowledgeable and so helpful. Cheerful to deal with. It was a pleasure! Jorge and his crew came out exactly on schedule and got right to work. I had a huge tree removed, some bushes removed, smaller trees & bushes trimmed. They ground up the branches etc and spread the mulch around my yard. They cleaned up everything before they left. They did a top notch excellent job!! Very satisfied! I will definitely be using J&S again!
