Everything went smooth and all items made it safely to the new home.

Very smooth, no problems. They arrived about 30 minutes late, but did call on their way. Crew worked efficiently, did a very good job of protecting furniture and glass items with moving blankets/cardboard before loading. Move into the 2 story home was seemless, they placed all items as we asked and were polite and easy to work with. I will certainly call them again if I have moving needs. I don't recall the exact price, but they did offer an Angie's list discount at the time of booking and the actual cost came in less than the estimated cost.

I had about 30 boxes and some large furniture being moved from a second story condo building. I suspected that this might be a tricky job with the larger furniture and awkward stairway and exit to the building but the guys got to work, figured it out and did a great job. These were professional movers, they work for the company. These guys obviously knew what they were doing and that made all the difference. Also, their quote was right on - no surprises. Great job!

All went exceptionally well. Not only did I get the furniture moved as I requested but, with a 3 hr work time allotted for the job, the guys volunteered to move every thing else I needed moved from a 2nd floor condo unit to the ground level garage for easy pick up by various charities that would not deal with the flight of steps in the building. The guys were great---professional in handling the bedroom set carefully and a pleasure to work with besides.

It required going up and down two flights of stairs and the piano was very heavy. They were easy to work with, courteous and got the job done.

We contacted them on Sunday night, they responded first thing Monday morning, sent us an estimate and were able to accommodate our tight schedule and do the job that Friday morning. They were prompt, professional and took great care not to do any damage to our furniture or home. This company is a pleasure to do business with!

Office was very helpful and responsive. We were able to immediately confirm an appointment for the date we were needing unlike other companies we contacted who wanted pages of information only to tell us they were not available. J & P also reconfirmed the time and address the day before our arrival and made sure we didn't have any other questions or supplies that we were needing them to bring. The next day, the two employees arrived ahead of time and were friendly, fast, hard working and careful with our posessions. They were also helpful with suggestions for the area since we were from out of state. The billing was straight forward with no surprises when the job was complete.

Actual movers, the men, were fine. They worked hard and were courteous. My issue was management. Follow-up was not good, and then movers showed up and hour late with NO boxes and NO wrapping paper and NO bubble wrap. In other words, unprepared to do this move. They said they were never told they had to do any packing. This was front office's fault. Movers had to run to Home Depot to get boxes and whatever other items they needed. Added stress to already stressful situation.

I used this moving company this last weekend. I had three guys: Bug, Dan, and Joe. They had to move heavy stuff up 4 flights of small apartment stairs. They didn't make one scratch, didn't take one break, and had a great attitude the whole time. These 3 movers were professional, hard working, and cared about their job. They were also very knowledgeable and helpful. I was very impressed with Bug, Dan, and Joe. Also, Bonnie was very helpful and imformative and answered all my questions leading up to the move. The estimate ended up being spot on.

Overall fantastic job. The crew was courteous, professional, and hard working. We moved into a new construction home and they didn't leave any marks on the walls. Our large couch didn't easily fit down the basement stairs, but they kept trying and finally got it. Estimate was the lowest we received and the actual labor was a couple of hours under the estimate. We had already moved some boxes and had all other boxes out of the house and in the garage waiting. The crew said this helped them be efficient. We could not have been happier with J&P!

They were able to come the next day and the price was reasonable. The two men were prompt, courteous, and professional. They were very careful to protect the piano and the wood floors. Well done!

Outstanding job at all levels! This all started with a phone conversation with Bonnie, who gave me just enough information not to be paranoid about the move. She sent me all reminders and explanations by email, like the move was even more important to her than to me. The four movers came on two trucks right in time. They all knew their roles in our move. They covered most of our furniture to prevent damage and they were very quick in doing so. Christian was commanding what needs to be carried first and at what angle the furniture needs to rotated to go through our door frames. They wasted no time and moved at a quick pace. They delivered everything to our new home without any marks or scratches! They put everything exactly where we wanted it and we didn't have to adjust anything after their work. Daniel made suggestions on how better to position our grand piano that we delivered with a piano moving company a day before. They made our move stress free and rather very much enjoyable, thank to their jokes. They even finished their work before the time that was estimated to move our belongings was up! The rest of the week our family was discussing how strong and efficient the J & P movers were! We would most definitely use J & P movers again!

The move went well. We had already moved a number of things into the house and left mostly the bigger furniture and the remaining boxes for the movers. They were on time and worked hard. I am, however, missing a glass shelf that was taken onto their truck and suspect it was broken but was never told. I found out after the deadline for contacting the company.

The crew was very professional but still personable. They worked hard and and came in under the initial quote. Would definitely recommend them.

Had a very positive experience using J&P Movers in Addison Illinois. They were reliable, respectful and very reasonable. Ask for Bonnie, she was terrific coordinating the move.

J & P Moving provided moving and packing services for our move from Crest Hill to Romeoville. I was very happy with the service and price. Bonnie and Patti, the office staff, were very friendly and efficient in scheduling my move. The crew at pick up was marvelous and was wonderful to deal with me. They ensured that proper packing was done. During the pick up process, the supervisor came to greet me and make sure that job was going as planned. That little gesture impressed me. We were surprised at the great service and how quick the team worked. Very hard working crew on both ends. The price was reasonable and very fair considering all the other moving companies that really overcharge for their service.

I was very pleased with the services of J & P Moving. The first contact with the business was with Bonnie. She was helpful in providing a reasonable quote and a date that would work for both of us. She was friendly, knowlegable and willing to work with my requests. The three man team was professional and hard working. Their attitudes were positive which made the hard move much easier. Both of the moves went great! The movers were prompt and very pleasant to deal with. They took great care with placing our things into the storage facility and were able to get everything moved into just one of them. When they moved us into the townhouse I was a bit nervous because it was brand new but they didn't hit any walls and dealt with all of the stairs professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again because they did an outstanding job and were priced very fairly as well. At the end of the day I couldn't he happier with the services they provided.

Excellent. Communication with Bonnie was clear, responsive and comprehensive. The actual movers were excellent - very friendly, knowledgable, professional, and careful of our belongings. The actual delivery was quick and exceeded our expectations.

Terrible. I believe it is important to share a recent moving experience with J&P Moving Company based out of Lombard, Il. The incompetence of the moving crew was beyond anything I experienced with in the past and it appears to be a known issue that is not being addressed by the owner. Here are the bulleted facts: I contacted J&P Moving for an estimate in April and received that estimate on April 21st. That same week, I secured them for the move and requested lead move supervisor, Ryan Oeller, who has moved me twice before and did a great job. It was confirmed that Ryan would be the supervisor on my move. Throughout the next couple of months, we coordinated move dates and on no less than two other occasions, Ryan was still my move coordinator. J&P showed up at my home on June 7th and Ryan Oeller was not the person who showed up at my house. I asked where Ryan was and was told he was working on an out-of-state move. I also learned through the crew that all out-of-state moves were handled by Ryan and so basically, although I was told that Ryan was going to be my move supervisor, J&P had to know for some time that he was not and did not bother to tell me. The closing on my home was June 10th and this was a two-day move process so I had no choice but to let the move proceed. On August 9th, Ryan Oeller delivered the goods to me in Maryland since of course, I am now out-of-state. He and fellow career mover, Robbie are experienced movers that do a fantastic job. The first thing they delivered was a $3,800 customer leather Ethan Allan sofa that is less than two years-old. The leather was damaged on numerous areas and two of the four legs were cracked. Ryan called J&P immediately to let them know what happened and shared with me that another customer had a mattress ruined and was authorized on the same day to go out and buy a replacement. It was clear by the look on Ryan’s face and the basic non-answer he gave me that J&P was not going to do the same for me considering the cost. The leather sofa was packed with space saver pads that do not protect it and was also obviously dropped and dragged which caused the legs to crack. This was not an accident, it was incompetent packing, storing and moving. The sofa was basically ruined and the insurance company is giving me $245. That doesn’t even pay for one of the cushions. That was just the beginning of the damage. The rest of the damaged items are shown in the photos. I had an antique vanity with a chunck of wood missing, a broken screw in my triple dresser when they took the mirror off, a broken track in another dresser, broken fixture on a curio cabinet, broken legs on a second sofa, etc. My furniture is not cheap and this is beyond simple mistakes of accidents which we all know can take place during a move. As I said, all moves have some damages, but the level of incompetence where I paid for professional packing and things were just thrown in boxes with no protection needs to be investigated. J&P did sent my info to their claims adjuster who just pays by the pound as written in their contract. Yes, I initially signed the contract but the contract should also hold J&P responsible for holding up their end of the agreement to professionally pack and move customers belongs which they did not do. In addition, I had things stolen of the items they packed. The packing of my garage was done by J&P and when Ryan was moving my things out, he asked if he could borrow my drill. We unpacked a garage box packed by J&P and found my Dewalt drill bits but my Dewalt drill that was in a case with two batteries and a charger was stolen. Ryan even marked it as stolen on the paperwork and I heard him call that into J&P as well. My dolly was also stolen out of my garage as well as my daughter’s Razor light-up scooter. Where in the contract state that they know they have issues with their staff who do not supervisor temp workers and that there’s a good chance that many items will be delivered damaged? That type of disclosure is what is needed on the contracts J&P uses. The inconsistency on how damage is handled is also in question. On another move conducted by J&P for me in September of 2013, one of the movers dropped a piece of furniture and it went crashing down the stairs. It was an accident and although I had the same exact contract in 2013 as I had in 2016, J&P replaced the piece at cost. That was because it was only $199. The worse part of this, is that I as well as my realtor and friend who were at my house during the delivery, overheard conversations between Ryan and the owner where it was clear that the men who delivered the damaged goods were frustrated since it happens a lot but the owner won’t deal with the situation. Ryan and Robbie apologized for the state of my delivery and were obviously frustrated that they had to be the ones who delivered a truck load of damaged goods. It wasn’t their fault, but since the issue is not being addressed and J&P will not do anything to make this right except send it to an adjuster and hide behind the contract, I feel a need to report this.
